Man this is messed up. Time to put in Chris Clemons and bench Gibril Wilson. Time to trade up for Eric Berry. Time to look for some new ILBs. Time to trade Ginn for Crabtree.

This game is why everyone in Miami hates Cam Cameron.

Only one word can sum up last night's game: Wow.

Wow, I can't believe the Colts managed to win with less than 15 minutes of offense.

Wow, I can't believe the Dolphins couldn't win with that much ToP and Indy's defense being worn out.

Wow, I can't believe I missed the first half, hoping that Heroes might finally be good again.

When it only takes you 12 seconds to complete an 80 yard "drive" for a TD, you're not going to need much ToP, and your Defense is going to get worn down.

To the dolphins:

Their game plan was simple. Run the ball at the Colts' suspect run defense, and control the clock to keep Manning off the field. It was a good game plan, and it would have worked if it hadn't been for the fact that the Colts' offense just outmatched the Fins' D.

That being said, the Colts had no capability to control the clock whatsoever. They needed a 3 minute drive for a TD to win the game, and it took them about 30 seconds of clock time, leaving Miami enough time to drive all they way back and win. Miami didn't pull it off, but the Colts inability to control the clock put them in a position to lose that game.

What the Colts need to work on:
- Running the ball. Maybe Addai isn't the right guy. I watched him try to go the wrong way around his blockers several times.
- Stopping the run. WTF guys, when Miami shows wildcat, how about adjusting for a change.

What the 'Fins need to work on:
- Passing the ball. Because when they needed a 2-minute drive, they couldn't get it done. Whether it was dropped passes, lack of protection, or some inaccurate throws - it didn't come together.
- Stopping the pass. Can't let Manning have his way with you like that. He's a great quarterback, but he can be stopped. Getting a better pass rush is a start.

Come to think of it, both defenses are bad at stopping what their offense is bad at producing. That makes a lot of sense since they practice against each other.

What the 'Fins need to work on:
- Two Minute Drill. No time outs left and you are lying their trying to catch your breath while Pennington slow walks to the line staring off and trying to figure out what to do next. JEEBUS!!! You run up and spike the ball as quick as possible, then worry about the next play coming in from the sidelines!!!

The mistake was the 2nd timeout.

Also, the Fins passing was perfect. Pennington was almost perfect tonight. We just need to work on replacing Ginn, who missed two PERFECT THROWS. Talk about Mr. Anti-Clutch. Fasano dropped a perfect TD too, but I'll give him a pass since he was recovering from an awful first game and blocked superbly.

Gibril Wilson needs to learn how to tackle and Channing Crowder needs to learn how to cover. If it wasn't for Gibril, Manning's big plays would've been big plays, but not TDs.

The announcers were all up on that guy Long's jock, too, but he did seem to be blocking really well.

That's because Long got embarrassed by Atlanta Abe last game. Freeney embarrassed him too before he got gassed.

Jake Long is strong like hell but he has awful footwork and technique.

Mark Sanchez has looked pretty darn impressive though. And that's coming from a Dolphins fan. It looks like the AFC East is the best division in the league.
👍

^^^ I'm gonna disagree with that in favor of the AFC North, and I have a hunch Max Powers might too.

did anybody find the 'trip' Cowboys T Flozell Adams on Giants DE Justin Tuck unsportmen like contact or a cheap punk move at most? it caused Tuck to miss the remainder of the game, luckily the Giants still prevailed and beat the 'Boys at their new home as well as scored the first points a FG and first TD too if i'm not mistaking someone correct me if i'm wrong...

Passing was not perfect. That's not necessarily Pennington's fault. (But I do remember a few bad throws from Pennington as well)

How do you take losses? Do you take them like "oh, well... we lost." Or thinking "damn it! We lost AGAIN!"? Well, the Texans lost 31-24. The Texans absolutely need to defend against the rush much better. Even worse, Mario Williams tries to make a play on defense, only to horse-collar a Jaguar, basically sealing our fate after a late fumble we had.

On a kinder note, at least the Texans' radio network isn't talking about this loss as if the season's been over since losing to the Jets on Week 1. Hope your teams fared much better than my Texans on this day.

Well, its a lot clearer now for me. The Atlanta defense is lacking in a big way. The Pats ran the ball at will, and despite Brady missing throw after throw we still could not stop them. Clearly playing outside is not a good thing for the birds, well we will get em next week.:)

If we continue at this rate, we might just get Eric Berry after all! I really hope there are some good free agent WRs available next year. The verdict is in: Ted Ginn is ****.

Very true I am a Falcons Fan:sly: and looking at the roster in the preseason had shown the D was going to be just above cupcake.:indiff: The Falcons don't play as well on the road. We might get pounded on the run game by the 49ers and Frank Gore but, we can pull one on the road.:)

You have all got to be kidding me. The Kansas City Chiefs have been further even decided to look far similar than anyone in the NFL possibly can. It's just common sense.

They're terrible. I want Al Saunders back.

I actually learned something about my colts from an ANNOUNCER yesterday. Collinsworth explained that the colts' D is built to preserve a lead. Peyton puts 'em behind, other team starts passing, the defense rushes the passer.

This type of scheme works exceptionally well against a team like the Cardinals, and not particularly well against a team like the Dolphins.

The Colts were firing on all cylinders last night. Pass rush was getting to Warner, Peyton was sharp w/good protection. Even the running game got a little boost (who is Brown?). That was fun to watch.

Gotta go with the Cowpokes, I dont think they will lose there first 2 home games...surely not :dunce:

The Colts look like they are mayby the early season powerhouse, the Jets are good but they have a rookie QB vs The Colts having Mr. Manning

Looks like Pennington is out for the season. Not good.

In other news, I cannot wait for this upcoming Ravens game against the Patriots. I like our chances against Fred Taylor, and Brady doesn't look all the way back yet. Definitely going to be an interesting game.

I got to go with the Cowboys seeing how want the Panthers to have a losing season so they can get rid of John Fox and Jake Delhomme.

It seems like losing to the Detroit Lions means that Jim Zorn's seat is hotter than Summer in Malaysia. Is Zorn going to remain the Redskins' head coach after this season or during the season?

Wouldn't be surprised if the 'skins hired Mike Shanahan.

The Texans knocked off the Raiders 29-6 here in Houston. The Raiders have now gone seven or eight quarters without a touchdown. The most exciting moment was when we scored a Safety. Then, after the punt (or kickoff?), Jacoby Jones runs it in for a touchdown.

If the Texans are such a bad team, then bad teams lose to worse teams. The Texans aren't anywhere near impressive, but it goes to show that we're not THAT bad. And by the way... BIG TIME revenge from our game at Oakland last year. Texans are now 2-2 as they'll play at Arizona next Sunday. Arizona is NOT a sorry team any longer. The Texans will need to play with the same amount of character and intensity as they've shown in this game if they expect to improve to 3-2 after next week.

Bengals at Browns in Overtime, and a good one is going on in New England as the Ravens try to take down the Patriots.

Ugh, tough loss against the Patriots. Not all bad, though - Joe Flacco is the real deal. He kept us in the game.
