Kris Brown had the same problems when he played for Pittsburgh, he always missed the big FGs. Part of it here was that he could only kick towards one field goal post, the other one being on the open side of the stadium really messed with him. It was a glorious day when we cut him and added Jeff Reed.

Not the most clutch guy if you're talking about NFL kickers.

The Texans laid a m:censored:f:censored:ing egg in the Second Half. Up 20-7 in the first half... all to fail (again) 35-27. Seems like when we're favored by sports analysts (which is better than always being hated on), we lose. So this will mean that I won't be hearing the end of this on shows like Pardon the Interruption, which ALWAYS has to show my Texans getting their asses handed to. I don't care about the AFC South because we're NOT going to win that.

Hope your favorite teams aren't f:censored:ing up on the football field like my Texans... I need something to break or rip apart.

Oh, I see you're not a Dolphins fan. It's ok, John, welcome to the pain.

Why do defenses still refuse to acknowledge that we have a pass offense now? That's two very good games for Favre in a row.

That would be Colts Om-Nom. Unless I'm missing something else here.

Meanwhile, that was a game I was very badly wanting to watch, but of course we get handed the Browns game, which to me was about as dry as a turkey fart. :grumpy: Another come-from-behind victory for us and...we saw highlights. Bull:censored: on that.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Dolphins have the most points allowed in the 4th quarter of any team in the NFL and we gave away the Colts game, the Saints game, and today we gave away the game to Buffalo after getting shut out in the 2nd half.

Welcome to the pain.

Most exciting game I've ever seen. Yeah I know I'm saying it because we won, but whatever. Un. Fricken. Believable.

On any other message board or social gathering, I'd be laughed at for being a Texans fan. And as I usually say, I don't believe in expectations. Most of the Texans fans gave up on the Texans on Week 1. The damned sports radio people talked about having many months to prepare for the new season with this being inexcusable. I honestly think we could have beaten at Arizona, at Indianapolis, vs. Tennessee, and even today vs. Indianapolis. We're 5-6, so if you take those losses, we'd probably be 9-2 (imagine THAT turnaround!) One yard short in Arizona, Kris "Money" Brown goes bankrupt on two Overtime-forcing kicks, and the Texans couldn't keep down the Colts long enough to secure a much-needed win. Most people would just give up on the season and look forward to 2010. But there's a difference. Unlike my Astros in baseball, the Texans actually have talent and actually have a future right now. They need to find a way to get their heads into the game and play like they want it. Playoff teams want it. Contenders want it. Indy was too good, but we could have played much better than letting that dagger in our hearts further bloody up what would have been a breakout season.

I'm not as ashamed of my Texans as most other Texans fans, but I think this is a better Texans team than teams past. They just lack the finish and the drive to really contend not only in the AFC South, but the NFL in general. The Texans now just have a chance to record their first winning season. And if they do just that, I'll be happy while the ESPN people just nevermind us, like we're in the same boat as Buffalo, Cleveland, Oakland, and Detroit. Sucks being me...

Indeed. I just want the satisfaction of having my team beat yours this year (finally!) and then I wish the Texans all the best.

I would just like to bring some perspective to those who get angry when their favorite team is mediocre or even mostly good, but just lost a big game in a big way:

I am a St. Louis Rams fan.

1-10 <- I drink a lot on Sundays. It eases the pain.

...and the Texans couldn't keep down the Colts long enough to secure a much-needed win.

Don't feel bad. Nobody has managed to do that so far this season, and lots of teams have been up on Indy in the 4th quarter. You're not exactly alone as a fan of a team the Colts came back to beat, and you're certainly not the closest margin of victory. Blame the Texans for the other losses, but the Colts have been turning things around in the 4th quarter for years now. Also, note that Cardinals fans are coping with a last second Vince Young performance just like you Texans fans are.

Thanks for the love, GTPlanet. I just feel like if you hold somebody down (no matter who it is) in any sport, you have to finish the job. I guess since my Texans have kept on losing, I just want a feel-good win. And I haven't forgotten what conference my Texans play in. I don't know... I just think it's possible to win ANY game. People kept talking about last year's game at home against the Colts. And to be honest, I'm more upset about last year's match at home against the Colts than this year's game. We SHOULD have won the game last year, but Sage Rosenfels tried to become too much of a hero, and we ended failing.

And do you think I'm hard on the Texans? You should see the Houston Texans' official Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Houston-Texans/23214296896 ). My own Texans fans want to see Bill Cowher become head coach for my Texans (which I'm perfectly fine with) and with Gary Kubiak run out of town a la Tubby Smith (I know FoolKiller would hate me using this analogy).

Patriots at Saints tonight! Does New Orleans stay undefeated, or can the Patriots knock them off the catbird seat? And as for right now, my Super Bowl in Miami is Indianapolis vs. New Orleans. At least... right now.

I believe Steve Kragthorpe is a more accurate and relevant example. I mean, Tubby Smith at least had winning seasons.

Go Saints, for real.
I figured at this point you would be ready to stop all undefeated teams, at all costs.

Although cheering for the Patriots is a mighty big cost.

It was definately up there. Congrats.

Be seeing yins in Pittsburgh :grumpy:

Not until we lose another game. Pittsburgh lost so we're still able to get the wildcard spot by some miracle.

My mrs is a Saints fan, I a Colts fan for the last 10 years or so. If the Superbowl pans out the way it looks... I see an interesting night ahead of me. :boggled:

If the Super Bowl pans out the way it looks this will likely be one of the most anticipated Super Bowls in recent memory. I am a fan of neither team, but I will be watching it with pure excitement.

The only game I might anticipate more is the SEC championship game this weekend, but that's because that really is the NCAA championship game.

Honestly, I think the Saints would kick the crap out of the Colts right now. They could probably kick the crap out of anyone, though, so it's not that bad.

AFC East is now the Mystery Meat of the NFL. There's no good teams at all. (Not to discredit the fact the Bills showed the Fins how to play football as a decisive game, and not a video game with a broken-handed amnesiac on the controller).

Can you imagine the Dolphins sliding into the playoffs at 7-9?

No, but the possibility is there so I won't yet close the door and hope for draft position. There are rumors that Eric Berry wants to be a Dolphin. Too bad he's a top 3 pick.
