Camp is going to start up for all 32 teams. Next thing you know it, it will be time for the Preseason games (August 14th for a lot of teams). We should then see the season start proper on September 12th.

I couldn't be any more excited for my Texans this upcoming season. I certainly hope we can really play to our best potential yet. TWO Monday Night games for my Texans as well as a trip to Philadelphia for another night game. Our first game will likely be a 0-1 start for my Texans- we're hosting Indy on September 12.

We're all undefeated again!

Feels like deja vu with this whole Brett Favre thing, only it seems much more likely he will return. I think there are a lot of questions surrounding the Vikings, mainly if Peterson can hold onto the ball.

Our first real game is a rematch of the NFC title game, hopefully we will wipe the floor with them.

How do you all see the Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) deal going in Cincinnati?

Stop me if you heard this one....

Q: Why are the Bengals such a poor team?

A: Cause they have two mouths to feed.

Jerome

OK, so the Bengals got TO and CO. What about Antonio Bryant? Doesn't anyone remember that they chose him over TO in the first place?

Noooooooo! AJ Edds is done for the season with an ACL tear. He was a really promising coverage LB rookie and would've had a lot of playing time in 3rd down nickel packages. Man I feel so bad for him.

In case you wanted some more deja vu involving Favre he reportedly told the Vikes he won't be coming back. Of course if you don't remember he said the same thing around this time last year(and we know how that turned out). However I do think it's serious this time as his ankle supposedly isn't healing as fast as it's supposed to.

If he does indeed retire we are screwed as Jackson is nowhere near as good as Favre. I really think we should have gotten a QB incase this did happen, now all we can do is hope that some of Favre rubbed off on T-Jack.

Favre is just retiring in order to get out of a contract. Since Bradford got 50mil, Brett wanna get paid, son.

Travis Ivey is my new favorite rookie. Dez Bryant should take notes.

Dude, Cam Wake got HUGE!

He's going to have a beast of a season. It'll be a breakout year, I think. He is so athletic, it's scary. He's already beat Jake Long in practice like 6 or 7 times, and Jake is a 2-time pro-bowler and one of the best LTs in the NFL.

Next week starts up the NFL Preseason games. I've already said this, but I'm excited for my Texans and the prospect of maybe our best season since starting up in 2002. The thing I was most disappointed about last year was some of the lack of execution, especially with the botched field goals from Kris "Money" Brown. I hear the position will be between Brown and Neil Rackers for the Field Goal kicker slot.

I really think we could contend for the AFC Wild Card. Or if Indy and Tennessee have horrific seasons, we may have a chance at the AFC South (unless Jacksonville has something to say about the AFC South). I've never stopped believing in the Texans. They really have a chance to really emerge and break out. Let me put it like this... I've never stopped believing in the Texans much like I've never stopped believing Danica Patrick could win a race or consistently contend. Question is, will that breakout season be THIS season for the Texans? We'll find that out starting in September.

That's rediculous. Way better ways to show your humble then that stupidity. No wonder Bryant didn't do it.

Haynesworth watch Day XX. Actually I dont care, the guy has a bum knee and he cant do the test. Media needs to get off his back.

And Favre, I'm tired of this dramatics. Kurt Warner made up his mind as soon as the season ended. Favre just likes to have people chase his SUV. As Colin Cowherd said do you think Favre would chase you in your SUV? Nowhere near as humble as Warner.

Bradford will impress, just watch...

Why is it stupidity? He was having a laugh about it and wasn't being a pissy prima donna like Dez Bryant. Plus, Travis Ivey is huge, so he's the one who went and picked all of that up. The players traditionally leave their pads on the field and it's up to the rookies to bring them in no matter how they do it or how many trips it takes.

"My shoulders are tired. [The veterans] don't always make me do it every day, but we took our pads off, so I'm pretty sure they don't want to pick them up again.
"I don't blame them. I wouldn't pick mine back up either. That's just what you're supposed to do. They just left it out there so somebody's supposed to pick them up."

He looks like a terran.

I heard that WR Andre Johnson will stay with the Texans through 2016 thanks to a new contract. I just hope he can continually keep playing like the definitive WR he is.

Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with you guys. Now that you signed Andre, just have Schaub chuck the ball up in the air every single play. Andre will come down with it.

Some say he has stretch arms.....the camera just can't get the shot while he's doing it.

Well if it was his choice to take them all at once like that for a laugh then I have no problem

Anyone want to take a shot at picking division winners?

Heres mine

AFC North - Ravens. The addition of Boldin and the emergence of Ray Rice and the absence of Roethlisberger for as many as 6 games give this division to the Ravens. My pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

AFC South - Titans. I predict a Super Bowl slumping Colts team to lose its hold on the division to a rejuvenated Vince Young and the third best running back in the league Chris Johnson.

AFC East - Jets. New England is rebuilding slowly while the Jets have loaded themselves with Talent. I dont think Sanchez will ever be an elite QB, but he should get the job done with all the talent around him. The question is Tomlinson at RB, can he fill the hole left when the team ran Jones out of town.

AFC West - Chargers. Really no competition here.

NFC North - Vikings if Favre plays, Packers if he doesn't.

NFC East - Cowboys. They're loaded for a superbowl run. Anything less then that should result in Wade Phillips being fired.

NFC South - Saints, again.

NFC West - Easily the worst division in football, again. The 49ers should win this watered down division easily, but Sam Bradford will become a franchise QB quickly and with the help of Steven Jackson , the second best running back in the league they will dominate the division in the near future

Did you forget about the Dolphins? We have Ricky, Ronnie, Polite, Henne, and Marshall, and the best O-line in the division. Bess is brilliant underneath and Hartline seems to be coming into his own. They'll flourish with Marshall drawing all the coverage. They fixed the linebacker problem with Dansby, and Cam Wake and Koa Misi are both beasts. Our D-line is seriously improved with Jared Odrick, and they moved Starks to NT and so far he's doing very well since he's strong enough to hold the point and quick enough to get killer pass rush and penetration. Will Allen is back so we have veteran presence and two killer sophmores at CB. The only weak link with the dolphins is probably still going to be free safety. I think Chris Clemons can do a well enough job, but I guess we'll have to see. Rookie Reshad Jones is also there and could very well start if Clemons screws up the job.

Don't count out the Dolphins. They're going to be this season's dark horse team. The only people that see what's happening right now are the loyal fans, and we're not just being homers. I almost forgot to mention that our biggest acquisition this offseason was Mike Nolan. The guy is a defensive genius and can make lemonade out of frog piss.

My picks:

AFC
North:Ravens, even though their draft has been a disaster with Mt. Bloaty and Sergio "That first step's a doozy" Kindle.
South:Colts. Jerry Hughes is going to be good and Peyton Manning = wins.
East:Dolphins. Revis Island will get hit by Hurricane Brandon. 2nd toughest division in the NFL.
West:Chargers. It'll be fun to watch Eric Berry and the Chiefs though. Too bad they have the smallest television coverage area in the entire NFL.

NFC
North:Packers. Easily.
South:Saints. Who else? The Falcons?
East:Cowboys. Possibly Eagles if they're straight at QB. I think this will be the toughest division in the NFL.
West:I would pick the Cards if they had a QB. Niners here.

I'd like to congratulate the recent Hall of Fame inductees. I'm especially proud for Jerry Rice and E. Smith.

HoF game is about to start, not sure how much I will get to watch though as there is severe weather and the game is on NBC and my NBC station always over does the "break in weather report".:ouch:

(singing) Are you ready for some [preseason] football? Here is what's on the card tonight:

* New Orleans Saints (Who Dat?) at New England Patriots
* Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens
* Oakland Raiders at Dallas Cowboys

This will be our first look at the teams and the new players as football kicks off proper. My Texans will open up the Preseason at the Arizona Cardinals this Saturday night. Welcome to the new season, boys and girls!

I'm pretty impressed with Bulger. His deep accuracy sucks but he still has a great release (although a little low) and great short accuracy.

Bulger has always been a great QB, it was just hard to tell when he had roughly .5 seconds to throw the ball.

I feel bad for Bradford. What have the Rams done to shore up that O-line?

Here are my preseason picks:

AFC
North:Bengals because Pittsburgh will miss Big Ben and Ed Reed will miss at least a month or more with his hip injury
South:Colts. once agian
East: As much as I hate to do it Pats
West: I going out on a limb here when I say da Raiders if the Chargers don't get McNeil signed.

NFC
North:Packers
South: I'll go with the Falcons if only because there have never been back to back division winners in the South
East:Cowboys
West:Niners

I hate that infield dirt, lol. Dolphins preseason games are always dirty, nasty games.
