The Texans lost 19-16 to the Arizona Cardinals, but the Texans' first and second units still impressed me. They were hitting HARD! Texans seem to have some brand new swagger. It was sad to see Ben Tate get injured. I didn't even know we picked up John David Booty. I'm sorry... would you feel sorry if your team had a guy with a last name like booty and if the team he's on is sorry? We're not sorry, but it's just an uneasy feeling sometimes.

Up next for my Texans- at the defending champs. Texans at Saints next Saturday!

Redskins 10-6 second in nfc east to cowboys
beat Saints in Wild card
Beat cowboys in divsional
lose to Vikings in conference

From what I've seen in highlights, Tim Tebow looked pretty good. What players have impressed you so far? Unimpressed you so far?

Tebow sucks. He's Byron Leftwich 2. He won't last long if he keeps taking hits like his final rushing TD. His throwing motion is just awful.

well my Jets looking good so far. I hope they get Revis back soon.

I dont see how people can call his debut the most impressive of all the rookie QBs. He was playing against scrubs who probably won't make the team in the 4th quarter. His release is WAY too slow and he doesn't have any pocket awareness which has led to many fumbles. He's a long term project and had no business going in the first round.

That hit he took looked wicked, sort of a mini welcome to the NFL. If that were Roy Williams or any other hard hitting safety in the league he would have gotten hurt. I like Tebow, I would love to have someone who looks like him lead my team off the bus but for now hes a project QB.

I saw Sam Bradford's debut. Had a few passes batted down at the line of scrimmage and was sacked alot. Most of the sacks go on the offensive line. If this is how the offensive line is going to play they need to let the other QBs start this season until they settle down.

Anybody sees this? The NFL needs to follow college football and blow the play dead when a player loses his helmet. Partly Eli's fault, he didn't look to have his helmet strapped on tightly and he changed the play without telling the runningback who ran into him

After watching the Jets game last night I think that Revis comes out looking good. The Jets second string DBs looked awful last night. Hopefully they sign him.

I"m sad that Ben Tate's 2010 season ended so quickly. For a team that desperately needs a solid running game, Ben Tate's loss was just depressing. You hate to be a rookie in any sport and suffer a season-ending injury so early.

There will still be a lot of time to evaluate the new talent as well as gauge the progress of the non-rookies.

JT in a Jets uniform makes me sick. Lol.

I completely agree with you, Earth. Has anyone else noticed how many players' helmets are popping off? Are they wearing those new revo speed helmets? Whatever helmets they have on, something is wrong with their chinstraps. They're not designed right, because even if they are loose they should prevent the helmet from flying off like that.

Thanks noob. Blame the media for this whole Favre crisis. Did he ever actually announce he was retiring before this season? I take it he said something like that if he didn't medically check out then He'd be gone. /shrug.

I'm not surprised he came back. When I heard he "retired" before I told my brother I wouldn't believe until the season ended. Favre could make things easier by saying he wants to skip training camp because he doesn't think he can handle it anymore. No wondering about when he would be coming back because it be when the season starts.

See? What an idiot. Those are hits you take in the playoffs, not an exhibition.

Boy... Texans failed tremendously at New Orleans earlier tonight, falling 38-20 and NEVER leading. Missed tackles and poor execution just spelled doom for Houston. Our remaining Preseason matches will be back at Reliant Stadium. We got the Cowboys (or as haters call them, the Cowgirls) next Saturday, then it's Tampa Bay on September 2nd [on the start of college football 2010].

How did YOUR favorite team(s) do?

How did YOUR favorite team(s) do?

The Rams?

Just proved they're by far the worst team in the NFL again. 2 preseason games, 2 games under 175 yards of offense. Stephen Jackson will power them to a win or two but until they get some weapons at receiver and their top 10 draft picks like Chris Long and Jason Smith start performing they're going to be a very bad team

Poor Sam Bradford. When he was in the game the running backs only had 7 yards on 8 carries. How is an offense suppose to function like that when the running game is averaging .8 yards a carry? That means your facing 3rd and 8 all the time. That wont work.

I dont know where to start with this team. They're so bad in so many ways. It will probably take 2 or 3 more years before they can even make 500 for the season

The rams should bench Bradford for the season. Honestly, don't kill him. You guys have garbage WR and OL talent.

The Bills should be OK next season though. They'll probably draft Jake Locker or some O-line.

I've never got the hype about Jake Locker.

His career TD/INT in college is 36 - 26. Thats 2 pics for every 3 touchdown passes. Thats not good I dont care what program your playing for. And his win % as a starting QB is not that impressive, I think its somewhere around .500

And hes a career 54% passer which is extremely sub par. I watched him play a couple of games. Big arm, but not that much accuracy or pocket awareness. Thats why he runs so much. Unless your Mike Vick you can't run in the NFL. Once that facet of his game is shut down on the pro level he will really struggle

Add on top of that his possible MLB career that he could dart for if the NFL goes wrong...

Yeah hes probably a first round pick but top 5? I dotn think so because I dont think he can play right away. He'll need 2-3 years of development playing behind a veteran QB before hes ready to play in the NFL. That makes you a mid to late first round pick IMO.

Now how about Sam Bradford. He finally broke out of this little slump and tore it up. Rams lost Avery for hte season. Thats really going to make his rookie season tough, having your best receiver on a bad receiving corps go down for the year.

Texans win their first Preseason game, beating the Cowboys 23-7. The Texans made much fewer mistakes than when my Texans got their butts handed to in New Orleans last Saturday. Maybe the Texans pictured the Cowboys as the Saints and wanted Preseason revenge. Best of all, Gus Johnson was calling the game (because it was on CBS), and he's ALWAYS in mid-season form!

What can I say... the Texans looked MUCH better than last week's embarrassment in New Orleans. I just hope we can take down the Cowboys in Week 3 of the regular season. I do wish they had better end zone execution, though. Arian Foster looked great running the ball. Zac Diles was on point along with Bernard Pollard. It seemed like ever since we picked up Bernard Pollard, we got just that extra bit of swagger. I don't have my Texans winning the AFC South. It's just not going to happen unless Tennessee and Indy just stink it up in the AFC South (which doesn't happen often). We're probably going to have to contend with AFC teams like the Jets, the Chargers, and... a team called the Miami Dolphins.

How have your team(s) fared in this weekend of Preseason games (unless your team hasn't yet played this weekend)?

My Seahawks did so-so. You can say we did well because after the starters came out, we were ahead of the Vikes. After that however... the backups gave up a come from behind win. So it looks like our #1 defense is capable, but our backups need some work.

Overall I like the way our team is looking under Pete Carrol.

Suh 15 yard facemak then he tries to twist Delhomme's head off. I understand he wants to be a bad boy in the NFL but dirty moves like this can get you hurt later on by retaliation

Notice in the following video of a game I watched 2 years ago, Oklahoma vs Washington, Jake Locker vs Sam Bradford, Oklahoma's DT Demarcus Granger does a cheap shove on play blown dead. The next play 3 Washington offensive linemen dont even try to block for Locker. Instead they all go for Granger and with cheap shot after cheap shot in a pile they literally end his career. Because they did not block for Locker he got popped and they lost their QB for a few weeks. This could happen to Suh if he pulls stuff like that again

Browns are asking the NFL to investigate the Suh/Delhomme incident. There may be a fine.

Troy polamalu gets his hair insured for $1,000,000

Hopefully playing with this wont get him hurt

I think scientists should study how exactly he fist most of it under his helmet.

And Suh should get a fine, perhaps even a suspension.
