My Texans have failed again. It seems like whenever we take on an overrated team (Dallas and San Diego), we fail to take them down. Some poor tackling and laughable pass defense added to our failed effort. We had an amazing start and... failed to take down the Chargers. We end up losing on a pass that m:censored:f:censored:er should have caught, but ends up getting picked off. Arian Foster earlier had a catch that looked like a touchdown until it was overturned. Up next, AT the Jaguars in AFC South play. Will the Texans FINALLY step up and win one for a change, or are they going to continually fail like another Houston team- my Rockets?
Starting 2-0 with a tough schedule... then going 2-4 since is not inexcusable, but certainly not acceptable. I don't care about the AFC South- we're NOT winning it. The Texans still need to get their heads in the game and play like they are not afraid of having the toughest schedule (tied with Titans). Arian Foster and the rest of the offense are doing most of the work, but the defense needs to improve by leaps and bounds. Maybe I'm just so upset that many of my Houston teams have failed this weekend (I don't care about Rice) and just want SOMETHING to celebrate for this weekend. This is why I don't believe in expectations. I don't expect anything from anyone, nor do I expect people anything out of me. You may have aspirations of the expectations of a team to make it big, but there's always the unknown. Expectations say: "____ or bust." Reality says: "anything can happen." So I was not expecting playoffs. Or at best, maybe the AFC Wild Card. But if you keep playing like s:censored:, then you're going to have a s:censored: season. Texans need to get it together, or they're going to hear about it from Always Hate Houston (ESPN) and the many Texans fans.
Second half for the Texans: at Jacksonville (next Sunday), at Jets (11/14/2010), Titans (11/21/2010), at Eagles (12/2/2010), Ravens (12/13/2010, MNF), at Titans (12/19/2010), at Broncos (12/26/2010), and Jacksonville (1/2/2011).
GTPlanet... hope your teams aren't failing. Rant over. Farewell.
