Ok now, can ESPN please stop obsessing over Vick and focus on Week 11? Its just like what happened earlier this season when the Cowboys and Vikings failed at winning and that's all ESPN can focus on.

Texans at at the Jets this Sunday. Unless we get lucky, 4-6 is likely. Of course... the Saints easily blew out the Browns in New Orleans, did they? Either the Texans step up or we get really lucky and have a chance to beat the Jets at their [shared with the Giants] house.

Dude, the Texans SUCK. YOU GUYS SUCK. Jason Allen SUCKS. That guy is a BUM. John, if you were wondering why we got rid of that guy, it's because he is a TOTAL BUST and a perennial disappointment. HE SUCKS.

A valiant comeback from 23-7 goes for absolutely nothing. Jets win 30-27. It's a damned shame. I knew the Texans didn't stand a chance, but the Jets were just that much better. I'm not sugar-coating anything. The pass defense failed at the worst moment- when you lead by four late in the game! I swear sometimes it seems like God hates the Texans or something because we just can't seem to win when it matters most. Welcome to our sad world.

I'm still a Texans fan, but some shuffling of some kind needs to be done so that we stand a better chance at winning and keep winning. Just a bulls:censored: season once most of our players were dropping like flies. I'll go sit in the corner and cry now. When will we win again!?

Brace yourself for more disappointment as long as Jason Allen is on the field in a Texans uniform.

My Cowboys win again! Garrett is 2-0. The guys are fighting for 4 qtrs. McAnn runs the length of the field again! I'll be quiet now, sorry John.

Rex Ryan is a douche! He's on the podium apologizing to jets fans for making them sweat again. What a classy guy. Like you had anything to do with the play on the field. Tough loss Texans fans, back to back weeks. Been there. (still there; we're 3-7 :ouch:)

Back to back wins for Dallas, Jason is doing good at head coach. I have no comment about the Texans. It's just depressing to lose so late in the game so often. At least we're back home again....against the Titans. I'm watching this shootout between Brady and Manning right now. It's one of the few times I'm cheering for the Patriots.

And the Colts aren't looking much better. DAMN! Almost but not quite... :( I sometimes feel bad for Peyton Manning. You have to teach and practice with a whole new lineup every week. To expect them to get it right against this team and him not to throw any ints is insane. He made a mistake, that's all, we move on to next week against San Diego. Oh well everyone else but Jacksonsville lost in the AFC South and they lead the division because they beat Colts earlier in the year, tied at 6-4. --- Randy

Is a team's record reflective of their performance on the field? At 4-6, we're obviously not any prolific contender. And as the for Rex Ryan deal making that comment, the Jets are a swagger team. We're not. Even the Oilers were a swagger team before they felt like they couldn't win a Super Bowl in Houston and moved on to Nashville.

I WILL say that the coaches were to blame more than the Secondary on this loss. A lot of people are thinking that someone on the coaching end (not Kubiak) will or could be fired as early as tomorrow. One Texans fan even said that we should stop buying Texans games and stop going to games just to show how pathetic the team is. That just isn't going to happen next weekend because the Titans are coming to town. There's no way in Hell this game will not sell out unless the city of Houston just stops believing in the Texans even as the playoff hopes are basically over.

Do we stink or are we just having bad luck? I honestly believed we could have finished 12-4 last season. Part of our reason was the shanked field goals by Kris Brown (among other things). We've lost some games in dramatic fashion. When people say "creative ways to lose," I usually think of teams INTENTIONALLY doing things to throw away games. Sage Rosenfels for the Texans was an example of creatively losing when we were up by 17 a few years ago hosting the Colts. You don't creatively lose when you get beat on a pass play you shouldn't allow, or when breaking up a Hail Mary ends up being a golden opportunity to get heartbroken late. So I do wish people would shut the f:censored: up about creatively losing games in this fashion.

Then again... we do have this brutal schedule and not much in the way of doing enough to win games. I'm pretty unsure if we can even finish at the .500 mark. Until the Texans show vast improvement, it may be the end for Gary Kubiak (and perhaps some players on the defensive side). And who is actually going to step up as head coach if we do sack Kubiak? What players could be signed up to replace certain positions for the Texans next season? There's still a 2010 season to go, but it's almost over pending some Friday Night Lights miracles.

Well, no surprise.......Brad Childress has been fired as head coach of the Vikings this morning. Leslie Frazier is now Interim Head Coach. Seems the Packers are 2-0 in getting head coaches fired.

Brady did a pretty good job against the colts. And Vick will lead the Eagles to the playoffs. Maybe the superbowl, but the playoffs for sure

The losing streak is over. We BLANKED the Tennessee Titans at home in an ugly match. There was even a little MMA brawl when Andre Johnson (who has some MMA training) took on Cortland Finnegan. Both players got ejected from the game, and I think both (especially Andre Johnson) may get fined. Same could go for Bernard Pollard for his helmet-to-helmet contact. Sorry to use a college expression, but the "big man on campus" for my Texans was Glover Quin and his three picks. Had no interceptions for the past 25 games, but picked up three in this one.

Now... we face potential Judgment Night playing at Philadelphia this Thursday night. Michael Vick is on a roll, and I don't think we're good enough to even keep this game within a touchdown. Maybe we get lucky and win, but the Texans will need to show the same effort (minus some of the sloppy play) to beat (or at least contend) with the Eagles. It doesn't get any easier after the Eagles. Among the remaining games are Ravens on Monday Night, at Tennessee, at Denver, and at

We won... but it was ugly! It may not be a popular opinion, but this is GOOD for the Texans because it shows we're not afraid to get physical to win. We have to install the kind of swagger that the Oilers had. It may be a different "Love Ya Blue" here in H-Town, but at least the Texans are not afraid to get tough.

So uh... Andre Johnson vs. Cortland Finnegan on Pay-Per-View in an MMA cage. Who would win? :) By the way, the Falcons took down the Packers in Atlanta, so congrats to those birds in the ATL!

[UPDATE] By the way, we won 20-0 over the Titans.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving NFL football, players! :D

After that Dallas / Saints game, my stomach still hurts. I haven't been able to post, due to the heartache (damn Roy Williams, Damn him, damn him.)

^^Andre connected on at least 2 haymakers! It was awesome! Too bad he'll probably get a game suspension for it (plus $$$). The NFL Channel was cracking up showing the highlights.

From what I've been hearing and reading, Andre Johnson is NOT suspended. Either not yet or not suspended at all. It's the hottest topic here in Houston. Even when Andre Johnson shown up at the Thunder at Rockets game last night, the crowd was cheering for Andre Johnson when he was on the big screen. I don't think I've heard ANYTHING about Finnegan and any punishment he received. Some fans on the Titans' Facebook fan page basically talked about how Cortland goaded Andre Johnson to throw some blows (and did he ever!). Some people in Houston, however, say that the incident is about inciting violence or encouraging violence. Whatever the case, my Texans need to worry more about stopping Vick and his Eagles Thursday night than continually buzz about the fight.

49ers at Cardinals tonight! Who wins this one?

Cortland punched Andre in the throat first. Wtf. That guy reminds me of Peeves from Harry Potter or something.

Tennessee is just a dirty no-good team. Remember the Haynesworth head-stomping? Haynesworth is lucky he's a monster because if he was a little git like Finnegan he would've gotten whooped similarly.

People do still talk about the Johnson/Finnegan fight. Now the NFL was somehow talking about protecting the Thursday Night Football game between the Texans at Eagles. That's why Andre Johnson got what many would consider a slap on the wrist. Then too, I always think there's this "Always Hate Houston" or discrimination against the Texans. This probably would have been much worse if this fight involved two other teams besides the Texans. The fight is surely a suspension-worthy deal.

Protecting a matchup rather than suspend a player- fair or foul?

Texans at Eagles tonight... all I can hope for the Texans is to keep it close. We might have beaten the Redskins in a classic, but I don't think that same magic is in us to win at the Eagles. Michael Vick is just too damn good. So here's my prediction:

Texans lose, Michael Vick has a career day, I won't hear the end of Vick's praise on ESPN anytime soon (and I love Michael Vick), and more people will complain that Andre Johnson should have been suspended (and should be). We're fighting for our super-slim playoff lives and won't get much help battling against an NFC team like the Eagles.

Maybe we get fortunate and win, but we are going to have to play hard and execute as best as we did against the Titans back on Sunday. I can only hope we get the win and go back to .500 after this game...

Also, I know Andre Johnson landed blows, but how come I don't hear crap about Cortland Finnegan getting into any trouble? It's always the "Always Hate Houston" protocol.

[UPDATE] If you thought the Johnson vs. Finnegan fight was intense to look at, you should HEAR what happened. Peep this, people. Start watching around the 3:19 mark...

As predicted, we failed. We did lead at one point, but the magic to make a comeback was completely dashed... which also describes any playoff hopes we have. Either we WIN or everybody else (especially in the AFC South) starts losing, we're done. Screw it.

Get to hating on my NFL team. Not our first rodeo...

Henne sucks. Pleeeeeeease let us get some Luck this offseason.

:grumpy: Jeez Peyton... throw 4 ints... AGAIN? :( What the hell man.. come on get it together. :( :grumpy:👎

Well, my Chiefs are 8-4. :)

My dad and I made our pilgrimage to Arrowhead, and the game was a penalty-ridden defensive meatgrinder. Chiefs beat the Broncos.. barely.. 10-6.

Chiefs with great defense? My reality is being questioned.

Cowboys got lucky as hell tonight. Defense still sucks, but they're lucky Manning was on a bad streak of interceptions and their defense wasn't much better than ours.

Is anyone watching this Steeler's game? Ravens get to almost kill our defenseless receivers, twice, and don't even get a call? Harrison would've gotten fined another $50k for either of those hits.

What a ****ing joke these new rules are. I'm all for protecting players, but come on, make it fair at least.

Seahawks running game finally woke up... though I don't know if you can count beating up a last place team a proper demonstration.

I'm glad the Panthers lost. I've been rooting all year for the Panthers to continue the losing streak and get that #1 draft pick.

They're really, really terrible. Really. I don't even watch anymore, it's painful.
