:grumpy: Jeez Peyton... throw 4 ints... AGAIN? :( What the hell man.. come on get it together. :( :grumpy:👎

Trade you for Chad Henne. ;)

Well, my Chiefs are 8-4. :)

My dad and I made our pilgrimage to Arrowhead, and the game was a penalty-ridden defensive meatgrinder. Chiefs beat the Broncos.. barely.. 10-6.

Chiefs with great defense? My reality is being questioned.

Hey, you guys have Tamba Hali, Eric Berry, and Romeo Crennel. That's a winning combo.

Leslie Frazier is definitely making his case to be the head coach next year. Hopefully they do as he is a great coach, would hate so see him go somewhere else like Mike Tomlin did.

Is anyone watching this Steeler's game? Ravens get to almost kill our defenseless receivers, twice, and don't even get a call? Harrison would've gotten fined another $50k for either of those hits.

What a ****ing joke these new rules are. I'm all for protecting players, but come on, make it fair at least.

Agreed. At least Harrison will speak up about it. He said just as much during the post game interview when asked about the hit on Heath Miller.

Either way, huge win for the Steelers.

Cowboys get over 200yds rushing, wait wat? Nice win for them, turning over Peyton 4 times. Pushes our record to 0.250 for the season, yay! 👎 . Glad to see that they're actually playing hard for 60 (+) mins for a change, although every game has some heartbreak in it somewhere. Dez is gone for the season with a broken ankle.:grumpy: Next up Philly and the December to remember (or forget). Dallas' only incentive now is to be the spoiler to every team they face. The Colts loss was WAY worse for them than the D' victory. At least every game since Wade is gone has been an adventure. Must see TV for a change.

Don Meredith died Sunday at the age of 72. Original quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys from 1959-1968 and the first pro-player to move into the broadcasting booth as one of the original Monday Night Football 'color' analysts from the team of Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson (later replaced by Frank Gifford). He and Cosell had many a disagreements in the booth, but always made the MNF affair enjoyable. Phases such as (my previous slogan): "If wishes and buts were candy and nuts.....we'd all have a merry christmas" to the infamous "Turn out the lights...the party's over". Dandy Don, RIP.

Trade you for Chad Henne. ;)

No, I will keep Mr. Manning for now. ;) I will give him the 👍 up for saying that was his fault. :) That would be very hard for most players to do. And a RIP to Don Meredith, wished I got to see him as a analyst for Monday Night Football. --- Randy

Definitely RIP Dandy Don. I was a little too young to really remember him, but I've seen some stuff on repeats and such.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Don Meredith and all whom have known and loved him.

Jets at Patriots TONIGHT! Big time AFC East matchup. Who takes tonight's big game in this New York (New Jersey, actually)-Boston match?

Make that 3 coaches canned so far...Josh McDaniels has been fired from the 'Mile-High' city. After winning his first 6 games as the Denver Broncos head coach last season, he then went 5-17 over the remaining 22 games. No word yet on the interim successor, but rumors are the secondarys coach will be given the spot as he has ties to the owner. How many more will be shown the door this season? Miami? SF? Cincy? Carolina?

edit: Would love for the Pats to stomp NYJ.

edit2: Officially Running Backs coach Eric Studesville has been named as Interim Head Coach to complete the season.

That was horrible last night. I can't believe they laid an egg like that. Why wasn't Revis assigned to cover Welker. He will beat every third DB and LB that tries to cover him every time. I know Leonhard was out but that was inexcusable. Oh well there's always next week.

Yeah, that was ugly. The Jets could have shown up MUCH better at the Patriots. Hell, even my Texans could have put up a bigger fight than what the J! E! T! S! failed to do last night. I'm like... wow. Patriots good or Jets bad? The Jets are a great team (and I'm not just saying that because of my Texans losing late in the Texans at Jets game earlier this season).

Another week over. I was listening to the radio and missed a news bit involving the Redskins and Albert Haynesworth. Anyone care to comment on this deal?

Video. Pretty much he just disagrees with everything those in charge are doing and refuses to do what they want, so he is currently suspended the next 4 games without pay. And from what they say at the end, he might be going to somewhere like Tennessee.

So in other words... insubordination. If you are THIS upset about schemes and such, then you shouldn't even be playing football anymore. This was just cheap on the part of Albert Haynesworth. Why are you even involved with a certain team and getting money if you aren't going to get involved into team activities and schemes and such? Just terrible by him. If he keeps this up, I hope he never plays football again.

So in other words... insubordination.

That's the word I was looking for!:ouch: I couldn't come up with it at the time. But yeah, I agree with you 100%. His job is to play. Sure he can speak up on a 1-on-1 basis if he has some suggestions to further team progress, but that's just... stupid.

Officially he got suspended for 'conduct detremental to the team'. Essentially, he refused to play the (his) proper position in the 3-4 defense. He would have multiple assignments in a blocking/defensive scheme depending on what defensive play was called. Sometimes he would be charged to attack the offensive line directly or sometimes he would need to chip the guard and drive on the center (basically blocking 2 guys for a bit). He refused to do that! In practice and gameday! What that could do is allow one of the offensive linemen a clear shot on the linebacker and ultimately was going to get somebody seriously hurt. I'm no Shanahan apologist, but he gave Haynesworth(less) several chances to commit to this scheme (3-4 defense).

Redskins own defensive players knew the dangers of fat Albert's play and finally gave the coach no choice. When London Fletcher got his bell rung game before last because AH wiffed on a play, it was the last straw.

Now the NFL Players Union is 'gathering evidence' to possibly appeal the suspension. I believe AH has embarrassed the union so much that they will not carry the appeal forward. Basically, because of AH's act this season, no NFL team will consider paying that kind of money to a defensive player for a long time. It has truely affected the potential salaries of star defensive players for awhile.

Haynesworth belongs in Tennessee with the rest of the dirty players.

In other news... did you hear that those in defense of the Jets' cheerleader are pushing the league to jump on the issue and quickly get it resolved? It's getting close the the end of the year, and after Brett retires the league no longer has jurisdiction over him. Thus any charges from the incident are nullified. (At least that's what I read)

No quarterback's failure takes place in a vacuum, and Manning's interception issues seem to have many layers. To help peel some of them back, I called both ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Ron Jaworski and longtime NFL Films guru Greg Cosell, who serves as creator and executive producer of ESPN's NFL Matchup, the smartest and most respected football analysis show on television for many years now. Jaworski is one of the show's co-hosts. Cosell and Jaworski watch as much game tape as anyone in the league, and they both see Manning simply trying to do too much, out of necessity.

"They're throwing the ball way too much,'' Cosell said. "As great as Manning is, and I happen to think he's the greatest quarterback ever, it's too hard when you're throwing as much as they're throwing. When you're a one-dimensional team, it's just too hard to succeed. You're too easy to defend. And you can't ask an offensive line to block 50-60 times a game against defenders who are faster. They're being forced to throw way too many times in every game, and he's overcompensating to try to make up for what they lack.''

Through 12 games, Manning is on pace to throw 712 passes this season, which would be 21 more than Drew Bledsoe's NFL record 691 attempts for New England in 1994. His 44.5 attempts per game (not counting his 13 sacks as pass attempts) are significantly higher than the totals for his most recent three seasons (35.7 in 2009, 34.7 in 2008 and 32.2 in 2007).
In Manning's past three games, losses to New England, San Diego and Dallas, he has attempted 52, 48 and 48 passes (49.3 per game), respectively, completing a sizzling 71 percent of them (109 of 148) for 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns. But it's those 11 interceptions, with four being returned for touchdowns, that have been so uncharacteristic of Manning.

After starting the season with strong, MVP-worthy statistics through the season's first half, Manning already has 15 interceptions, just one fewer than his entire 2009 season total, and his second highest season total since 2002. His frequency of interceptions hasn't changed much per attempt (one every 35.6 passes this year, compared to 35.7 last year), but he's throwing more passes this season and thus more picks. Since starting the season with nine touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first three games, Manning has 15 touchdowns and 15 interceptions over the past nine.

So the NFL has rescheduled the Giants / Vikings game to Monday night for fear of excessive snow on the roof of the Metrodome. The game will be on Fox Sports and shown in the Minn and NY markets (unless you have the Sunday Ticket, then it should be available also). The Giants are snowed in, stuck in Kansas City right now. They may make it to Minn tomorrow. Must be some kind of storm. (or the NFL wanted to give Farve another day to heal :sly: )

edit: Looks like this game may not get played until Wedns. (? )

They have decided to play the game in Detroit (Ford Field) on Monday night. Weird. Hope everyone is safe.

edit: Finally!!!! Detroit gets a Monday Night Game!!! :sly:

So it looks like that Giants vs. Vikings match just trying to steal the spotlight over Ravens at Texans (no snow expected at all down here). We're probably going to lose to the Ravens anyway and have our slim playoff hopes really fade away, but two Monday Night games in two different parts of the U.S. should be interesting. I do send my best thoughts and prayers to all affected by the heavy snow expected up north.

Enjoy Sunday's games, though!
