YAY! :D The Colts won.. but AHHHHHH! 🤬 Poor Austin Collie. :(

Did you guys see Dan Connolly's return for the Pats? That had me dying. "The loaf-of-bread carry!" LOL! I was rolling after Chris Collinsworth said that.

You guys are probably all tired of a guy like me saying this, but I will do it anyways.

The Seahawks got screwed by the officials multiple times in yesterday's game. I'm not going to go as far to say that they cost us the win, because clearly we did that ourselves. But for instance, on the opening drive Lynch made a great run and ended up in the endzone, only to be called down at the one. There was no way his knees could have hit because he landed back first. On the Falcon's first drive we stopped them twice on forth down, yet for whatever reason the referees still gave them the first each time. We even challenged the first one and lost. It was clear by the replay Matt Ryan never even got back the the original line before getting stuffed, but they gave him the extra half a yard. Pretty much same thing for the second, he was obviously short, but the refs gave a pathetic spot.

And then that fumble in the endzone by Hasselbeck... he practically got punched in the face and they never called a face mask penalty.

Normally if a player is called for a penalty the network will show a replay so the viewers can see the infraction. Not so with this game. Almost every "penalty" called against us was not shown on replay. Plenty of them seemed BS to me, and the fact that I couldn't actually see the proof in detail made it upsetting.

I'm sorry, but I can't take any team in the NFC West this year seriously. A team from that division is likely to get a game in the playoffs without a winning record, at best 8-8. Absurd.

This replay business happens all the time..it depends mostly on who the home team is. If a play hurts the home teams' chance of winning the game it will not be shown on replays in the stadium.

I wish I could show the cover of today's sports page here in Houston. The worst non-call facemask I've ever seen.

edit: I found it.

What games were the referees watching on Sunday?

Sometimes, Rossticles, I feel like there's always some sort of discrimination (I know it's too strong a word) against the Texans. We're usually getting beat on plays in ESPN highlights, not many give the Texans any love, they see Andre Johnson throw haymakers to that dope Cortland Finnegan as people want him suspended... yet if some of these things happened elsewhere, there wouldn't be as much attention. If you're going to enforce something, BE CONSISTENT! There are teams in much worse crap than us. Still, we're seen as the major disappointment and butt of all jokes. Damned sick of it.

Lighter note... Bears at Vikings TONIGHT in the cold outdoors! Favre will try and go tonight against his rival (back in the Packers days) Bears. Bears can clinch the NFC North with a win. Who will prevail?

I didn't think Favre was starting....tuning in to ESPN.

I completely understand. I don't know if I'm reacting because it's my team, but I don't think that's the case. It is very hard to describe the reaction the Texans' bad plays get from various commentators. It seems that when they can say something bad, even if it is something tiny, they do...and repeat it, and repeat it, and repeat it. I wish I had written down what ESPN said about the Texans' last Monday morning on SC. It was something completely unnecessary, but unfortunately I can't recall.

On another note: how the F is Peyton Manning 3rd in the Pro Bowl voting?

edit: Favre is starting.

/\ This game is going to be unlike anything we've seen since the 80's. Frozen Tundra for real, except in MN instead of Green Bay.

I wonder if that was a career-ending injury. Granted, it won't prevent him from playing football, but he might simply choose not to play any more given all of the concussions he's experiencing. I halfway think we won't see him play another down for the rest of his life.

I think the Colts keep putting him in the game when he still has signs of a previous concussion. It's the only reason I can think of for him having 3 (I think?) concussions this season. The one yesterday had me worried though and I despise the Colts.

I feel the same with the Hawks. We had a blocked kick, and a blocked punt returned for a TD in the same game and only one of those showed up in the weekly On Demand recap show (that I remember seeing). And it is on rare occasion that anything good we do gets recognized high up in the top 10. I think we've only had one top 3 finish, and that was Butler's amazing catch and run against the Cards. Even that block+return wasn't good enough for top 5. And when Leon Washington returned 2 kicks for TDs in the same game (I was there :D) it made the the tenth spot.

And something I've noticed from people announcing for our games, or saying in the media... they always talk about when the Seahawks play at home how far the other teams have to travel to get there, and how tired/jet-lagged they are. But strangely nobody ever mentions that we have to do that every time we are on the road.

Those three games yesterday were awesome close shots.

The Steelers missed that last second touchdown catch, when they were blocked. Take that Pittsburgh! Also, the Jets receiver caught the kick off and kept running, and scored a touchdown in the first twelve seconds of the game. Now, that's something you don't see everyday.

Ravens won! Oh yeah!

Redskins lost by three points. Sweet!

I think that Rex Ryan story is stupid. Why is it even being deemed newsworthy? Who cares what he does with his wife? That is a funny cartoon though :)

I don't get it either, perhaps it's because it's actually his wife and not some chick on the side.

Yeah I know it's stupid but that pic made me laugh.

lol, draft picks, draft picks, lol. Thanks, Lions.

Chad Henne sucks. Dan Henning sucks. Trade the whole draft and 2012 draft for Andrew Luck thanks.

DAMN IT AGAIN!!! Texans fail for the (x)th straight time. 24-23 in favor of Tebow's Broncos. So we're playing for spoiler against Jacksonville at home. This has been a terrible season for my Texans. See why you NEVER have expectations? ESPN, get to hating. Praise Tebow up (and I've never hated Tim Tebow). This is a game we should have won, but the Texans' defense just laid more eggs.

I want to break something. This is damned despicable.

Our defense is now tied with the worst of all time with 14 games allowing 24+ points. They made Tebow look like an NFL veteran. After our best season of 9-7 we go back to our old ways with a best possible finishing record of 6-10.

I thought about retiring my M. Williams jersey today. I know he didn't play, but it is besides the point. :(

My only other commentary of this weeks' games is the fact that the Giants fell off...bad! I'm not a Giants fan, but they have some talent.

Mike Singletary got fired. Lol. His only allure was that he was "motivational". He reminds me of those football dads that try to coach. Singletary is only qualified to be a linebackers coach. That's it.

What the hell has happened to Randy Moss after his exit from the Patriots?
The last three games he has no reciving yards, and he has only around 70 yards for Titans in 7 games.

Mike Singletary got fired...

Only one game left in the season and they can him. Classy. (necessary)

Although, I've read the owners are seeking GM counsel from Parcells. Hmmm, isn't the Tuna still under contract with the Fins? It must be awesome being him*, not ever wrong, always being cool and stuff....

*blow hard

So the Iggles blow it at home against the Vikes. Short week then the Cowboys show up. Wonder if they'll play their starters since last nights lost blew any upward seeding chances they might have gathered. Seems the Cowboys and Texans are in a battle for the worst record in Tejas. No doubt we'll lose no matter who Philly puts on the field. Life must suck with no heart. :(

It's basically a "who cares?" game for me, but the Texans end their disappointment of a season by hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Andre Johnson and D. Sharpton out along with others out, I'm actually so uncertain we'll win that I may not even watch this game. It would be a rarity that I just not follow a Texans game in any way. Sadly, when everything else has gone wrong, what's really the point of watching a team that has disappointed severely [potentially] disappoint one last time? Some Texans players are saying that they are "playing for Kubiak" today to keep his job.

Enjoy this final weekend of regular season NFL football!
