I see no one online for any type of race.. Is this normal? I think the game is quite good and dirt 2 still has people playing it

Maybe some Timezone stuff going on. This game really didn't last that long. What a shame. Keep looking around at different times and maybe you'll find someone!

You kidding me? There's a lot of people online on Dirt 3!
It might be becasue of your timezone, most players are American.

Seriously? I checked every ranked match mode and done quick search on the other one and absolutely nothing at all

I'd play the game a lot more if I knew someone who actually knew certain things down to stats, the best cornering technique for surfaces and stuff.....unfortunately no one I knew knows any of this and so cornering became too subjective and thus I never bothered improving.

Don't forget people have school and work...

EST is a popular timezone and I don't see much players around. Well.. sort of. No one does Rally or Trailblazer anymore. :(

I agree with you! I can't find anybody! :D

I wouldn't know if anyone was playing online, mainly because I haven't done so myself in over a month. I just don't have the same urge to find online races as I did with DiRT2, and I honestly don't know why this is the case.

I found that DiRT2 online was extremely addictive, but I'm just not getting that same feeling when playing DiRT3 online, strange.

I didn't buy this game for the reason that I knew it just wouldn't last.

I was thinking this too. But I bought it anyways for I was bored and love rally. I should grab the official WRC game. 💡

I'm probably just going to get rid of the game. Luckily I didn't go and buy all the recent DLC, but I have put in 20 USD... shouldn't have done that...

Yeah I noticed point to point and those team games were empty the other night. I was just racing like 1 other guy for awhile til another joined. Now rally cross still seemed populated but I got wrecked right at the start which made me miss iRacing for the clean online so went back to that

I hope that was just a fluke with the lack of players. Now i see why they hurry'd up and released all those DLCs. Cause they knew ppl would lose interest. Great game but its a little shallow in the depth dept

They probably would've been better off not putting up the DLC and just putting it in the game at first. Many probably didn't want to buy all that DLC. It's a lot of money.

There were a lot of players on PS3 GMT zone during Friday, all disciplines - though most were the modes done at Battersea.

I've been away from online for a few months as I didn't have the DLC - I have it now and so will be back online. Try hardcore, that can be quite full at times.

Americans chances for rally is only in Dirt series. The official WRC (which is I think far better than Dirt & I dont care the graphics. ) I care the content plus the stages long stages & not 2 mins stages. Official WRC were cool tho, but in USA they dont relese this. Dunno why.

For awhile now I've been trying to find the most inexpensive one I could get due to it not being sold over here. I'm thinking about firing up DiRT 3 again for a few days and then maybe even just get rid of it.

I also find it hard to find people online especially in point to point which is all im interested in, it's a shame you cant just pick rally instead you have to do head to head, trailblazer and race with trucks all in the same lobby, that ruined online a bit for me.

I also realized that i was playing with the same players day after day week after week and this was just after release then after about a month struggled to find full lobbies.

I don't understand how online is so dead the game sold well and it's still in the top 20 in most shops and erbsites i visit.

On the DLC subject i refuse to pay for it since some cars that were in the trailers pre release were left out of the game and then I'm forced to buy them as DLC :irked: same with the monte carlo DLC it was released so soon after the game come out that I can only assume it was pulled from the final game and then released as DLC even tho it was probably finished at the same time as the game itself.

Glad I never bought into the DLC.

I seriously considered buying the DLC for this, but my interest in the game has waned as of late, so I never bothered in the end.

Spending whatever amount of cash on car and track packs isn't something I'm planning on doing any time soon either, seeing as I'm trying to save my money right now. Perhaps if I regain interest in DiRT3 at some point in the future, then I might decide to buy DLC for it.

I have myself lost interest in the game. The lack of tracks I think is the major reason. In career I find myself redoing the same ones and it becomes dull. I did buy into the DLC but I regreted it as it did not really add much to the game.

I am in the same boat with Piotrov, I really wished there were more varieties of point to point rally tracks. As majority of them were dull and always have me tempting to stop playing and just stick with Richard Burns Rally.

Also, the lack of people online as the most active rooms are hardcore. Which I love the Point to point rally racing in hardcore mode but you are forced to do the rallycross, landrush, and the other races that I really did not wish to do in hardcore mode. Which I thought in my opinion was disappointing.

I like the game and all, I just don't understand simulators or anything trying to be one...

HP3 is still so much fun even after playing until I get bored of it.

Tbh, I just got into simulators after playing GT5 with a wheel. But I still do play lots of arcade-racer games. Yes even... Mario Kart Wii, I still do...
Will soon be getting Initial D Extreme Stage replacing my Dirt 3 game as an arcade-racer for the PS3.

I seem to have leaned towards arcade-racers with a level of physics or mechanics that have touched upon SOME realism....I can't stand Mario Kart because it's too dumbed-down for me, but at the same time GT5 and even Dirt 3 is too much for me because of all the little intricacies that throw you off the road.

I had pretty much purchased all the DLC since they had decent deals on them. But only the dlc cars were available to use online in pro tour, not the tracks

just dramatically seems to loose the depth games like GT5 have. Cant paint the cars in the console version or save replays or host your own races or pick any car for any track. Kind of feels like they (Codemasters) only focus on hitting the bare minimum requirements to get money out of us. Still a crazy fun game to play here & there. But it does lack
