How many laps are we going to be doing and is there going to be day/night?

Man I hope we're not going to do night racing :scared:, this track is already very challenging and narrow for GT500 cars.

How many laps?

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around, really haven't had a chance to be on GT5 or on the forum all week. Its just been crazy, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience. I will get results up today for Monza (sorry, this really should have been up several days ago).

We will be racing today. The way qualifying works is your gonna get 2 laps, 1 warm up, one for real. Save your tires on that warmup lap, and leave plenty of space between each other. Lets all be fair, I know their are corners that can be cut, lets not do this.

Room will open at the usual time. I may or may not be able to actually participate in the race, but I will host, run qualifying, and start it.

Do you guys still wanna do a 1.5 hour race?

Thanks everyone, especially for your patience. Big update (2 race results) coming tonight.

Edit: I wont be doing weather, as it can really ruin a race (worn tires, no where near the pits, rain = :()

Do you guys want time change?

Just to keep things clear, the usable track will = black pavement, rumble strips, cobbles, and any concrete (hard) run off areas. Must keep at least tires on or vertically in line with the track.

There;s like no place to corner cut here apart from the GP-Strecke chicane.

Daytime race. Dont kill em'. Owens doesnt know the circuit. I started racing this track in Shift 1 and continued with it in GT5. I've grown to like it alot.

I'm thinking we should do a pace "run" up to the start/finish area of the old Nordschleife (the area with the blue wall right after the chicane.) That'd be good.

Guys, not gonna make it tonight. A friend from out west is in town and there is a get together at a friends. I really wanna make it. So with that. I will see you all next week.

That sounds good! Though a better spot would be the run up to the chicane since there's more room there...

practice room open:

edit: room closed 8:15pm

Standing start could work, too...the circuit part of the track is quite wide and has large runoff areas which we are (surprisingly) allowed to use.

+1 for daytime sunny.

Lol!! The problem is them being abused! All going wide does is slow you down...

This was me being unclear again. I was referring only to the runoff on the Nordschleife. For the circuit, standard rules apply.

Lounge up in 20 minutes

Edit: Lets do standing start on this one, just to keep things simple

Looks like I'm not making it....

EDIT:if my last attempt doesn't work I'm out today as well.

Good race guys. Maybe I'll learn something from it.

Glad I stuck in there. Half way through I was sure I was going to place before Jepoks, but I had one good wreck which cleaned out my tires on lap 5 and that was it. By the time I got around to the pits and out, Jepoks zoomed by and I never caught back up.

By the way Jepoks, is this racing?

How the heck did you manage that?

EEK, I knew somebody hit the back of me in the first corner! The UMD won the national championships Hockey while I was racing, there was fireworks and stuff outside.

What I'd like to know is what was going trough Ultrap's mind as he was watching the car fly!!

Man I really wished I could of done this race. I really need the practice on the Ring. :(

However had a wonderful evening. Good friends, Lasagna and Roulette. Mmmm makes for a great night out.

I don't recall flying in that first corner, went back and looked at my saved replay and it shows I'm flat on the ground running wide. I don't have the Yellow car in my replay as well, hope I did not hit him.

I was closing in on Magic on my 4th lap but I had a wreck as well and ate up all my tires. I could not go faster than ~100KPH, thought I was gonna be last for sure. I was surprised I was able to pass him while he was in the pit. Tried to race cleanly and cautiously from then on.

Lol!! Dude you went up 20 feet on the air as you got pinned between the wall and the Yellowhat GTR. You might want to look into your connection or settings so it doesn't happen to you anymore.
