CRX is normal. Too short to have been an AE86.
Because cars can't be shortened...

(I know it's a relatively standard CRX and that wasn't a real jab at anyone, just a segue to the next odd modification. :P)
 
The original doors aren't going to protect squat in a crash--I'd rather have that glass shatter and the 5mm of material that it once was be eliminated, perhaps being just enough to make a difference.

Oh...and the deux chevaux has a strong following. ;)
 
I believe this one belongs to Pete Aardema (Aardema SOHC).

Chevy small block with his SOHC conversion, mated to, as I recall, a GM TH-425 (a la Oldsmobile Toronado) turned 90 degrees with a custom final drive fitted to lower the center of gravity, no longer requiring a crossover axle through the oil pan.
 
This right here is just plain awesome, I want it pretty badly.

That is indeed Aardema's car. The guy is nuts. The right kind of nuts.
