I wonder if they will be adding the new Super GT Supra-GT500 while this is going on... It's replacing the current gen Gr.2 Lc500 we have in-game. It's interesting at the least. Sounds fun.

I'll be surprised if we get the GT500 car before it's real life official tests.

Edit: It's a possibility to get the GT4 Concept by the Nurb 24 though.
For 2019, in addition to NASCAR Exfinity Series, Supra will take part in the Nurburgring 24 Endurance Race (plan to take part in SP8T).

Maybe then they could have avoided the CSC controversy and screwing over Z owners without a proper recall.
Nah, just thinking about when GT Academy was happening. The Z was utilised in the real drivers races, but we as players, never used those same race cars in game.

Details have now been released regarding the ‘GR Supra GT Cup’, the first global One-Make Championship in Gran Turismo Sport.

This is part of the e-Motorsport activities that Toyota GAZOO Racing has started this year, involving one-make races using the GR Supra RZ. Going beyond the boundaries of the real and the virtual, the feedback and evaluations gained through this championship will be used to shape the future of the Supra product in the real world.

The 'GR Supra GT Cup', held for the first time this year, will consist of 13 Rounds online starting from 27 April, with the top players from the rankings proceeding to the Final, a live event scheduled for Autumn that will determine the prestigious inaugural champion.

We hope you look forward to seeing the exciting drama and heated close battles that only a same level playing field provided by a one-make race can provide.

For more details about the rules and entry requirements, please see the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing 'GR Supra GT Cup' special website.

I didn't see an existing thread for this but please merge if necessary.

Races are mostly on Saturday afternoons/evenings which seems pretty ideal.

Best get practising then...x23 tyre wear, that's going to make braking for turn 1 interesting :) I take it ASM/CSA is banned?

Only one time slot seems a bit silly, they better hope they have their servers in tip top shape or else there will be some unhappy players.

I’m excited for this but not excited about having to spend 3 hours of a Saturday in summer inside playing GT when there’s plenty of better things to do. I wish they could learn to stagger things throughout the week instead of piling them all on 2 evenngs

Aaaaaand here we go again with the short races on stupid tyre wear and horrendous weak slipstream. I truly hoped PoDi wouldn't impose yet again that crappy format which everybody is fed up of.

Where does it say that the slipstream is set to weak? Or are you suggesting that the game's slipstream is too weak? Where does this opinion come from?

When I've had my car on track at track days, I can't say that I have ever even noticed a gain from drafting because my street car is too slow.

No TBA ? So no new track in this one..... Again very dissapointing.... Get a new decent track in there PD

It says TBA for October, and says the calendar is subject to change. So anything can happen. The entire calendar could change theoretically, so be more sensible rather then making up false information.

The article, which is what I will assume you read, doesn't mention this, however there are links provided, with more information.

Lots of moaning and groaning in this thread all of a sudden.. I'm looking forward to giving this a go! If it's successful I'd expect to see more manufacturers hop onboard with these sort of championships in the years to come! :gtpflag:
