Having seen both in real life, side by side, at the auto show, i'd say the GT40 is better looking than the GT. I've loved the car since GT2, its the original "Ferrari slayer". Now I just have to learn how to drive it in GT4.

Forgive me for being wrong, but as great as the machine was in that amazing race, I dont think I can call it the "Ferrari Slayer" since Ferrari concentrated they're goal on F1 instead of Le Man. The same way i'm sure if Toyota had of kept on racing in Le Man instead of concentrating/moving into F1 I reckon they would be the top.

Not to say that its not a brilliant car! Which it is!

:yuck:

Oh yeh and here's a few shots either me or my brother took.

Yeah me too. I would like the wing one more if it didn't sound like a v6.

I was simply quoting what Car & Driver Magazine referred to the car as back in the '60's, hence the quotes I used. Also, they were talking about the road going versions of the car, I believe. The same way they talk about the Ford GT '05 vs. 360 Modena in magazines today.

The whole existance of the GT40 was to go after Enzo (the man, not the car)... after he backed off the sale of Ferrari to Ford. Ford (the man, not company) was pizzed and went after Ferrari's sportscar program which dominated in the 60's.

It took a few tries but 'blue-collar' American grunt with British chassis know-how beat Ferrari.

The new GT used the 360 as a benchmark but came close to the Enzo.
