I just started GT3 not to long, and its my first time. But damn, why did the developers add so many laps to a track when the competition is NOTHING!? I dunno bout u guys, but it pisses me off

Well obviously if you just slap massive upgrades on every car you drive, then it will be dull because there's no competition. But if you spec your car sensibly, those 20 or 30 lap races can be 45 minutes of sheer excitement.

Personally, I'd like longer tracks - ones which take 3 - 4 minutes to lap, rather than the 1:15 - 1:40 tracks we have at the moment. You run on all the tracks so much, it's much better if you have to put some effort into learning them. Come on! Bring on the Nordschleife!

the enduros bore me to tears...

the pro series is ok tho when you take pits into account :)

i also like smaller races to 5 laps :)

30 laps or more becomes tedious :/

I've fallen asleep on more than a few occasions at Test course and Super speedway.

But Giles is right. Why run a speed 12 at the Trial Mtn enduro, when you can win it in a Camaro? If you're leading at the end of the first lap by a 1/2 lap, how are you going to make it the remaining 75?

R246 is a hugely long race. Took me something like 2.5hrs. I break it down into chunks, and just pause the game when in the pits.

I know one solution on making those long hard laps a lot more fun..if you could play your own music in the background while racing...thatll be perfect

i did R246 from 11:xxpm - 2:xxam, and i can't remember doing the last 15-20 laps i was so tired. it just becomes automatic after a while.
yes, i used a grossly-overpowered GT-ONE.

I did R246 in the middle of my day off. When my sister came home right at the end of it,I was starving for human contact and I dont think I played the game for about a week. I used a 598hp Pennzoil GT-R JGTC and I went nuts. The retarded thig is, I bet peopleout there have done this with an F1 or something ridiculous.

R246 took me 2.5 hours, when I started I thought it was 100 miles, only after about 40 minutes of racing did the awful truth that it was 100 LAPS dawn on me, and by then I didn't want to stop and waste the 40 mins I'd already driven.
I think the best way to do it is the most realistic, get a mate round and swap drivers every 30 laps or so.

took me 2 and a half hours as well using the GT-One road car.
it's not THAT bad. but then again i was trying to bulid up my garage and get some mad coin so i had the incentive :D

super speedway endurance is the worse IMO... and seattle..bah.. ****ty prize cars :D

LOL! I ran the Tokyo Endurance 3 times over 2 days using the F687/S, only saving after the 3rd and final attempt (reloaded after the first 2). Each of the 300 laps had the same goal in mind: Get around in the shortest time possible. It didn't matter to me whether I was winning by 1 lap or .001", as long as I was winning. Quite retarded, indeed...

The way I see it, the crew at Polyphony is making us do this race, one way or the other. If they wanted to restrict the use of any vehicles, I think they would've. I think they'll make the next game much more enriching if they (re?)institute HP restrictions and such, and/or have more normal car and single-car type races.

I think the challenge of the enduros is in fighting attrition. Tokyo, especially being 100 laps, is very trying on one's patience, and can be particularly frustrating if the prize car awarded is less than desirable. I don't think my choice to use the F1 is as retarded as my determination to achieve the results I desired... but that is just me and my "Specially Educated" self...

Have a great drive!

Hazzard, the retard

I've fallen asleep on the seattle endurance, woke up im 8 laps behind - 30 laps to go. That was more exciting when you are losing and you have to catch up. I did too :D

well it really depends what car ur drivin... i mean.. think about it.. if its an even field...... that means it'll be pretty darn hard to catch up with only 30 laps.. means you gotta lap everyone every 3 laps...
