When racing at PP700 Suzuka today I saw a few GB (GTP_Sphinx actually) and a ES player online. That is the first time I've seen anyone other than US or CA over here in North America...
 
I've just received the NTSC (NA) version of the game today, so I'm having a little play @ Suzuka. :)

I got taken out a few times, but all in all, not bad. 👍

Thanks...now I know that NTSC plays well no matter where in the world it is. Good to know...

Hey The359, try mapping left and right views to L1 and R1, then put the rear view to L3. This away you can look around on both straights and corners, only catch obbiously is you have to be careful not to push down the left analog when you don't want to.

Then I have R3 mapped to turn on and off the Quick tune settings, and the d-pad to switch and change the values.

I thought about moving them to the shoulder buttons, but then you lose then you have to figure out where to move the gear shift buttons...

I agree. 👍 If I can play the NA version from this side of the pond with no problem, then why do we have to be regional?

PAL / NTSC incompatibilities I guess?

Just had a nice battle with GTP_HAAS599 for 1st place, I had him in the corners but my car was a little underpowered in the straights.

haha, umm...I had you on the straights and corners buddy.

I was letting off to keep from passing you because it is lonely in front.

The only place the you had me each race was the start.
 
Hey guys. How about next time we meet we decide what cars class, or specific cars we should use?

I would love to see all Cappuccino HP/TUNED car race! :)

After reading this I went and tried out some of the beginner online races which use the slower cars

They were actually pretty fun, if you overlooked all the hitting/bumping that went on and the idea they last a pathetic 2 laps

It's a shame PD doesn't let you drive the slower cars with professional physics and more laps like the 700pp races. Grood drivers don't want to only drive the fastest cars all the time

I can imagine a field full of GTP racers on Daytona oval using cars like the Ford Mustang would make a heck of a race. 3 and 4 wide would be common

So yeah, I'm up for the idea of using slower cars, maybe run some 600pp races?
 
Don't forget the races will change in 4 days, so who knows what sort of settings they will have. Could even have some one-make races.
 
The359 can you link me to that information or whatever? How do you know everything will be changing in 4 days?

I should be ready for HSR tonight. :)
 
Good raceing Potatochip and Godzilla at Daytona. Had i nice 3 way battle for the win. Sorry about the nug at the end Poatochip didn't mean to.

When you first click on each race event, it says they last from April 14 or something to April 28th. There's even a specific time, like 1:00pm or something.
 
love it when someone dive bombs me in the technical section at the end of the track and I get the 4 second penalty which is essentially a death blow
 
The first race at 10 was solid, then the following race went nuts with lag... third race I got host and am calling it a night. Saw a lot of GTP tags out there!

EDIT - glad it wasn't just me, Grand Prix. I always worry that I'm the only one seeing flying cars and everyone else sees me plowing the field.
 
I'll be ready for the Fuji race. Spent some time working on my GT-R setup and managed to get 3 seconds within the record time. :)

It is very quiet tonight, usually this thread is alive and thriving...

Didn't see you at Fuji, but me and the359 are synced

I think there will be more participation on Friday and the weekend, online racing is usually like that
 
just raced 359 and Earth at fuji, gotta get something to eat, see you guys at suzuka.
