First off, Paulie, you don't leave the TCs except in a wooden box. Withdrawal rejected.

Now then... In my hands the FTO is 2-3 seconds slower at GVS versus my RSX. It's absolutely crap at lower speeds. High speed it's fine, but anything below around 70 and 3rd gear it gets quite wrong. Aaaand I've had it light the tires in third by hitting kerbing wrong. So I do have my reasons for disliking the FTO.

Also, next time ask me before you edit anything on your bloody entry, Leo. >_> Editing this long after the deadline puts you rather suspect. Oops, VCD a full 17 days after setups were closed? I made an offhand comment earlier but yeah...

Back on topic, I am now in the process of judging the 4wd segment with all but one car waiting on a 5 lap run down of Tsukuba (can't find the damn Stagea yet). From Tsukuba I will be doing a 7 lap drive of each car on Twin Ring Motegi East Course to confirm my results and then we shall have a winner. Sigh. I started at 11:30 and it's 3pm now.

Edit: Found a Stagea 25t RS Four S (wow that's a mouthful). Damn

I have a question about judging.

Do you have to judge all the cars or can you just do one section and leave the others?

Back on topic, I am now in the process of judging the 4wd segment with all but one car waiting on a 5 lap run down of Tsukuba (can't find the damn Stagea yet). From Tsukuba I will be doing a 7 lap drive of each car on Twin Ring Motegi East Course to confirm my results and then we shall have a winner. Sigh. I started at 11:30 and it's 3pm now.

Hey Camry, make sure you get the version in black. That car inspired me to write a GT4 fanfic. Dunno if it will see the light of day, but if it does my story will be about 3000 words of Chandleresque, with a touch of early Tarantino, and quite farcical, being noir over camp.

BTW: I'm testing blind, so whoever did the Stagea pls don't own up in this thread. And likewise, whoever did the Sol pls don't own up, but that's a bl9ody weapon. Once I figure out how to drive it, it should make top four at least.

Hey, That sounds like a great GT4 story in the making there. I'm having enough trouble as it is finding that damn Stagea in the first place, let alone black.

I like the idea of blind testing, it ensures that personal feeling don't get in the way of judging. Too bad I'm too lazy to be bothered with anything like blind testing.

P.S and Edit: I've been wanting too write a fan-esqe story but still haven't found the right inspiration.
Found the Stagea now, It's white :(

You need the Autech. The 25t RS doesn't have the brakes or the R33's AWD.

C'mon mate, I know you blokes have tuned a few cars and had a bit of argy-bargy, but you should really step up to ensure this is done properly.

As I said, I'm reviewing blind. I have no cars entered so I'm attempting the full 36 or so. Over the Christmas period. While writing a bloody PhD thesis.

It really is ****ing pathetic that the best tuners on the site can't even review the oppposition.

Bloody hell mate.

AWD is the ONLY class I can judge (without conflict of interest) and I will more than likely get around to it, just not right bloody now.

Also, note I said a few of the CARS angered me, not their tuners. Understeer + fast car + me behind the wheel = me going off track repeatedly and getting pissed at self and car. Especially when I can't do anything to said vehicle to fix the understeer because I'm trying to judge tunes, not make new ones.

Although, if we don't get enough people for RWD I'll pull my entry and judge it.
 
PF, the thing is we need to be un-biased and sometimes that's a bit hard when you have one of your own entries in there. We work around it two ways:

1. Independent judges with no entries entered whatsoever (which is hard to find in itself)....OR

2. We all chip in and help eachother in the judging. :)

The AWD and N3's are the only ones I can judge without a conflict of interest. But at the same time, I can judge the FWD/RWD categories and have a couple of other judges check out my work to make sure there's no bias involved. :)
 
That's alright mate. My scores may not be that good as it is my first time judging. I will try to do at least one more section before the cutoff.

Sorry mate, rereading it while sober it's a bit harsh. Also, despite the quote, it was not directed at an individual (especially not directed at you and the other organisers). I'm getting immensely frustrated because I don't have time to do the judging (which I promised to do IIRC) along with PhD work, and am going on a 2 week holiday tomorrow. I'll try to do FWD tonight, but really can't promise anything.

My good mate/driver Mr Lawrence is looking after the house and will do some driving. Would you accept him judging despite the fact he doesn't have a gtp account?

Once again, sorry if I caused anyone offence, especially RJ, to whom I'll PM a gift to apologise. Oh yeah, and for the profanity.

Still no word on the RWD class. Come on, I want to see how my C4 fairs against the other muscle cars.
 
Word on your C4 Paulie, it was stolen and torched at the back of Infineon for not being good enough for TCv4. :P It is now being used as a jump ramp for my Hilux. :D
