well, let's hope that this little iron curtain will fall by the time when GT5 is released..

Oh, and we have had a couple of world events where PAL and NTSC and JP versions were all in the same race, but for some reason they haven't put any up recently, which seems silly because they worked fine, better than fine even, because there were enough people on each race so player matching didn't take so long.

I'm the same, except swap the Spec-C for the RUF. :sly: Trying to do this during the hours I'm free from the kids, which isn't often, plus the garage. :boggled: Makes me a very very tired person. :yuck:

Maybe you can take it to your local gamestore and they will resurface it? I usually go to a library to get mine fixed.
 
How come everyone keeps having disks die on them. I think I've had the same disk for about nearly 4 years now.

Me too. Still works fine after 4 years or so, one time I got the red spiral of death but that turned out to be a couple fingerprints.
 
I'm currently on my third disc.. 1 got stolen, one was destroyed in cleaning accident.. :ouch:
 
:odd:....Cleaning accident? :odd: I'm still on my first disc, and its had the red spiral a few times, I just rub off the prints and put it back in and it starts up again.
 
1st here too I think...

3rd PS2 though. Well, 2nd I've run my copy of GT4 on, my fat PS2 died before I got GT4. Then my first slim died... Replaced it with this.
 
My GT4 dies, like, every two weeks. Its annoying as heck, I think Im getting a new one soon.
 
my 1st disc is still good after nearly 1 year, despite having some scratches.., haven't experienced DRE a.k.a. red spiral of death yet..,
 
Finally got some free time, girl has to work all day whoohooo! Sadly a friend of mine called me we still have to do some stuff together for school...

Oh well, you guys probably would like to have a new years present, don't you?;)

I'm amazed this second slim is holding together as well as it is. Weeks on, rarely off... Poor thing.

Yes. a cleaning accident. I was mopping the floor and the controller wire got caught on the mops handle and it yanked PS2 down from the table, while GT4 was still inside and running :ouch:
 
XD Thats got to be the weirdest way to destroy a disc!
 
yeah.. and that was only couple weeks after I got that second disc. the keeper of the gameshop where I usually buy the games felt so sorry for me that he gave me 5€ discount for the third one. :lol: But, enough off-topic..
 
Lol thats great! Yeah but OT: Whats going on with the judging guys? I'm anxious to figure out how my cars did. One was still a drift car when I entered it!
 
On my 1st disk since GT4 came out too. ;)

2nd PS2 though, my original chubby decided blue disks are not playable anymore. :ouch:
