Ill probably be able to make practice tonight.

I can practice tonight pretty much whenever. When will a room be up?

This season is short and we're done with half of it. But if I get the vibe right - there might be more seasons in this car soon after this one is done. So keep an eye out for it for the future.

Would definetly be interested if yall do another season. 👍

We're pretty much at capacity on Tuesdays but we may have a little room on Fridays as attendance for that night has been low so far. Are you available on Fridays around 10pm EDT?

He can gladly have my spot on Tuesday, I won't be able to make any of the remaining Tuesday or Friday dates due to work scheduling.

Sorry to hear that NC, but understandable. I'm going to have to look at things first, I already had someone else ask about running on Tuesday and replied that we were full but had room on Friday. To be fair, he would get first dibs on a Tuesday opening but I think he's going to be able to run on Friday so hopefully we can reach an agreement that will allow both of them to participate. 👍 Stay tuned.

I should be in the Champ lounge in about 30-40 minutes for those wanting to join in on some practice. As always, anyone is welcome to open the lounge earlier if they desire.

I'll jump in at 8pm for a bit. 👍

I will eat a little supper, and I will join in.

Thanks I will keep a eye on the site to see if I can race or not. Thanks for the help.

I'll send you a PM once I get everything straight. Just want to be sure everyone is being treated fairly. It just so happened that someone PM'd me about joining Tuesday just a couple hours before you posted, but he can run on Friday so I think we can work it out. 👍

I'm opening the Champ lounge now for some la Sarthe testing.

I wouldn't mind running some laps with yall.

I am about to join as well. I hope I don't crash too much :nervous:

Ok will send now. :)

Just a suggestion, based on yesterdays practice. There's very little reason to battle for position/dive on the inside before corners on this track (other than the last lap or two). There's crapload of passing chances on straights. Especially when you're not battling for the lead, but trying to catch-up to someone. So if you want to pass early please do so on the straight, that way both you and the passee won't fall further behind.

Will there be a mandatory pit stop for the LeMans race? Just asking because i think you might be eable to make tires last all 12 laps.

^ I asked Brandon during practice yesterday. No mandatory pitstop.

Hmm I guess depending on how the race plays out will depend on if i pit, that and how much tires fall off.

Meh, unless you drift every corner, spending 30-40 seconds in the pits won't be worth it. If you do drift every corner - might make sense to pit, but you'll be caught by race finish timer anyways ;)

Agreed. I had a couple moves during the practice races that probably looked like I was trying to pass in the corners but most of them were due to carrying too much speed because of having a good draft. They were more like evasive maneuvers than pass attempts. That's part of the reason I wanted to do some practice last night, figure out how much sooner we need to brake when we're in the draft.

There will be no mandatory pitstop for this race and it seems like it may be possible to go the distance without one. For large portions of this track we're just going straight which is pretty gentle on your tires. For qualifying I'm going to set the timer for 12 minutes, this should give everyone a chance to get two flying laps in (plus your warm up lap). I know it isn't very many laps but we don't want to spend a half hour qualifying. So be sure to make one of your two laps a good one!

I would give it a few more minutes for qualifying IMO. Only reason i say that is that way everyone wont be jumping on track as fast as possible trying to make sure to get there 2 laps in. If you give it a couple extra minutes no one will finish a 3rd lap but will give extra time for people to go out on track a little bit apart so guys arent getting in each others way when qualifying. Make sense to anyone else or did i screw up my explanation haha.

If he makes it any longer, some people will get 3 laps.

Rules we use:If you start your flier just before the clock hits 00:12, you get to complete it. So no reason to extend this further.

12 minutes is plenty of time to do 2 laps while spreading out and start your 2nd flier. No reason to extend it.

Yep. 10 minutes probably would have been enough for everyone to begin their second flying lap but I'll tack on the extra 2 minutes just to be sure. That way everyone can take their time, spread out, and still be guaranteed their two laps. The timer will expire before everyone has finished their second lap but you will all be allowed to finish it. In theory you could take 6 minutes on your warm up lap and still have plenty of time to get two flying laps in. I'll announce all of this via the in-game chat box before we start so everyone knows the procedure. 👍

Hope I make it tonight :scared: It depends if I can get off of work early enough. I am sorry if I can't make it.

Hopefully you can make it! Should be fun.

+ 1 more car to draft off of! :sly:

I am not likely to make the race this evening, but in past experience at this track; qualifying has not played a large part in the finishing results. I'll try to sneak in Friday if time allows, and if not I'll have to catch you folks after the draft-fest. Good luck to all!

I'm going to be about 10-15 minutes later than normal but should be in the lounge by 7:15pm EDT. If anyone wants to open the lounge earlier feel free. Qualifying will start as scheduled.

The ORCA_Champ lounge is open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will begin at 8:00pm EDT sharp. The session will last 12 minutes so everyone should get 2 flying laps (you can finish your lap after time expires). Pitstops are NOT mandatory.

Yay i will be able to race here for a little bit didnt think i would make it. Was driving my moms truck earlier and dayum front tire about caught on fire. I quickly new it was the caliper piston frozen. So i went to work lol got it fixed and have a half hour to spare lol. I will be joining here soon to run a few laps before qualifying.
