I think I would prefer pitting somewhat by myself. Lancer and I lost a good 10 seconds to GreyFox who pitted a lap later by himself last week.

The Twin Pines Mall ORCA_Champ lounge is open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will start at 8pm EDT sharp.

No mandatory pitstops and bump-drafting amongst the lead cars to open a gap on the field is discouraged (to promote closer racing) but won't be harshly penalized.

Great racing guys, had a blast, other than that lag spike it seemed as good as I could hope.

I wish I had a front right tire on the last lap but it wasn't going to happen. Saved it as best I could.

Wow, my hat's off to everyone that raced tonight. Two black screens of death, a botched start, a lag torpedo that took out half the field and caused an unprecedented caution/restart........but the real story of the night is that we had no crashes, a massive pack of cars bumper to bumper for the entire race and after 75 laps the top five finish within one second of each other. That was truly spectacular racing, cooperation and patience and a gigantic to you all. Even though I abused my tires on the first stint causing me to pit early and ultimately lose my front right tire with two laps left I feel like tonight was a resounding success and one of the most entertaining nights of racing I've ever had.

Congrats to JohnnyPenso on an impressive race and win. Of course being stuck behind me while I was trying to save my tires probably had everything to do with your success......you can send my cut of the purse to me later.

Seriously, no front-right tire left. This was the beginning of the final lap. I started conserving early and made them last about 41-42 laps but that was all they had.

Wow that was fun. Came in with no practice and just held on the first few laps before I got the hang of the corners. As good as I think this group is, I'm surprised we didn't have a big wreck at some point but everyone seemed to try hard to respect the high and low lines and it made for some spectacular racing. Congrats to Cnd on a strong second place finish...good to see a new guy in the mix!!! 👍

First of all, great race everyone, and great win JP. That was an absolutely astounding race. I appreciate the courteous racing from all of you guys. I was nervous with the pack racing that I would be "that guy" who caused the 9 car NASCAR-like pile up. I got lucky in the lag fest on lap 22 I believe it was. I got torpedoed in the rear bumper, but I managed not to crash. That way, I was able to stay out longer than most. I was running up front with Owens and Marcus when I realized that I needed to back off and conserve tires for a lap or two. I probably should have stayed at the back for a lap or two longer like JP did. I simply didn't have the grip at the end to make a move on JP. 👍

Congrats JP. Had a lot of fun on the left turns. Somehow Lancer and I came out even further behind after the pit (for the second time now), but worked well together with some help from ACE to at least get back up to the pack a bit. Looking forward to Friday.

I managed to avoid contact but just barely...lol. Nothing you can do about it and I saw a couple of other cars do a little lag shimmy here and there. The fact that we got through that long of a race with that many cars with only one lag incident and no disconnects seems like a miracle to me anyway. A quick reaction by Brandon to bring out the caution and everyone figured it out in spite of no warnings ahead of time and it all worked out.

Yeah, nothing you can do about it really, but it was handled really well by Brandon, and by the drivers in how they all reacted and it made for an enjoyable race all around.

I know calling a full course caution hadn't been done before (other than practice races) and I wasn't sure how everyone would react. Yes, good job Brandon, it really helped many of us out 👍 It kept the race fair and fun.

At one point I did cycle up to P1 and when I looked in my mirror I could see all 11 cars behind me, charging angrily towards my bumper. It was so impressive that I couldn't take my eyes off the mirror and completely forgot to lift for turn 3. I managed to gather it up before hitting the wall and slotted right back into the pack though. This Silvia is proving to be a total blast to race! 👍

I was beside you when it started, you lag-wiggled, spun, everyone went crazy, and another car lagged up and pummeled my rear end. The only other lag I saw was once, Brandon randomly wiggled in Turn 2, and Track lagged a little on the front straight and pushed me up to 170mph.

I was racing side by side with owens most of the race, and never experienced any lag. I did notice in the mirror when the pack behind us went all a mess and folks were seeing lag, but we did not seem to have any up front. I cannot drive an oval proper, and I am still learning how to run in a pack; but it was still a fun race. I did not expect as such.

I also would like to say this race was totally fun and pretty intense! Racing side by side, postions changing up and down! Everyone keeping there line was quite impressive! I could of easily gained 4-5 positions during the 1st 22 laps. It was that close! But I was staying back and just watching the grid change constantly. What fun! Which I took a few pictures along the way in order. Hope you all enjoy! (lol)

Good Clean Racing

But then.....the "STORM" comes along.....

Racing hard and all of a sudden, I see tons of smoke ahead! Not knowing which path to take at 140mph+. My "spotter"(gut feeling) says to go high..... And I did....... (LOL)

Run right into.... #46! then causing a mass effect!

NOW THAT'S NOT SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN lol

But then...CAUTION comes out (thankfully) 👍

I was starting 6th with Trackbound7 in front of me at restart. But for some reason Trackbound7 was a few car lengths behind the 4th place car. Someone behind me was nudging me to push him up closer(LOL) but couldn't really. Then on green/restart I think TRACK was sleeping or took off on the wrong gear because he wasn't moving much. Which about 4 guys including me passed him but kept us away from the front a bit. (LOL)
It was a solid run when I teamed up with Lancer and Track (or shall I say they caught up to me and I just tagged along) and we were gaining on the front pack. But just fell a lil short at the end. Had a couple chances to pass Track and Lancer....but failed. Luckily I gained 8th spot. Thanks Carr and Brandon for those flats...haha. I geuss my strategy of pitting on lap 40 helped me out a little bit!

Lag is weird and usually the person lagging can't see any evidence of it. I remember trying to do a group photo once where we were all parked side by side. One guy seemed to keep moving forwards and backwards and I asked him to stop moving. He swore he wasn't but everyone could see it except for him. Turned out another guy in the room couldn't see him at all and they were trying to occupy the same space. He uploaded a video of his replay and on his screen he was perfectly stationary.

Cnd, I'm confident that nobody here places any blame on you for the accident. Lag happens to everyone from time to time and if you read up on how the whole thing works it's really a wonder that it works as well as it does. So have no worries that it was at all your fault, it wasn't and we all know that. 👍
