Goodyear hasn't finished its investigation into its reported right front tire wear issue.

The ORCA_Champ lounge is now open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will start at 10:00 EDT sharp!

No mandatory pitstops but I can guarantee you'll need one. We are going to do a normal standing start as the rolling start on this track is screwy and puts too much room between the cars to keep the pack close.

The first race was all about tire-preservation for me (from lap 20 or so), so it'll just be more of the same.

Though it's a tire-preservation fest, it's also a tactic-battle fest, especially near the end. I got caught napping on Tuesday and I made my moves to get to the front way too late. With (probably) most of those racing tonight having already raced the first one, I'm quite interested to see how the race plays out.
 
Well that was fun. I was looking at a podium and a very possible maiden victory until I got shoved up the track with two to go. Oh well, good racing before that. See you Tuesday.

Sorry to hear about your trouble Brandon. It was an exceptional race otherwise with the entire field but one in the lead pack and a photo finish with three cars. Spectacular racing all around for the most part.
 
After watching the replay I'm sure I didn't help when I gave brandon a little tap on the last lap, sorry, I didn't feel it and I thought I held my line.

Anyway, great race, I wish I had made a run for the front sooner, I had a car really for battle but I was to late. I really hated saving my tires all race, just not that much fun. So to mess up at the end was a little annoying.
 
Carr, I was driving like a mad man the last two laps trying to claw my way back and kinda dive-bombed you twice in the process. I don't remember you tapping me and I'm sure it didn't hurt me any worse. No worries, things get intense after 70+ laps of conserving tires. đź‘Ť

I haven't watched the replay and don't really intend to, it happened so fast that I don't remember the cars involved and I know it was nothing intentional or penalty-worthy so I'm not going to worry about it. It was just racing, but being so close to my first victory and losing it without making a mistake made me a bit emotional. Usually I'm the one that makes the mistake and ruins my race. :lol:

EDIT: And apparently it didn't hurt me too badly as I currently sit 2nd in the points standings for Friday night. That's a first! :) (granted, a couple of the big-hitters only have one race in so far, but it's a small victory!)



I'll probably be doing some la Sarthe testing this evening after 7 or 8pm EDT, if anybody wants to join feel free. đź‘Ť

We're pretty much at capacity on Tuesdays but we may have a little room on Fridays as attendance for that night has been low so far. Are you available on Fridays around 10pm EDT?

Unfortunately not i run a Spec Series on Fridays at 930pm est. I was looking toward the Tuesday races. But thanks for answering my question. :)

This season is short and we're done with half of it. But if I get the vibe right - there might be more seasons in this car soon after this one is done. So keep an eye out for it for the future.
 
Ill probably be able to make practice tonight.
