The ORCA_Champ lounge is open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will start at 10PM EDT sharp, followed by the manual grid line up outlined above.
 
Gonna be close. 14 laps left in break in run.
Hope there's a slot. Kinda glad it's sarthe since I know the track well enough.

Well bah. FR not accepted yet and not getting Owens in the a game....

Reckon I'll try it next week.

Good racing tonight, I think. A first lap incident saw me take a trip to the beach so I didn't actually see any of the racing. Everyone seemed positive afterwards though, there were no connection problems and the time change worked (kinda), so a good night. See you Tuesday at Motegi.

Sorry, nobody is actually logged on to that account during races. I race under my ID so I couldn't accept your friend request. I checked it before I logged on and accepted a FR but I guess it was somebody else.
 
No big deal. Maybe it'll all get lined out by next Friday. Probably better this way since I've never driven this car and have no idea if it suits me or not. Thought I would be able to follow OwensRacing into the room but apparently it doesn't work that way.
 
Congrats to Carr on the close victory. Apologies again to Lefty and Fox and anyone else I might have affected when I missed my braking points a couple of times.:scared::scared::crazy::ouch:

Great racing guys.

Qualifying was annoying, Sag ran a solid 27.3 and I was up .15 but a small slip up gave kicked my rear tires off the track. I was still up on his time but I went out of bounds because of the slip up. Just before I crossed the line I hit the brakes, giving me a 28.6. I figured I was stopping soon enough to not beat my first lap of 29.1. Anyway, started 3rd with my 29 time.

Not sure how but I got a breakaway at some point, almost made it out but my tires couldn't keep up with my mistakes.

I think the "no-stop" was close but it made the last few laps fun. The last lap duel with Johnny was great.

27.8 ;) My PB of the week by 7 tenths. All the sectors were at least very good and the last 3 sectors went near perfect.

During the race, I lost some composure and spun twice in traffic, the second of which destroyed any chance of a good finish.

Congrats carr, looks like you have the Friday championship pretty much in the bad. Congrats. 👍

It's pretty darn close though, all the cards will have to fall just right for you to catch him. Even though I'm in second (for the moment) I can't imagine I pose any challenge to Carr, but I'm gonna try my hardest to hang on to a season podium finish!. Let's just hope we don't have a repeat of the Alfa season finale.........I promise not to change the starting time! :nervous:

I'm going to try to be around this evening to do some Motegi practice. I'm still not super familiar with the track and could use some more laps under my belt.

I fell asleep early, and never made it back on last night. I should be on for a while this evening, however.
 
The points and results have been updated for all the rounds we've completed so far. It looks like Tuesday is really up in the air and could go to any one of three-four drivers. Carr is likely to be the Friday Champ but the rest of the podium is up for grabs.

Here's hoping that our first official visit to the new track, Motegi Road Course-Full, will produce a battle worthy of the championship title! :cheers:

Take a closer look at Friday. A win from the pole for me would mean the best Carr can do is tie. If he finished 3rd and I win I take it, pole or not. A 2-4, 2-5 finish etc. There are several combinations that can lead to victory. Even if I finish 3rd, if Carr finishes 6th or worse I take it. I have nothing to lose coming from behind, all the pressure is on Carr not to make a mistake, because 1 little mistake, a wheel in the grass, a too agressive pass, any mistake could cost him the title. :nervous: No pressure Carr...lol.

Tuesday is still wide open. A victory by me or Owens or CND could take the title, depending on where the other finish. DSG is still alive but it'll take a solid victory and not so good finishes for the rest of us. Gonna be a heckuva race.

I find Motegi to be a slippery track and I have some difficulty hitting the marks. I've never raced there other than in lower pp sedans one time when it first came out but I don't find the track very wide, so trying to go two wide through the corners will likely cause some carnage. Not nearly as much traction off the racing line either. Going to be a technical race for sure.

As I said, all the cards have to fall just right. I've seen Carr race a few times, he usually doesn't finish too far out of P1. Providing he shows up to the race and performs at his normal level (and doesn't get caught up in somebody else's incident) I'd say you have your work cut out for you. :sly: I know that I don't stand a chance, I'm just hoping I can get a good result and hang on to a podium points finish. :dopey:

I actually wouldn't count you out yet, if JP and I over race it or push the tire wear to far. You have the best shot at it.

And the good news is, I stink at Motegi, I have done 1 race there, I like the T1, T2 but T3 and T4 are evil.

Yea....raced this track very few times..... so me being not so good, will make me be not so good (more). But I'm sure it will be fun.

Love Twin Ring its a fun course to drive ready for tomorrow night no matter how the race turns out.
 
My first time on the course was last night. I do not expect to fully discover the course and be competitive in time, but this is all for fun anyway.
