I actually wouldn't count you out yet, if JP and I over race it or push the tire wear to far. You have the best shot at it.

And the good news is, I stink at Motegi, I have done 1 race there, I like the T1, T2 but T3 and T4 are evil.

Fun practice. I'd give about 70% chance I'm gonna have an off tomorrow, so watch out.
 
I'd say about 95% chance of me dropping off the points podium. I'm absolute rubbish on this track.
 
Good racing tonite folks. This is a challenging course. I am going to swap out the rheostat on my brake pedal and perhaps make a few more laps later on.
 
I sense a whole crapload of sandbagging going on here...I'm not fooled...lol..:dunce:
 
^Not so much. I sucked. Marcus lost a 3-4 second lead in a lap or two.
Tough track to pass w/o divebombing, no real opportunities for bump-drafting. The best strategy - qualify high, stay clean and close to driveкs in front (not too hard, draft is weak but helps) and wait for them to make a significant error and pounce.
If anyone is doing a tire run - I'd like to hear the results, but I suspect a pit will be required to win.
And on the subject of bumpdrafting - some people don't know how ;)

Any BP lap times? I'm sitting on a 04.61, should we be aiming for 04.00?

I've only run a few laps there, but I get the feeling that "I stink" and "04.61" are diametrically opposing statements!!! Sandbagger!:sly:
 
I replaced the brake rheostat. I am in the room for a dozen laps or so to familiarise with the new pedal progression.

Well, I did a tire run. You can last all 23 laps on a single set of tires. You'd be lucky to do a lap under 2:11 after 20 laps. Pit delta, however, is really small at this track so a two-stop strategy could be in play for people who kill their tires quickly or find themselves stuck in traffic w/o passing opportunities. One-stopper is probably a winning strategy.

I had a little over half of my tires left and didn't notice any drastic changes in handling besides power-on oversteer becoming more noticeable. My lap times did start getting drastically higher though, I think I was hovering around the 2:10's where my normal times were in the low :06's. I think one stop will likely be necessary.

In the little practice I had my best was a 2:05.9 and a few low 2:06's and I thought that was a "perfect" lap...lol. Hopefully I get some time to find that extra second I need to be in the hunt:nervous:

Something just came up (my fault), and now I can't race tonight. I really wanted to try and make a few tuesday points back up, and race kingBestJr, but it isn't going to happen now :grumpy:.

I'm still good for friday. Still, can't believe I won't make the last tuesday race.

That is unfortunate car.

The field looks to make for a great race. I will place my best effort upon making the race this evening. I am not in any contention for points, and I wish those of you who are the best of luck.

I will not be able to attend Friday's race, lest there be a disaster of some proportion.

Bring it. I will. Now will I be a challenge for you. Seeing how flying you was at Le Mans I have doubts I will be bringing anything but myself to the race. LOL

Ahh Twin Ring and LeMans two different tracks lol. But i do like Twin Ring lots of practice on the East course from GT Academy hahaha.
 
The ORCA_Champ lounge is open for pre-race practice. Qualifying will start at 8pm EDT sharp.
