BayConRong: I thought it was an onomatoepoeia.

uh.... I'm not a Jew so why would i have my name an onomatopoeia of Bacon Wrong?

man if anyone here actually knew Vietnamese they would say right off the bat what it was... i use this name on everything i do and at the other places i always get someone who speaks fluent Vietnamese.

And i've thought Pako was pronounces Pah-Ko cause my brother's dog is named Paco

What about Pupik? Is it Pewpik, Puhpik or what?
"poop-ik": Yiddish is disgusting like that. Every other word sounds sort of half-dirty.

If someone doesn't know what "berkut" refers to, I could easily see them pronouncing it something like soo-per-burr-cut, instead of soo-per-bear-koot.
The first time I saw it, I thought it said "super-butt-kraut".

This made my day. Not too crispy, though.

Pah-ko, like taco.

Ice-man, like the Top Gun character (only because I was there when he first(?) explained it). Before that it was iss-man (close, I guess).

Kih-kee, "kih" like in "kick." I'll pronounce it key-key now.

Pyoo-pick. I wonder if it's supposed to be pup-ick.

Mine is straightforward, though I've had arcade kids mistakenly pronounce the "e" rather than leave it silent. The suffix on my Live gamertag and elsewhere is preferably just "two X seven," not "two by seven" nor "two times seven."

My favorite example to demonstrate the complexity of our language to non-native speakers when talking to them in person is:

"They're eating their sandwiches over there."

They're over there discussing whether the weather will weather their stone.

And indeed, in my head, Pako rhymes with taco, but taco is pronounced "tack-oh".

"Pay-ko rhymes with mako shark"

That's how I've always thought that's how it's pronounced, partly because usually if there's a vowel then a consonant then another vowel, the first vowel is long, and partly because that's just the way my brain works.

:-)

Some more from me:

Superberkut = SuperKubert, I just read it like that and Don't really think about it, if I see your name I automatically think SuperKubert.

Pako for me is Pack-O, rhymes with Taco. I saw the options but didnt like the first one Pah-ko but thought Pak-O looked more like it.

So then, is it:

Key-key or Kick-ee?
Or Kye-kye?
That's how i always said it in my head ;)
Ive also always wanted to know how to pronounce kikie.... I say Ki-Key :sly:

He pronounced my username correctly in his clip. Listen carefully, he mentioned "kikie" at around 4:42
