PAL Prologue has a 60hz mode

Anybody care to confirm? Because I've just got the new official mag (they gave it 7/10) and in the details section it says

60hz mode yes

My guess is they just rehashed there import review.

OPSM2 seem to be running down GT4 for ages, complaining about how difficult the new handling it is, how people arent going to like unless youre a petrol head, how prologue is jut a cash cow.
How Burnout 3, Juiced and NFS3 are so great.

Also the lack of any Videos of GT4 on the DVD in the past is quite a poor showing from the Official PS2 mag.

Would also like to no if you can have good old MPH?

Well I didn’t before as I just skimmed over the details and score, but after I got home and read it properly, I don’t know what to say... aren’t these suppose to be professional game journalists? Yet they can’t even get down the hardcore facts – Paul Roundell needs firing. Looks like I’ll have to wait and see for myself instead of taking this ass clowns rundown on the game too heart.

Runs 17.5 % faster than 50 Hz or so I've heard - but it does run faster regarding what ever percentage. And it should in theory eradicate the black borders you get in 50 Hz games.

60 hz is just that the screen is updated more often giving a more fluid vibe. Pal has often been 50 hz (ntsc has 60) but has had a higher resolution. But there is no Pal 60. Pal/NTSC is a passe with the old but first now implemented HDTV format.

With gt3 almost having no borders, I presume gt4 doesn't have them too. I still don't see why people are so anticipating this option. The only advantage I can see is that it runs more fluid, but gt3 allready runs fluidly enough. So why should gt4 have it.

In the pal games that I played on 60hz the resolution also decreases, and sometimes the screen streches out. Really, I couldn't care less about it.

Thats My whole gripe with OPSM2.

They trashed the prolugue and GT4 for being a cash in full market game, yet when it was reviewed on import they didnt criticise.

They said Not much of a game here, no one to race against, only school/ license.Blah Blah Ohhhh ITS JUST TOO HARD!

When we all no this is a teaser Demo available in limited quantity and will not be marketed as a full game.

Me thinks they are irked at not getting any inside info Being Official Mag, and they always seem to get everything you see about gt4 posted at planet at least a month or 2 late and at least a month after most other Games mags.

My copy of GT3 had black borders completely around the whole moving image, I really do hope this isn't the case with GT4.

Have not come across any 60hz option in the options, and there is nothing while booting up either. There are practically no borders at all for anyone interested.

Should be receiving mine in 7days on the 28th. Im looking forward to testing out the sound more than anything, i havent bothered putting the volume on my tele up on any PS2 game so far apart from when i drive the Vanquish in GT3. Ive heard the concept M5 is in the PAL release and the M3 GTR?

Well... I always prefer 60Hz and it's a MUST for fighting games. It however makes the picture worse. I get more shimmer and somewhat washed out colour much of the time with 60Hz.

Sure it's better in general overall... But... You win some you lose some...

If GT4's PAL version is as good as GT3's/GTC's then I'm happy. Besides... You can't miss what you've never had.

I've got a MAX but no Prologue, I'm curious as to how a simple code could just unlock it though, it may force a different refresh rate but would it actually change things?
