People, always so concerned over how exploits will affect their fake car economy. Get over yourselves. It's a video game, meant for people to have fun. Lots of us don't have hundreds of hours to play a game to unlock cars...and for many people that type of grinding != fun.
Christ, the amount you people whine about other peoples gaming habits is unreal. As if it affected the way you game in any tangible way other than getting your panties in a knot.
Let me call them.
If you cant see pass tomorrow than your the one that needs a doctor.
Because the game is more enjoyable the harder it is to achieve something (you can read in other forums for example F1 2010 is no fun because the AI isnt a challenge) if you get everything without having to work for it than youll just move on to the nxt game and in the next GT all the cool stuff PD gave us wont be there anymore (birthday cars, backup utility, trading/gifts) and I just hope in the future its an exploiter and not me to get an YLOD in a game with no backup utility for example
Another thing you have a good mate and a good car you want to send him to show your friendship - thats ruinned too (thats what I used the gifts for anyway I never used them to trade)

Well by your theory there shouldnt be trophys or achievements on consoles because we should all cheat to make games easy for those who dont have time to earn them.
Yous are all going on about not having time to play! Well go sell your friggin console to someone who does and stop using that as an excuse for ruining games for people who want to have decent online communities filled with people who want to actually play the games that are sold on shelves these days.....
If you cant play games properly then why play them at all.

They only cheat themselves... you still have the option to earn the X1 the old fasioned way and it will still be as satisfying to you.
The only difference is when you go to show it off, it won't carry the same bragging ability. But if that was your goal then I just don't feel too sorry for you...

Nah I just know that it takes practice to drive the X1 and if everyone thinks they know how to it will wreck it for everyone else ,I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong but I can't see that happening.

Its not that Im worried much about GT5 its GT6 thats begining to worrie me now...
The way people ruin their experiences doesnt bother me much and to be honest I really dont like bragging about achievments in videogames. Its the concequences their actions have on the next videogame and the way it will affect my experience thats whats worrying me

Honest people will host lounges with restrictions.
Cheaters will host lounges without restrictions to drive "their" X2010.
Honest people who will want to drive X2010 will explode cheaters because they can't rapidly drive.

You are talking about this exploit ruining a "feature" that you are using in a way different from how the developer intended it to be used in the first place. Try again.

If I Birthday Exploit a Chaparral 2J for the various historic car races and because I enjoyed it in GT4, with no intention whatsoever of trading it mind you, how does that effect what you do with the game? Do you suffer from so much elitism that you can't even touch cars from popular years simply because other people got them through less than legitimate means?

Well, to be honest, I don't think it would make any difference. The birthday exploit was basically patched except for extreme cases, and this one shouldn't be too difficult to patch depending on how PD wants to do it. I don't think we should expect these ideas to be tossed for GT6 because they have been exploited in GT5 when it is likely that they will both be fixed within a month or so for GT5 anyways.

I dont think its wrong to backup the savedgame data. I just hope that we can still do that after whats happening with this patch.
I would like to have an YLOD in lvl 29 and with about 60/70 expensive cars and I could care less if the other guy has all the cars for free. But if PD didnt include the backup saved game utility its because they didnt want this to happen and people should at least kewep the exploit quiet ad to themselfs- I doubt that the next game will have a saved game backup utility. well we can always do a full backup (1 or 2 hours backing it all up) but if that happens youll know who too blame and its not PD

I fail to see how the ability to protect months worth of hard driving, which also enables some prat with too much time to gift himself cars over and over and over, in anyway ruins GT5 for me.
But thats just me.

I never told anyone how to play there game i asked why play it at all if your just going to cheat, its utterly idiotic to pay £40 for a game your just going to cheat in.
I wouldnt play games if i intended to waste it for myself or others.
All you guys are pro cheating you cant call yourself gamers.

What game are you playing? I go into the lobby nightly and have clean fair races for hours on end. Just meet fair people and race in the lobby of friends.
As far as cheating how does it affect anybody else? The X1 is cool but its arcade. You just don't allow them in your room or you make an event where everybody has one. I want to earn one but just to take it for a spin. It is science fiction to me and really doesnt belong in a sim but since it's only one car then I can accept it for what it is. Something to take for a test drive and say "what if this really existed?" I am pretty sure people that got the game because they wanted a sim won't be spending a lot of time driving the X1. Those people probably spen more time playing need for speed and other arcade games where a cop car is a lambo.
It's really sad.
I second that. I did it once. I was born Nov 69 and I figured I would try and get the cobra. I got a POS vette!! But it took too long I'd rather spend my time driving than creating accounts. I have no problem saying people that do it over and over didn't get the game to drive they got it to collect cars. But they bought the game they can enjoy it how they see fit.
