perhaps GT6 is falling behind.

Wow, 2 cars and no tracks qualify as "quantum leap" in DLC. Incredible:lol: When your standards are that low, I guess anything will satisfy you. By your logic, one single car would have qualified as a "quantum leap" from GT5:lol:
Timescale. So far, in timescale, it's a trillion lightyears ahead of where we were in GT5.

But anyway, I don't really care for constant DLC. I bought the game to drive cars, which is what some people should be doing rather than moaning they're not getting anything from PD (which they blatantly are).

2 cars = a trillion lightyears ahead = quantum leap. Brilliant:lol: You win buddy, I can't compete with that stellar logic:lol:

Like I've said before, for some people a car and a track is enough to have years of fun. For other people, they require more. It seems you fail to understand or accept that the second group exists.

I am also skeptical, but the level of comprehension and sanity in many threads has reached alarming lows. Being "frustrated" is nice, but running in circles all the time and dissolving the actual quality of discussions and community by constant ranting..

I don't know. Maybe I am getting to old for the modern community boards.

Amar, it has nothing to do with getting to old. The problem is that PD got completely disconnected from it's gamers. Yes the only thing people can do is rant and complain because obviously many are not happy since a long time.

People get tired of the rants and people get tired of the defending of GT, so that's why everyone keeps running in circles. Just like politicians... ;)

I think this community added enough, more than enough constructive criticism over the last few years. How many threads have been made with very good information. A lot! And what exactly has been taken to heart by the gamedeveloper, NOT MUCH! So yes, the customer has all the rights to rant, to complain and be very negative about GT.

How much more constructive criticism they want until they finally understand???!!?!!?!

And about the promisses, we can argue all we want but an intensive DLC program was promised and in this department, again they fail to deliver. False marketing all over the place!

PD and the GT series are on / are comming to, an all time low and they are been overtaken on the right and the left by it's competition and new fresh ideas. Fancy graphics are not going to cut it on PS4.

If they don't go in the direction that is highly requested the last 10 years, GT7 will be a huge fail and Kaz will be fired. Sony will not except another failure for it's "Flag Ship"!

Timescale. Timescale. Can you not accept that we've got more new things than 2 cars?

When I said "me", I was referring to me, me alone, and nobody else.

Yes but you were suggesting PD are not liars at all. They are, pretty much every developer does at some point.

https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-6-tracks-dlc-monthly/
0.37''

"Like Kazunori sais, we're gonna have a monthly DLC that keeps adding cars to the game"; "And like i said GT6 as a game will be structured in a way so will be flexibly expand, as a game"

uuuuuuhhhhhhhh

(4 months later)

I'm talking about GT6. Until now, that is ok.

GTPlanet isn't the official site. But suppose....

After release.... yes but from when ? He didn't say.

Personally, I doubt that they can provide a circuit per month.
It take a year to build one track with weather and day/night cycle. I think Taku was a little too excited.

Timescale. Timescale. Can you not accept that we've got more new things than 2 cars?

What are you on about, timescale? We're talking about DLC content here, cars and tracks. 3 in 5 months is not a "quantum leap" over 0 in 5 months. It's a tiny improvement.

When I said "me", I was referring to me, me alone, and nobody else.

Um, I was referring you saying this - "I bought the game to drive cars, which is what some people should be doing rather than moaning they're not getting anything from PD (which they blatantly are)."

So like I said, for some people we didn't just buy the game to drive cars. We wanted more of a game from it. Good for you if that is enough but yeah, for others it's not. PS, most people are not moaning they got nothing, a select few are.

I'm talking about GT6. Until now, that is ok.

Except for the DLC...

GT isn't the official site? He didn't say when? Getting too excited?

It really is one excuse after another isn't it?

But some have. To say that nothing has arrived isn't an opinion, it's false.
You know exactly what I was referring to and that I know full well and acknowledge that some of the material has arrived. However a large amount of it is still outstanding, a frighting amount of what was late and still too come being features that were in GT5 as well.

It's not all that matters but in a racing sim it is clearly a major feature. One that Forza is woefully lacking in.
Now that's entirely subjective, a racing sim (in my option) could have a 1,000 tracks but if the physics are not up to scratch then that number is not worth a damn. Shift 2 with the track DLC is a great example, it had a better track list for many that any sim to date, yet they stuffed up the input control and all those tracks were not worth a damn as a result.

Oh and this isn't a FM vs GT comparison thread, so while I may agree in regard to track count in FM it has very little to do with this thread.

The subject is GT6.
Given that GT6 still has features missing that are in GT5 and that PD set the current pattern with GT5 then its very relevant.

The subject is GT6.
Track DLC ? I don't see on official site, like what it must have a circuit per month ?
Given that PD said exactly that, then its not an unreasonable expectation.

If you read the OP, he specifically mentions tracks. It forms the basis of this thread.
And was that all he mentioned?

No, so attempting to invalidate a point based only on one part of that point is a strawman argument and simply doesn't stand up.

It was directed towards those who lie about not receiving anything.

I've been insulted in more ways than I can count, but no one has ever stooped so low as to call me a "politician". (kidding of course)

Yes, the U.S. Gran Turismo Producer doesn't qualify as an official rep for GT6, and it doesn't count anyway because it was reported on GTP, so yeah, you're right. Plus he didn't say when the DLC would start, so any time is good, 2015, 2016...sure no problem.

If it takes a year to build a track, how did we get 7 new tracks for GT6 + variations and Spa, Kart Space, Motegi etc. for GT5? Sounds like 10+ years of work there.

In comparison to GT5, which is what the quantum leap is in reference to.

Yes, but it's not. That is the point.

GT5 had 0 DLC cars and 0 DLC tracks in the first 5 months.
GT6 had 4 DLC cars and 0 DLC tracks in the first 5 months.

That is in no way a Quantum Leap.

quantum leap

a sudden large increase or advance.

It is a minor step forward.

Why are you limiting it to just cars and tracks? Think of promised features?

I feel sorry for anyone who's still holding out hope that PD is going to offer any additional content for this game. It's blatantly obvious that all the promises PD made are pure BS. I can't think of a single time in my decades of experience with the PlayStation brand that I've been so blatantly lied to.

Because that isn't DLC? They didn't say there would be a quantum leap in updates, they said DLC. Updates are not DLC.

Besides, even if you do include updates there still hasn't been a quantum leap, they're working at about the same pace as GT5 and a lot of the features added were already in GT5, so again no, that isn't a Quantum leap forward.

Like I said in another thread. If it weren't for PD having to deal with hackers from practically the launch of GT6, we might actually get what we paid for. But noooo. People have to say haha PD, were smarter then you, then PD has to stop, and check/change things. Its a vicious cycle that will never end and will further delay the progress of the game.

Like I always say, with the directions video games have gone(as in the early GT's, there was no DLC/Updates, you got a complete game.) "Hurry up and wait" and "Expect the worst and hope for the best".
And the same goes for all new games. Its a shame really.

If you like Forza so much, go play it. To me GT is better even with the horrible delays. Forza is overrated.
If you want GT to become Forza so badly, go get Forza!

Utterly absurd logic from the pair of you.

Simply because people want PD to actually communicate, to put in place plans and actually stick to them and to provide the feature they have stated will be included in the title; and when they fail in some of these areas were are concerned and/or skeptical about PDs ability to deliver on what they promise we should go and play another title?

Any one who has valid concerns about a product should rather than discussing it simply go out and buy its competitor?

Strange as other developers also have to deal with hackers (FPS in particular) and still manage to get DLC out)

It's certainly a good job actual companies do not take this attitude with their customers. Most of them would be out of business pretty quickly.

The only thing I want now is B-spec to come out so I don't have to grind for the Autobarmy trophy I can do other things. I'm sure we will get alot more new things when the senna content releases in may and probably a few trophies will come with it. I'm enjoying gt6 at the moment so but would like them to hurry up on the updates.

And that kinda goes in hand in hand, with my last 2 or so, sentences.(edited my first post pre quote.) Why are games not released complete anymore?

Forza is overrated? Heh, at least that game doesn't lie to all the faces of their fans and they ACTUALLY deliver on time. It's shocking there are still some folks here who'll defend and have faith in PD when can't even keep their word they make. Not only that, they don't even communicate with us...

I've heard so many times people comparing GT to forza and complaining that forza has this and that and GT doesnt...

Come on... GT is GT, and Forza is Forza... People should stop pretending these games have to be equal, because they wont. They are different products made by different developers.
that's a mature response
I think it really is. At least more than creating yet another complaining thread (never seen a thread like this before)

I've said for some time now that PD's problem is they are slow. But they deliver. They have bad delays, but they end up bringing the goods. They dont lie, as far as I know.
