Yes, no demo please, that could easily take a month or two to organize, QA, and distribute. Do not want!

So after 5 years, it's still not here. It was so close that the release could only be counted in weeks not months, but it got delayed, again.

I think as we have been loyal and have shown patience (occasionally) I think we deserve some form of compensation for this final kick in the guts. This right here is a cry for help.

We want one of the demo builds available on the PSN.

Show your support in this thread.

Well Anes, I started a similar thread several months ago. They told me it was useless and they were right.
In any event, I hope your request will have more luck than mine.
I have the feeling that Sony (not PD) should feel a little bit guilty for this delay. If so, there may be a chance they decide to publish on the PSN one of their several demos.
Pleaseeeeeee! I would love even 2 cars on one track, at least we'll train ourselves testing the physics.

To some of the guys here. Sony is a huge company and it is already plenty of GT5 demos. How could this add more delay ? I really can't see it.

It should really go without saying that a demo at this point is a terrible idea but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm sure this petition is being ignored but just for the record please don't even consider a demo.

You guys really dont want a demo version! It's fun for a little while and then its gone. Expecially the demo I played recently was very poor and by this I mean the finishing touches. The names weren't right above the icons, very few car and tracks, and its just missing all the functionality that will be coming to GT5. I would even dare to say people will enjoy it for a week or so and then want the real game. We just need to wait and see how things work out with this one.

I would dl the demo, but i really don't care anymore.

now i can buy the other games due to the GT delay, so i will have plenty to play (MOH, Fallout , the fight, nfs) till gt comes

And now i only believe Gt5 exists if i hold it in my hands

Well if this is all because they really did miss the production date by only 3 days as they claim, and they are just waiting to get a new time slot at a production facility, then that means the game is done and they could easily make a demo without effecting the release date. Not sure if I believe all that though. At the very least, if the game really is done as claimed, they could polish the demo that is in the stores and put it on PSN.

Everything is relative. If the game still makes it out in november or 1st week of december, then fine we will suck it up.
If it's any longer, then they better give us a demo, just to calm our nerves!

Some of us aren't buying any other games besides GT5, so it's not like we can occupy ourselves with another game while we wait...and Prologue is getting seriously boring by now...

PD, Sony, Yamasomething, Standards, Premiums, Locations, Speculate here Speculate there, how can't we just be done with it all? :grumpy:

Yup a demo would ease it a bit. I doubt they give a 🤬 though.

Bah.

"Thread reported"? PMSL! :dunce:

1 track - 1 (not slow) car is all i ask
DEMO

+1 for demo

edit: but a bit better than one car one track :)

As long as they have some demo ready it's not a problem. But I agree, they'll do whatever they planned anyway.

I say hell yes. Give us a Demo on PSN .. Any of the demo builds would do and do super well
I would go so far to say that I will pay a reasonable price for it (just don’t tell them that)

I fully support your Idea my friend and if it would to work me you and all others that supported you should have first dibs on the download ;)

Something like GT Academy with one new car and one new track, with full/final wheel support (G25, G27, clutch, etc) would be ok.

PSN Demo will not happen. But, at least this thread keeps some impatient individuals at bay.

Not to add fuel to a flame, but I'm in for a demo as well.

Way I see it, there are demos of the game floating around as it is. There is NO reason one of these existing (And pretty substantial) demos can't just be put on the PSN.

I won't "sign" the petition because I'll go to my Mercedes Dealer in the coming days and ask the friendly guy I met during the Belgian Contest to put the demo on the Mercedes USB key I won there hehe.:D

I was just thinking this.

If they're going to delay the game then we deserve some compensation = a Demo.

The petition starts here. Quote this post with your details and I will add you to the list.

When we have about 1000 people I'll send it to PD/Sony.

You deserve nothing.

Which is exactly what a petition will get you.

I don't really expect any demo, but if this is really down to manufacturing issues, then PD gots some time on their hands. Just put the Best Buy demo on PSN.

We are the consumers of this product. We pay for this product. Therefore we deserve information regarding WHEN we will get it, ESPECIALLY those of us who have already paid for it.

Thank you.

You're a consumer, meaning you don't deserve anything other then the choice of whether or not to buy it.

Also, nobody has bought the game yet, you simply have given whatever store the money to put aside until it comes out. Buying would mean the money is no longer yours which is not the case as you can always move the money to some other game.

Good idea! The demo can be a sort of compensation

Well this is not a good marketing strategy

I just want the carlist..

I support a petition for a demo to be released on Nov. 2nd

We have learned that game is already done so we are not holding up the game anymore by asking for a demo.

I am assuming the demo that was loaded on some Best Buy PS3's has already been through the PSN QA process and can easily be made available for all PSN accounts by Nov. 2nd

This thread is great and all but we need someone to actually set up a petition if anything is expected to be done. I am admittedly to lazy to start up a petition but I will gladly sign one.

If the rumors are true about it being a mass market production issue and the game has gone gold, I dont see how a demo could delay GT5 even further. Would be nice to get a demo but it is no necessity for me, as long as we keep getting new info and videos about the game I will remain happy:)

GT5P Had a demo, so why not the full game? I'd like to see the menus and how the new features work (Although I assume that the home menu will be like it's PSP counterpart).

However improbable, i like the idea of a Demo.

Moreover, i think that the demo should only be made accessible to those who have pre-ordered the game. Call it an incentive for remaining loyal to the GT franchise despite the unfortunate delay.

1 car, 1 track, online play... i want to tune my G27 in preparation for the final release.
