Personally speaking I don't want a demo, and I won't be buying Prologue either, I want to make Gran Turismo 5 as new and fresh as possible.

All I got to lose is a couple seconds typing, and false hope.
 
Count me in too....I've been stopping by Best Buy and Gamestop on a regular basis to play the GT5 demo. I'd be perfectly happy with that build and it seems like it would be easy to dump as a PSN demo! Keep this rolling!

I've been waiting for that too. Maybe if there was a way to copy it...
 
Would be pretty cool, but I wouldn't plan on it.

By copy it do you mean take the demo from a PS3 in a store without permission?

someone in Europe already took the demo and posted videos on youtube of him playing with a G27 setup. just release the demo to us haha.

They might as well, it'll save me about 2 weeks in prison, still waiting for GT5 :lol:

TB beat me to it but it's not a good idea suggesting stealing a demo especially when the AUP specifically forbids discussing illegal activity.

Because I'm really going to go risk my clean record and school recognition to steal a demo. Wow, a lot more people than I expected that are all dry in the humor department. :sick:

I wish that guy who has the demo (he is French IIRC) would just put it up on a torrent site or something, Because Sony & PD will never do as the consumers ask, its our only option.

I need it. :(
 
No. I don't want a demo. We have a minimal amount of days left compared to the 5 years it has been. I could care less, I have other GT's and games to play. They shouldn't put out a demo just because of the whines.

Absolutely agree with you...


I find it ridiculous to have a Demo for GT5.

This is a Flagship title, it does not need a Demo.
This is not 2nd rank or 3rd rank or unknown game that nobody knows.
A Demo by definition is to attract customer, to gain in popularity..
Do you think GT5 really need that kind of pity give away?


But the main reason is:

I dont want to have a Demo out, which would instantly kill any anticipation we have been having for the past 5 years ...

I want to feel the reward and the pain that we have holding ...waiting for GT5,
I dont want it to be spoiled by a 5 mins tease.

In short, I dont want any premature ejaculations...



Hold your horses gentlemen. We will hit the big O all at the same time.

So after reading through the thread again, I've noticed the attitude of the people who don't want a demo to be "I personally don't want a demo and therefore nobody else should have it either"

Pretty rediculous attitudes if you ask me. Why would you not want the beta. If rumors are true that the problem is with manufacturing, then it shouldn't be much trouble for PD to polish up one of the numerous demos out there and put it up on PSN. As for Kaz saying there will be no demo, he also said the game was coming out on Nov 2. Things happen. And what better way to say sorry to your fanbase then to extinguish some of their thirst.
 
I personally would not like to see a demo released. I have actively avoided the public demo booths as I do not want to play the game in its unfinished form which is what demos are, pre-release non-perfected versions of the final game.

Just hold on, it will be worth the wait!

As opposed to those who do want a demo regardless of the delays it would surely introduce to put together, QA and publish?

What delays, hasn't PD said the game is finished and the rest is up to sony?
