I did what digimods said and my CF still sucks

ae86fa4.jpg

Sorry, but yeah, it does still suck. :indiff:

One good point - the edges are better & neater. 👍

I've never done CF either, might just give it a go.

Well, the tires are way off, the rims aren't right, the grill is extremely blurry, and the cf, along with looking wrong, extends over the hood line... ya

I can't find the tutorial I used but here's what it said:

1. Make a pattern 6x12, with a black to white gradient in each opposite corner (like a BMW emblem) and name it
2. Cut out the part you want to carbonize in a new layer, desaturate and darken it
3. Select the layer and select new fill layer and fill it with your CF pattern
4. Rasterize it
5. Perspective transform it to be in perspective
6. Use the twirl filter
7. Delete everything not in your part

Perfect CF!

Jebus. do you guys remember when i did my first (fake) cf parts? :dopey:

twirl does not = perfect CF. I draw my own in PS. One pixel brush lines in the desired shape i want; erase towards the more-distant parts (with some exceptions to nearer parts) & voila. [LINK to Skyline GTR Demo Image]

Wow suzq. I love the first neon without graphics. Is there a larger version of this? I'd love to use this as my background

meh... works fine for me. Yours looks generally better, but if you look closely you can see the discrepancies.

Apart from the door handles......???

Oh umm dont worry about them :indiff: I was trying to do a 2-door convert but it didnt really work right so i made that up.

Change your perscription on your glasses recently? :cough: mirror :cough:

Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to add the sarcasm tags... I was actually trying to give him a hit to the obvious but ehh... whatever.

IM BACK!!! TL, can you link me to the original picture of that IS? I'd like to take a stab at it!

@suz, I love the SRT-4, and that Skyline demo is just amazing. Looks so amazing!

Hey bro, good to see ya back 👍 Ill get you that IS pick right away :) I just came back from the middle of nowhere so err ye...

Original is at this [LINK] (High-res Warning)

lemme know what you think :D

Nice suzq, you seem to be purchasing a lot of vehicles lately.

The anime dragon doesn't seem to fit the origin of the truck though, lol.

lol.. anime? Its just an eastern-style dragon.. anywho - here is the 'dramatic lighting' version:

Dramatic lighting version looks wicked. Prefer the darker purple shades.

Who draws dragons and has dragons as a big part of their culture, japan. Where does anime come from, Japan.

Dragons aren't just Japanese, but ok. ;)

IMO you should make the reflection a little less transparent
