What do you plan to do about that 3 spd auto? or was it 4? xD

it doesn't have an automatic, u nerd - its got a 5spd manual :sly:

Its going to GET a v6 & a 6spd manual with a rwd conversion soon enough :sly: (twin turbo & body customizing to come later)

as for the looks.. its getting a 'hair' meaner, with the addition of custom hood & bumpers, and some projectors.. might do without the stripes though :D

Umm i dont get this bit:
"where you guys post some car i do in Black and White"
Is it "where you guys post some car AND i do it in Black and White"?

Typo, My Bad...

suzq, how much is it to convert a FWD to a RWD? does it depend on the model?

Short Answer: Yes, it depends on the project, and the vehicle.

Mine is going to be tough, because its a unibody. Unibodies are usually especially tricky and expensive, unless you do it yourself :D.

Luckily for me, the exhaust of the Neon runs right down the center of the car; so i already have space for the driveshaft; I'd have to modify it a little to make the transmission fit; but that shouldn't be a problem, overall. I will probably end up rebuilding the entire floor anyways, because I want to 'bag it as well; so basically, I need room for the shaft to be able to adjust to the air-ride, so modification is pretty much necessary. The rear suspension will probably be completely custom, because it is, as stated, a unibody; the rear quarter panel is part of the frame. So the seats will probably be modified; may just do two seats.. but i still want the flip-down cargo-space so I'm not sure how that will work. It will have a custom audio setup using my PSP as the 'master control'. Security will be done by sentry-key [for those of you who work, they're the little cards & black box-things that let you in your building] I want to put the reciever in my door panel & use the keychain sized sentry key. I will also be replacing the rear key-hole with a "lipstick-camera". Just because I've always wanted to - lol. I have 3-4 ideas on what I want to do with the roof panels; short version: hard-top convertible [center section only], rag-top convertible [same], or a removable shell for shows. i also intend on it being able to drive; so the interior wont be TOO showy - meaning, the audio system isn't going to have much video; however there will be at least 3-4 screens added to the car. Nav inclusive. I'm using all JLaudio components, including the new slim-line subwoofers in the truck. That way I can still USE my trunk. I want to STILL be able to fit a full-size spare in the back. I haven't figured out how, though, with the rear-axle housing etc. potentially in the way. It is going to be subtle, but you will notice. I will have a custom rear bumper, front bumper, hood and potentially side-skirt; although I may use one from the existing aftermarket. That along with the new projector headlights, and full-projector "fogs" which will become my driving lights at dusk. I hate blinding people, and being blinded BY people, so I'm going to use the fogs as the new headlights, and the headlights as auxiliary.. or if the cops bitch - lol. It will be street-legal so far; even in California. I will need to customize the engine bay and firewall slightly to house the v6, intercooler and turbos. So the entire engine bay will look pristine; it will be very smooth - no holes, except for the ones that are necessary for the computer, wiring, steering, etc. All-in-all I think I'll end up only moving the firewall about 4" towards myself, meaning that I will actually be able to sit back and drive the thing-lol[i have short legs unfortunately].

As you can see I've had plenty of time to think about it, and that's not even all that will go into it, I'm not going to spoil the result for everybody. It would be awesome if this thing became magazine-worthy. However, I still use the car as my daily-driver. So I need the car, and can't afford to have him 'down' for months at a time. Not until I get a car or truck I can daily-drive.

Now, before you guys ask "what about the 3 trucks you have NOW?!" The trucks we have now.. I can't drive the flatbed yet, its not SMOG legal for California; and I cant drive the other C10 - thats my bf's daily driver, registered in Georgia & he's the only one with a Georgia license. As soon as he gets the Panel-truck driving, its going to become the daily driver and we're going to send the C10 to Georgia. The other C10 is potentially SOLD.

/long post.. lol

You know whats tons of fun? Replacing head-gaskets on those old neons. yep. :dopey: The coupes are good looking though.

pretty sure he meant just the headlights, because thats the only thing being covered in the kit-design :dunce:

think about it - lol he said "the bonnet hides those ugly lights" .. for those who dont know bonnet = hood. lol

well it took you two posts to get to the conclusion of what turbo was even asking, it's common sense people.

But it was also utterly obvious which lights he was talking about Turbo, but your Australian, so just get me some kangaroo steaks, and it's all good.

:dunce: And diablo, i refuse to get you any steak whatsoever. :)

Well this is my first chop, so i hope i do get good comments and improve my PS skills.... :( :nervous:

(well it looks ugly now, haven't entirely finish the chop yet......)

I also have a question, does anyone know how to paint the car white? I asked turbo lag already, he said suzq044 should know how to do it so i'm hoping i would get a reply from this.....

Muahahahaha no. But ill happily cut you up and serve you to your pet cat :)

I was about to fly over to Australia and kill you. Nobody hurts kitties in my presence without getting a slow and painful death.

Painting a car isn't hard at all mnm_bmx. Just select the whole body and desaturate it. From there you'll need to cut out all the things you don't want changed (windows, lights, etc) then just mess around with brightness settings. The bumper, as well as having to be desaturated, will have to be matched brightness wise to the rest of the car. You may even have to use the paint brush here and there to get it to match.
