as the title says. what does it mean exactly? always just leave it as 0/default i guess. think it goes up to 90 but never really messed with it

It's the minimum level in Bob's physical strength before Bob decides to go to pit, unless tyres/gas are off before that point.

If set to OFF Bob never pits even if he is exhausted - he pits only for tyres and gas.

So far from what I have saw the only place this is actually needed is Nurburgring. I found that if it is off Bob will try to squeeze one to many laps on his tires and as a result looses a lot of time. If set to 30% for my Bob he will pit on the proper lap and get new rubber. The result in lap times is quite noticable and he is much more likely to win the race by pitting at the proper time.

You should generally have it set to off, because if you have more than one bob they all get to a level of tiredness that triggers a death spiral of constant pitting every lap because their level of tiredness is below what's set and they don't have enough time to recover so they just constantly want to change drivers

Oh and for the record try using the search button in future, this question has been asked and answered many times allready, as a bronze member you really should know better

I disagree. For me it is most handy in Tsukuba 4 hours endurance.

Maybe the "constant pitting" spiral thing is a problem for low-level Bobs who don't have strength to last enough until the other Bobs have rested.

So even if the Auto pit-in strenght is set to "0" they'll still automatically pit in?

Yes, if they need gas or new tires.
I usually set it to 10% and just leave them do the race :)

I'm still confused... If it's set to 10% - will Bob pit when his strength is below 10%? Or after 10% of his strength is gone?

if it's set to 10% Bob will pit when his strength drops below 10%

Another thing to remember, pay attention at the end of long races. Ive had my bobs pit on the last 2 laps of a race because they ran out of gas, and didnt take on eough to finish the race. This only happened to me on the FGT series though.

After that, I pitted 2 laps after halfway, filled the tank, and won the other races.

The percentage of the pit strength level correlates with the percentage of the Bob's strength bar. When you're not watching your Bob's race, it's best to keep the pit strength level at 10%, that way your Bob's pit at the same strategy the AI's do. But when you are watching, keep it at 0%, because your there to decide yourself when to allow each of your Bob's to pit

For example, with 10% pit strength level, your Bobs will pit when the strength bar is almost gone, around 90%. With 20%, around 80% gone, etc., etc., etc.

Ok, so I start a new race. Tires are fine, Bob's strength is at max, full tank of gas. Before the end of lap one Bob pits. I was like WTF? So I am sitting there watching him pacing him up with his new set of tires, full(er) tank of gas and full(er) strength bar. Near the end of lap 2 Bob pits again... WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?! So I have to sit there and and at the start of every lap I have to tell Bob to CANCEL PIT or he will pit every single lap...

Anyone else having this problem?

Which Nurburgring race are you talking about?

I leave it off. Bob will pit for fuel and tires and never seems to really get tired.
I have run 1 Bob in both 24 hrs endurance races and never payed attention to what he was doing. Just gave him the keys to the X1, started the race, turned the tv off and returned 24hrs later to collect XP and credits.

Exactly. Although I use the FGT on racing hard tires.

Of course if you want to actually manage Bob yourself, you might want to try different levels especially near the end of the race as other have mentioned.

I think HBR-Roadhog is talking about the 4H ring endurance.

Your Bob just needs a break. Take him fishing and don't bring him back. lol

Make sure to never use PIT STRATEGY in long endurance races, 24hrs at LeMans for example. If you do, you'll have the BOBs pitting on every lap.

You spelled "already" wrong, I expect better.

So someone explain if bob pits because of loss of strength what happens when he pits driver change? Sorry I haven't tried a race with pits yet.
