Will you be buying a digital or hard copy of the game?

Hi!

First of all I would like to say hello to all gamers and racing fans in here as this is my first post on this forum!

I have an odd question (I think) regarding digital vs hard copy of games in general.
I remember reading somewhere, about a year ago or so that digital copies could in fact be slightly worse (even if very very little) when it comes to quality of graphics and such. It of course sounds like a load of bull**** but yet it has stuck to my mind since.

I'm asking this as the PS4 limited edition is practically impossible to buy in the country where I live. Hence I'm leaning towards the digital copy so that I get all the extra cars and so that I can pre download the game on the 6th.

Can someone please ease my worries? :)

Thanks!

Indeed there is absolutely no difference between a hard copy and its digital counterpart.
Well, there is one: in the case of Project CARS you get extra cars by buying on the Stores.

just be wary that some games require PSN to be up and running before you can play, like Dragon Age, for example (and probably all other EA games). most games will be fine, but if PSN goes down there will be some issues. in terms of quality, no, it'll be the same as a disc.

Job done 👍

The Xbox One store still says bundle only which is starting to worry me it should be available to pre order now like it Is available to pre order on the PSN store..

Just joined the club and pre-ordered mine on PSN :D for download (my first download-all have been disc before but I want to swap between this and DC without swapping discs all the time) looking forward to it now

Can you get that same LE content on a physical copy? Im planning to get mine from GAME on the 8th as i have a tenner off.

For those who have experience with Digital Copies... I wanted some clarification and the best answer I could find on Google was from 2013, so I wanted to ask.

We have 2 PS4's in the living room. One attached to my main TV, the other to a secondary TV. When I'm home alone, or at least have the living room to myself, I play on the big TV, but when others are around, I let them use the big screen for TV, movies, etc and I use the smaller TV, or visa versa. Am I correct in the understand that if I purchase the 'digital copy', that these PS4s will no longer be universal to all users?

With a physical copy of the game, it doesn't matter who uses which PS4. They swap the disc to the PS4 that's convenient, log in to PSN and can play. With the digital copy, if I'm reading correctly, only 1 of the playstations will be universal (primary) and the other PS4 (secondary) will ONLY be able to play the game through my main PSN account.

Is this correct? If so, I'll be rather unhappy that I'm likely going to be 5 days late to the cool kid party. :(

You can play the digital version on both PS4's. Will you be using one account or two different ones?

3 of us use the playstation(s) for gaming. As I read it, the main account (myself) will be able to play on either playstation. But the secondary accounts (roomates) will only be able to access the game on a single PS4(the primary console). Meaning the digital copy is at a major deficit for this type of living situation.

I just tested it with a digital game and it worked.

You need 2 of the accounts to game share. This means you need to log in on your roomates ps4 and set your account as the primary account for their ps4. Your roommate then needs to log in on your ps4 and have their account be the primary one on your ps4. You then can download a digital game to both ps4's. Then the third roommate should be able to log onto either system and play the game.

A few notes.
- you will undoubtably mess it up the first time just like everyone else does (and I did)
- you must deactivate your account as the primary on your ps4 before you can activate it as the primary on your roomates
- the whole primary account thing doesn't affect what ps4 you can sign in on, so you would be able to use your account on both ps4's
- in order to share a digital game you have to log into the account that purchased the game to download it, after it has started downloading you can log back into your account

Could someone please be kind enough to confirm for me what Additions to the standard game in the shops I will get now I have purchased a bundle download copy on psn and will there be any LE tracks (obviously now not the lovely steel case I had my eye on!). I have read so much now- I am a bit confused. I will also help out sms and be buying the season pass but I can't find a selection for that 👍 Appreciated

Unless someone didn't pick up their LE copy then no. If you don't pre-order then you won't get the modified car pack either.

You should get the modified car pack and limited edition pack. Check projectcarsgame.com for all the info 👍

nice and easy then :D

Is there a deadline to pre-order the games at the other retailers? with still nothing on the US PlayStation Store (with 2 weeks till release), I dont want to lose out on the other options if it never makes it to the US store. I dont understand the hold up and the utter silence from Sony is really sad.
