Look, I know there are already a few threads like this, but none of them have a poll. This is only for research purposes. So, do YOU think a livery editor should be in GT5? Yes or no?

GT5? No. Far more important things to do first.

Future games in the series? Absolutely.

Where is the poll?
I rather have more a-spec events but a livery editor would be rather nice.

Got Poll? because I have a fever.. and the only prescription/is more cowbell

It would be nice, but as long as there is an option to turn it off.

I don't really want to see poorly made liveries from MS Paint roaming around online.

Too late in the day for GT5 (even though I'd still welcome its inclusion) but for future games definitely; Kaz has said it's something that's on their list so it's coming.

Just hope it's sooner rather than later.

Yeah this. Online has enough problems. Can you imagine having to load up everyone's liveries? 90% of them would probably be ugly. An option to turn off liveries would be crucial. Certainly there would be some very artistic people out there, but I think there are plenty of more important things PD could be working on: e.g. black screens at Daytona; having to set the image dimensions everytime you take a picture; being bumped back to GT life after you finish a seasonal; different online and offline physics; the inability to race seasonals offline; etc. I think that they have already wasted too much time on the racing helmets and suits. Do these really add that much to the racing experience? How often do you see someone's racing suit or even helmet...unless they are in a rare convertible? Such extravagances are unnecessary and should only be attempted after every necessary thing or bug has been worked out. Next thing you know they will have personalized floor mats.

No, only if it were limited.. What people did to their cars in Forza 3 made me sick.

Of course, you guys that say no really don't have a clue. There is absolutely no reason to not include a feature like this in a game such as GT, and I don't wanna hear any silly argument such as "Well I don't wanna see some stupid design on a car!" Too bad, that's an unfortunate side effect, but the sheer potential of having anybody able to make brilliant designs far outweighs that.

Though that earlier post about being able to turn them off is also a great idea. :P

So meh, there's my 2 cents.

Most of the people who asked for a livery editor never ever asked for those borderline useless suits, it's PD fault, not users fault. I tell you something folks, you can paint and add stickers to your car even in iRacing and iRacing is still a better sim than GT5, so don't try with the "it's a driving sim not an arcade game" excuse because it makes no sense.

"Well I don't wanna see some stupid design on a car!"
As someone said, just add an option to turn the liveries OFF -> Problem solved.

I would love to be able to design my own livery, being able to have my own unique car online would be fantastic! Also would love to see a wheel shop like in gt3, that had hundreds of different rims from countless manufacturers, I would pay for both as dlc

Livery editors work 2 ways, You have the good like my Ferrari (well good for me even though it looks horrible) then you have some car with a naked women Hitler on the side of it.

On a side note how are forza allowed to have so much copyrighted material on their storefront and auction house without these companies suing?

Me... as A artsy person I would love one.. But honestly they should keep it until GT6 and focus on other things

I quoted that in my post. :P That would be a nice feature.

I would like to, but only limited to sponsor decals and some racing stripes. Not like the one from NFS street racing or Forza. Where you can create offensive or inappropriate pictures. I would hate to tailgate someone with P@!## on the back.. It's very distracting IMO.

This 👍

Yes, but save it for GT6. :)

Yes, but only if it does not affect the timeline on other efforts, eg. more tracks, cars, drag (maybe?), etc.

So Yes, at a low priority. :)

Main problem with this would be same is problem in FM series, for example, you have wicked stripes and nice paint job, but what comes to happen with damage modelling, it is absolute joke in FM, scratches there and there does make cars look hilarious. (not to mention the pixels that appears when decal is "damaged")
And Decals are like stickers, so it must be a headache for PD to make those act like supposed to

Livery editor would be really good but with limitations (we dont wanna see body parts painted)

I would love to be able to say, add stripes to a car. It would give tuners a way to make their cars more unique. However, there are more fundamental changes that could be made. So,
Yes, but save it for GT6. :)

Think the poll shows a pretty foregone conclusion that one is wanted.

i picked Yes, but only IF there are limitations (Decals only, etc.) it should let you put company decals that you see around the tracks on you car and it would work the same way TDU2 paint shop works :)

Livery should be at the bottom end of the priority list. It's just a gimmicky feature. Adds nothing to overrall core gameplay
