Livery should be at the bottom end of the priority list. It's just a gimmicky feature. Adds nothing to overrall core gameplay
Yeah, suits and helmets add so much more to the game.

That's exactly why I started one, that way so I could say for sure that the people that want it outnumber the people that don't want it.
Everybody REMEMBER, if you want a livery editor, vote for it here: http://feedback.gtplanet.net/forums/96709-gt5-feedback/suggestions/1429381-livery-editor?ref=title

Gimmicky feature? Are you serious? What else could be added to "core" gameplay other than a few more cars and tracks?Livery should be at the bottom end of the priority list. It's just a gimmicky feature. Adds nothing to overrall core gameplay
Awww, you just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!Just for that Sir if we did get one and we can share them Ill personally try to make one for you![]()
Think the poll shows a pretty foregone conclusion that one is wanted.

Like I've said before, what people don't recognize is that we wouldn't need an RM button if we had a livery editor. All that is keeping that 1300 kg 700 hp Mustang in your garage from being a racing machine is a livery editor. Doing it yourself saves PD time and money, and in the long run it would be simpler for PD to give us a livery editor than create 1000 more RM cars.only 16 of 1000 cars can be turned into track machines. Expand this. Take it to all premiums first. Then expand the feature itself. Make a basic RM that is more akin to what is done in real life, minimal body work, bolt in roll cages, etc. The current RM would be the upper echelon tube frame, fiberglass body, full fledged rave cars.
Expand this feature to promote further customization without doing something completely different while leaving already incorporated ideas underdeveloped.
Introduce different schemes for both tiers of RM and allow players to choose multiple colors for said schemes. For instance, the Corvettes have a two color scheme but the black must always remain black. Let us change the color. As this is expanded, we will inch closer to the livery editor people want.
In short, do not introduce another idea that will not be complete. Instead, finish and improve current features to achieve similar results. This will further polish the game and give more control to the player without going into uncharted (for PD) ground.
SimonKI mean in real life people can ruin their cars in various ways that you might not like, does that mean you think they should be banned and everyone drive around in stock looking cars?
I will grant Forza one horrendous advantage over Gran Turismo: the ability to add bodykits and liveries of your own design to any sports car, and turn it into a race car suitable for a number of racing leagues just shy of doing full on chassis conversion and axle widening. This is just huge, and the only real reason I kept going back to the Forza series.Like I've said before, what people don't recognize is that we wouldn't need an RM button if we had a livery editor. I know I'll end up using it no more than a handful of times. But that's just me. Can't see why it shouldn't be in the game.
If PD's excuse is being classy and different than other games, it's utter nonsense (like many of their other excuses).
I said no only because like any team, PD has limited resources. This feature is not important to me personally, so personally I would prefer they spent their resources developing other features. This is merely a matter of priorities to me, and a livery editor is not one of my top priorities. I would hope that it eventually makes it's way into the GT series though.

I just did a tune/paint job to reflex purple/aero on an R8 and, honestly, it looks nice... it handles really well... but, damn, what I would not give to have some "sponsor logos" and so on for the car, just to make it look like a race machine... in Forza, the majority of my "paint jobs" consisted of just adding sponsor logos to make it slightly more realistic. It's not a necessity, but it would definitely be a nice addition.

Oh I forgot, new visuals and 20 more hp.The RM cars are more than new visuals.
