a step in the right direction would be giving prize money for doing arcade mode races.
its much better than grinding the same events over and over...
Also to OP, I was looking at your pictures and don't you think that the Race editor would be under tools? Tools seems like the perfect place to put it.
its much better than grinding the same events over and over. But I don't know why you say its boring anyway.
But if you got money at least it would have a practical application. The arcade mode now is boring, as boring as A Spec races.
GT PSP Career Mode is what every GT game needs.
Polyphony did it PERFECTLY years ago.
Now they just need to repeat what they did PERFECTLY and everyone would be happy.
And in respect to heritage of the Series, Event Creator should open once the final race in S group is finished (as it was in GT2).
something quite encouraging is the response to @ron86 's thread for asking Taku some questions.Event Creator was a HEAVY hitter, and became the top question to be asked...
That's what makes my PSP alive most of times, the marvelous Race Creator on GT PSP... Choose the mode, your car, the track, the level of rivals AI and then it determines how much it'll pay as prize. It is perfect.
...I think a good first step would be to bring GT5's arcade mode back and then would could atleast have a fun one off race that goes longer than 24 minutes.
to bring the lost features back from gt5 arcade to gt6 is a "good" first step...if pd has no intention of presenting us with the FULL tool. i dont dislike arcade as it is now, arcade is as arcade should be, simple. what i dont like is not having other options to create an offline race. without them the content/features (that already exit) are underused, the gameplay isnt optimized and the brand wastes an easy oportunity to value itself by forgeting to bet in the first number (i see a "race creator for..." as a number one feature to add in a racing game like gt).
Arcade is completely useless as it is now for me. Back in GT5 I would do a 30 lap race at spa against 16 cars that are all similar in performance and it would be really fun but in GT6 arcade a 30 lap race would be horribly boring.
It was the most interesting question, what a disappointment !

Perhaps we will be able to use AI cars in online mode ? And that's why he answered that ?

...Not sure what the percentage in the garage screen means, but there are a few things that would be interesting to see:
The cars condition (oil, rigidity, etc, perhaps in %)
The current value of the engine detuning.
Here's how I interpret the view you get from 'change car':
Green car: Good to go.
Yellow car: Would qualify if modified (detuned, change tires...)
Red: Cannot qualify (might be that it's a 'normal car' event and this is a 'race car')
Well, Im start to giving up them and thinking about getting something different.
They are really messing up.
- it is about oil, rigidity, etc in % - all individualy and all toguether in PP and HP
- as you say, the engine detunes, its power may decrease over time, even to some point that it will never be restored to original power - % is about that, knowing our car current "heath"
- green=98/100%, yellow=88/97%,red=0/87% "health"
- when selecting a car from garage we would be seeing if the car is 100% or needs a visit to gtauto first.
- % its also importante to have competitive races. ex: one-make races, all cars enter with same power.
i care for the brand but what would be of GT if asseto corsa(ps3/4) and Pcars(ps3/4) were already in stores back in november 6? might be wrong, because i dont know much about racing games history, but i'm under the impression they are all copying GT formula/concept. might be an ilusion but it sure looks like everybody is overtaking PD. f1 cars, race creators, graphics, next gen, real tracks, livery editors, ...
...I'd also like to see what the power limiter is set to without going in to the setup.Let's say I've run a 500 PP race and I detuned a car from 530 PP to enter. Now if I forget to reset it I won't pick that car to do a 550 PP race.
I like your red/yellow/green idea, and in addition to your idea there could be a second set of lights or another way of saying if a car is potentially in range for the event. So that I can see cars with too much PP in yellow, let's say there's a 500 PP event and I have a car with 510 PP, then I might want to limit the power and race that car. As it is I miss those cars.
I care about the brand, or at least I used to, but that wont make any difference. Caring or not, PD wont listen, PD dont care, so, Im slowing ask my self: If they dont care, why should I?
Guys, at GT suggestions area, there is an event creator thread. Please, vote there by bringing your like, and supporting to make this become more visible to PD:
