do you want a race creator for career mode?

Also to OP, I was looking at your pictures and don't you think that the Race editor would be under tools? Tools seems like the perfect place to put it.

a step in the right direction would be giving prize money for doing arcade mode races.
its much better than grinding the same events over and over...

- as gt6 is now, i also think arcade should have credit rewards. the in game economy is hard and to repeat the same races over and over is very boring. with arcade we would have some sense of new, different.
- if we hade the "race creator for..." arcade should remain untouched. its part of gt history and a valid race format. would be there as a pre-set way to race, those who like it can go directly to arcade instead of "race creator for..." where they would have to choose all those parameters again and again.
- the "race creator for..." can also be used to creat single races (option:dont save in career mode/save in career mode/save in career mode as...), but here we would have all the other options arcade cant provide, credit rewards included.

i also thought that first time and would still be fine but, along with more complex races, the "race creator for..." can build races like arcade, casual races just for the moment. the option to save race/championship created in career is just an option and "arcade" is also a "race creator"(just very limited). they share the same nature so, now, to me, seems more natural to have "arcade" and "race creator for..." in the same place. in my eyes, being close they add value to ich other.

You can already get money on the boring A Spec races, a boring arcade with money wouldnt make big difference.

though not posting anything, there are a lot of members liking posts and voting yes. every time this thread is in the front page we get around 5 new yes votes and the more we have of them to show, the better. the poll ends feb 20. wouldn't you really like to make PD sure about how much this tool would improve GT for us and the brand itself.

if your voting yes, a 👍 is enough to keep the thread visible. thanks

GT PSP Career Mode is what every GT game needs.

Polyphony did it PERFECTLY years ago.

Now they just need to repeat what they did PERFECTLY and everyone would be happy.

And in respect to heritage of the Series, Event Creator should open once the final race in S group is finished (as it was in GT2).

That's what makes my PSP alive most of times, the marvelous Race Creator on GT PSP... Choose the mode, your car, the track, the level of rivals AI and then it determines how much it'll pay as prize.

It is perfect.

In GT5 the arcade mode was excellent with 16 cars which were all LMP's if you used an LMP or all GT's if you used a GT etc. All the cars would start very close and they were quite fun to race against if they had a pp that was a bit higher. But now in GT6 the arcade is absolute crap with all the cars starting miles away from eachother, a mix of cars with about a 150pp difference and only 10 cars. I think a good first step would be to bring GT5's arcade mode back and then would could atleast have a fun one off race that goes longer than 24 minutes.

as i said in my last reply; one day in the front page and the yes votes went from 222 to 231.

something quite encouraging is the response to @ron86 's thread for asking Taku some questions.Event Creator was a HEAVY hitter, and became the top question to be asked...

:) im also waiting for the answer... i hope PD answers!!

gt psp race creator, pd private race creator for career mode and seasonal events, gt6 online race creator...
i think the tool already exists, all it needs is small adjustments to fit gt6.

to bring the lost features back from gt5 arcade to gt6 is a "good" first step...if pd has no intention of presenting us with the FULL tool. i dont dislike arcade as it is now, arcade is as arcade should be, simple. what i dont like is not having other options to create an offline race. without them the content/features (that already exit) are underused, the gameplay isnt optimized and the brand wastes an easy oportunity to value itself by forgeting to bet in the first number (i see a "race creator for..." as a number one feature to add in a racing game like gt).

Arcade is completely useless as it is now for me. Back in GT5 I would do a 30 lap race at spa against 16 cars that are all similar in performance and it would be really fun but in GT6 arcade a 30 lap race would be horribly boring.

one-make races is the feature i miss the most.
some cars in some tracks were very challenging.
ex: aventador at tokio worked very well for me, top 4 laping in the same second is very good, real racing!

I'm desperately awaiting a reply to @ron86 's questions he has asked, the one about the event creator, I hope we get a positive reply. :nervous:

However I fear if it’s a straight "No were not getting it" then all i will have to look forward to is the return of Shuffle Racing for Online. Now if shuffle doesn’t come back then GT6's future to me is looking pretty stale. < just my personal opinion

We just need to keep making enough noise about this Event Creator and hopefully PD will listen, take note and finally give us what we want. (fingers crossed)

- past some mileage engines cant be restore to their original power so knowing if our car engine is 100%, is importante to have competitive races (ex: one-make races, all cars should have the exact same power annouced at dealership)
- cars (without any mods) shouldnt get more power than announced at the dealership

ron86: 3ºQ - "Is there a possibilty of an "event creator" in a future update for the offline mode in Gt6?..."
Taku Imasaki: 3ºA - "Much more updates to come over the next weeks/months for GT6, with regards to the online community feature updates!"

ron86's thread isnt very clear about this being Taku's answer to the "event creator question" and i hope its not because if it is, he just ignored the question and us offliners.

update: ron86 confirms this is Taku answer to an "event creator for the offline mode".
he just ignored the offline side of a question that hade nothing about online or am i misunderstanding the answer?

It was the most interesting question, what a disappointment !

<hope mode on>
Perhaps we will be able to use AI cars in online mode ? And that's why he answered that ?
</hope mode off>

I stand behind all your ideas of upgrading the game.
Event creator should be very simple to implement. Just a matter of picking a track and 1-15 cars and go race.

Not sure what the percentage in the garage screen means, but there are a few things that would be interesting to see:
The cars condition (oil, rigidity, etc, perhaps in %)
The current value of the engine detuning.

Here's how I interpret the view you get from 'change car':
Green car: Good to go.
Yellow car: Would qualify if modified (detuned, change tires...)
Red: Cannot qualify (might be that it's a 'normal car' event and this is a 'race car')

- it is about oil, rigidity, etc in % - all individualy and all toguether in PP and HP
- as you say, the engine detunes, its power may decrease over time, even to some point that it will never be restored to original power - % is about that, knowing our car current "heath"

- green=98/100%, yellow=88/97%,red=0/87% "health"
- when selecting a car from garage we would be seeing if the car is 100% or needs a visit to gtauto first.
- % its also importante to have competitive races. ex: one-make races, all cars enter with same power.

Well, Im start to giving up them and thinking about getting something different.
They are really messing up.

i care for the brand but what would be of GT if asseto corsa(ps3/4) and Pcars(ps3/4) were already in stores back in november 6? might be wrong, because i dont know much about racing games history, but i'm under the impression they are all copying GT formula/concept. might be an ilusion but it sure looks like everybody is overtaking PD. f1 cars, race creators, graphics, next gen, real tracks, livery editors, ...

I like those ideas. I'd also like to see what the power limiter is set to without going in to the setup.
Let's say I've run a 500 PP race and I detuned a car from 530 PP to enter. Now if I forget to reset it I won't pick that car to do a 550 PP race. I like your red/yellow/green idea, and in addition to your idea there could be a second set of lights or another way of saying if a car is potentially in range for the event. So that I can see cars with too much PP in yellow, let's say there's a 500 PP event and I have a car with 510 PP, then I might want to limit the power and race that car. As it is I miss those cars.

I actually dont know where to look because I never did real search about the others. The guys who does the review doesnt look if the game has an event creator or not.I was just thinking...

I care about the brand, or at least I used to, but that wont make any difference. Caring or not, PD wont listen, PD dont care, so, Im slowing ask my self: If they dont care, why should I?

i see your point, could be donne just by changing the PP numbers color, white when 100%, yellow when less than 100%. i've updated the picture.

i think it could be donne the same way as above, by coloring PP numbers
