I just hope they have the 2012 911 Carerra S!

And that they include these two beauties as well!

Porsche will surely want their latest 911 in the game considering it's such a high profile addition to the game getting Porsche back.

It's Porsche's IP so I don't know if EA could block it, especially as Porsche will want the free advertising.

Something tells me 2012 cars won't happen. Maybe another DLC pack later on.

Hasn't it already been stated that this DLC will be it for Porsche in FM4? So if there's no 2012 911 in this pack, then there won't be one in this game at all. So I would be very surprised if it's not in this pack.

Stated as rumor perhaps, I don't recall T10/Dan saying that it's the end all of Porsche at this point.

I don't see that in that interview, but if it's true, I'm doubly sure I'm not gonna pay for the Porsche pack in FM4. Any link for this?

If you're not into arcade style "NFS-the run" style games I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. I have doubts horizon will be a sim-style game. fm4 will probably be the only way to race porsche around a track, if the open world/point-to-point style gameplay the trailer looks to be hinting at is anything to go by.

I really liked The Run. Pretty much every aspect of gameplay other than the driving sucked, but the roads were great (if reused), the car selection is nice, and the physics are the best the series has seen since Porsche Unleashed.

I'm no realism snob, unless a game claims realism. I just want physics that are consistent and predictable/intuitive...a pretty rare thing, sadly. Also I'll take an open road over a track anyday. I've been playing open-road driving games since I could reach the pedals on an OutRun cabinet.

So I'm fairly certain it'll appeal to me. :)

Forza Horizon could be great if it went with an open world approach and FM4's physics engine. And I don't see a reason to not use it.

I think they'd be daft to not use the Forza engine - its not as if FM4 doesn't have any casual control options already using that physics engine.

You seem easy to please, I bet Turn 10 wished all their potential customers were like you :D
Well slap a "sim" label on your game and I'll be ruthless. ;)

But I see no logic in eschewing "arcade" games just because they're not sims. I've owned more arcade games than sims over the years, primarily because I don't care for purpose-built racecars or tracks as much street cars and roads (which casts out the vast majority of PC sims), and also because my definition of "sim" is strict.

Forza Horizon could be great if it went with an open world approach and FM4's physics engine. And I don't see a reason to not use it.
I agree and hope that's what we're getting. It's not like FM4's engine is too hardcore to be accessible to everyone, particularly with its assists.

Porsche 917 please T10. You know you want to.
Actually the recent Ferrari 312P DLC has a very similar back end to the 917.
Knowing about T10 open wheeler woes, they seem to have found a decent way of portraying a semi open wheeler.

I think that Ferrari DLC was a tester for the 917.
Well I hope anyway lol.

I'm really hoping that T10 decides to start revealing cars after the April pack goes live. I would hate for them to do the usual "wait until a week before it is to be released" to release the details.
