Porsche in GT4! ...Probably won't happen but hey, roll on.

Not all are imo exotics, but then imo Porsche isn't exotic, far too common to be exotic.

HMM, the AC Ace is in, yes it has a rumbling 427 cu. in. Ford powerplant and driven by a soutnern former chicken-ranch owner and LeMans winner who wears a cowboy hat, but it still handles like an Ace :D
 
does anyoen knwo if Ruf did anything in the shape of the Carrera GT chassis? I heard they made a beast, but I don't know where to start looking.
 
Do you really think Porsche would sell that body shell before they've actually sold any of the proper version yet?

Ruf's are usually a year or so behind the porsches so wait until this time next year for something like that.

I don't think there will ever be an Ruf version of the Carrera GT. Especially since Ruf has their own supercar in development. anyway the mechanicals in an Ruf are new, but the bodies are older ones.
 
Thanks, I wasn't sure if they had. I knew they had made a new car, and some unreliable sources claimed it was based on the Carrera GT, but I have been unable to find any pictures/info on the topic.

...quite what this has to do with Porsche i don't know!?

I hope the new Ruf supercar(R50?) is in the game - from what i've heard its got a mid-engined chassis not a porsche one, but uses the engine from the Turbo R, it must be close on performance to the Carrera GT.

^ The R40 looks fairly Carrera GTish to me. Although that Grey-Blue ain't the nicest colour. And yes, would be a sweet addition to GT4.
 
...i remembered NFS-porsche(PC-version) and the roof of the boxster which u could open and close before the race(in ur garage)!!!...so i wish that u can choose if u want to drive ur 3400S (or other cabrios)open or closed and that u can switch btw. open and closed as u could do in NFS-porsche!!!

Im sure it will be amazing to drive but theres something about the way it looks that just doesnt do it for me............ I think it is just too retro lookin. NE1 elses opinions?

I did not wanted to start a new thread about it so I will put it here, because it's been discussed earlier. đź’ˇ

I definitely agree with Cobragt about the possible presence of Ferrari and Porsche in the game, that means PD is just waiting the EA license to expire in November and release the game after. In fact, I think there are or have been negociations between F, P and PD that probably lead to a license contract for the GT series. KY just said they won't be here because he could not say it without being sued by EA or also maybe because the talks are still under way.

But anyway. I'm convinced there may be Ferrari and Porsches in GT4.

At this point, PD showing us ferraris, and porsches in a gt4 product that gets you ready for the real thing......I would bet they were in. PD showed us those cars, to tease us? Or to prepare us for them? Time will tell but I remember seeing a Mine porsche. And I hear that there's a gallery of ferrari pics in gt4p pal.
 
But your still only left with your opinion, and I believe your reading too much into that day out for tyhe PD staff, they had a day out and recorded it. Somoene like Phantasm will be more optomistic about this but I don't think he could be as optomistic as you two lol. I hope they are in though because both marquees are brilliant and although they won't be neccisary to make GT4 a good game they will add to it.
 
i'd like to see Porsche in gt4. i think it would be awesome to see the GT1.
 
PD are saying they want to represent the history of the motor car using GT4 as the tool.
This would be incomplete without the Porsche or Ferrari brands.
Several licenses expire in November 2004 for gaming rights to certain cars.
PD has announced that GT4 will be available late Nov 2004.
PD has video footage in GT4 Prolouge of above said cars.
Can we read anything into the above facts? I do not know the answer.
When would the best time for PD to confirm or deny this?
If the answer was no then PD would be best to say something sooner rather than latter so as not to mislead the loyal followers.
If the answer is yes I would expect them to announce this fact at game release to maximise the exposure of these most wished for car brands being in the game.
It is all speculation of course, but we may be lucky.

So you're just gonna ignore the fact that he's already said no and therefore hope that it's a Yes in the end...

I think we all want these cars in... and there will be a day late in November when we actually find out whether or not they are in.

This "argument" has been going round in circles since the release of Prologue!!
