Has anyone noticed that the GT2 case has the interior of the McLaren F1. Yet there is no McLaren in the game.

Yeah, I have no idea why they chose to use it for box art without putting it in the game. A very stupid move on their part. They should have at least blocked out the F1 logo on the gauges. Doh :ouch:

Anyway, I noticed that near the end of the Celica ST205 GT-Four's info page there are all kinds of spelling and grammatical errors. This is just me nitpicking, but it was very strange.

When you break out of Laguna Seca or Motorsports Land, you can come across several different versions of the same track. When you try to drive on them, they dissappear. What are these copies? Are they simply botched, incomplete tracks or something else?

I dont know if this is already been spotted, if it has please don't flame I do apologise, but...go to the Rome 2 hours enduro. On the screen showing the prize credits for each position and the options to either see a preview or enter the race etc, look at the title of the race. It says it's called the Rome Millenium 2-hour race, or something such. Now look at the little logo next to the title. This says "Rome Mirenium 2hour...etc'

OMG EVERYONE GET YOUR FLAMETHROWERS OUT! WE GOT A FLAMERAMA HERE !!!! HOPE YOU GOT YOUR KELVIN-SUIT ON MR 787B....YOUR GONNA NEED IT!

just kidding dude. Actually, i think this may be a new find...i don't think it's been mentioned in this thread! Then again, look at the SIZE of this thread. Even i haven't read the entire thing i don't think!

I have noticed that when you are back of AI, like 6'th then AI is ultra slow and you are 1'st again in no time. But when you are 1'st then AI is like just couple milliseconds away from you. Whats the deal with that?

Did everyone read that article in which Kazunori admitted some GT races do, indeed, feature the catch-up, or "rubberband" effect? He even went into short detail about how it works, although i'm forgetting the specifics. Basically, the Ai car's grip increases (among other things), which helps them of course drive better. 👎

On the one hand, it makes GT2 very exciting because you're guaranteed a closer race between multiple cars (assuming you don't simply overkill with huge amounts of power). On the other hand, it ain't realistic at all! :boggled:

I can see and appreciate both sides of the coin :indiff: cuz i had plenty of fun fun fun intense races in my GT2 days. On the other hand, i dig GT4's more realistic approach.

I'm surprised they actually cheated with the AI car specs. You can do some rubberbanding just by changing the driver skill model. E.g. simplest is to just limit or increase top speed.

But then again, I now recall there is also a weird power multiplier in the GT2 AI car ("garage") entries.

Well once i think it was on the arcade disc on a Rome full course,at the second last corner i was trying to slide by the guardrail/barrier with an Escudo to see if it´s any advantage compared to proper steering (don´t hate me :D) and i actually drove through the barrier and got to... nowhere.Pretty much like when you drive out motorsports land as what i´ve seen from the pics (i never got to drive there).I can´t remember correctly but i think somehow then car was "catapulted" back on the track again. I got stuck in the same barrier once too. so that´s all.

haha! interesting....

I don't see this mentioned yet:

I base this on my memory, but I believe ,
that you could put a intercooler on Viegert Vector (name can be wrong a little)
The intercooler could be only eguipped thru purchase-> instant install.
removing the part in setup menu resulted as being unable to put it back.
And yep, it increases the BHP of the car when installed.

Whoa...both fact interesting guys. I wonder if the 200sx only appears in PAL versions...isn't that what you have AAZ? PAL?

Yep, PAL. What do you have (i mean, cars)? I've also got NTSC 1.0, but too lazy to check out myself, lol :)

I have NTSC 1.2/greatest hits. I don't remember seeing a 200SX, but my memory is gettting funny. It's been so long since i played GT2 in detail. :guilty: So i'm not sure if that name 200SX appears in my game. I know i had various 240SX models, tho.

i noticed, that if you adjust the suspension on the Escudo, to where it hanles all bouncy, and there's a lot of body roll, it handles... better. i'm serious, it takes any corner without braking. i've taken it on Seattle, and it'll go around the corners at 100+ mph on 2 wheels, just like that. you have to hit a rumble strip, however. hit one, while turning, and the car will just go *yoink* right around the first 2 corners on Seattle.

this also works on the Cultus, and any other hi-powered 4wd car.

Hence that's why i call it the Excuseo :ouch: So many have used it as an excuse to win race after race, because they ain't good enough to drive something more challenging. :dunce:

when i do the max speed test it dosnt delete all my cars it just ****s up the first car on my list
