Not too sure, may be the Audi R8 Race Car (LMP) '01 and Nissan R89 for sure, for the other ones i will tell you those ive driven may be you can put the ones you think are faster on share. :)

I used: Nissan R92CP, Sauber C9, Nissan R390GT1, i think thats it for the standard LMP car.

The Minolta cannot meet the 650PP requierment i think.

Did another run with the 787B, its really fast!

it did 5:41.216, theres some room for improvement but i think i'll leave it there, its hard to get the car at the right place vs the AI, a little mistake and they slow you down a lot.

The first lineup was very good for the 787B, getting in front of the McLaren before the
3rd sector, best 3rd sector was 1:26.993.

Lets say :
-Nissan RC89
-Audi R8 LMP race car '01
-C60 Hybride
-Toyota 7 if it meet the 650pp
-Toyota GTone
-Courage C60

Heres the setup i used for the 787B,
only thing i did was:

set compression on the shock at :8/6

diff:
intial:10
accel 12
decel 5

ballast:
120kg/5 position

gears: move final ratio on complete right, move top speed complete left, the 1st gear complete left, same for 2nd gear, then set:
1st: 2.878
2nd:1.975
3rd: 1.605
4th: 1.293
5th: 1.038
Final ratio 3.492

Using the method i described in a previous post the car ended with 600hp at 654PP after the best lap. i tried the difference on the 0-1000m test and it was about a car lenght difference at 585hp vs 595hp to give an idea.

What would be the best CLASSIC car for this race.
-Chapparal 2D
-Ferrari 330 P4
-Jaguar XJ13
-Ford Mark IV
-Ford GT40
-Corvette Zo6 Race Car

You should test these out. When your done with the LMP, i'll put all these up for borrow to. Im very curius to see the fastest.

The MKIV is the fastest...no competition
 
I tried the Toyota 7, i added 200kg ballast, and it just didnt had enought power, decent acceleration but from 200kmh its really bad, around 300kmh theres a wall. It should do around 5:50 id say.

Then i tried the Peugeot Pescarolo Courage C60 race car '03 vs. car lineup no.3
it did 5:46.788, decent top speed (around 322kmh) and it has precise steering feel. :)

This video, especially the perch cam view, made me see the ring in a totally new way. The entire ride along felt like it was on a F1 track rather than a road course/monster. The sharpness of the turns that I've experienced (no matter which car I use) seemed to simply not exist. Thanks for the lesson on the right racing lines to take on the ring.

the C60 hybrid have better corner entry than the C60 pescarolo, very stable and a lot of front bite, but suffer from oversteer on acceleration out of corner, its harder to put the power on the ground vs the older C60, it did 5:49.

The R89 did 5:47, could been slightly better but the top speed was not that great vs the GTone and 787B, it had great balance and grip though.

The Toyota GTone did 5:41.915, It keep pulling on higher speed like the 787B, very nice car.

Started to run the Audi R8, its late though ill have to retest next time, the car feel great and have an awesome turn-in, it should be close to the 787B and GTone.

The R8 '01 SHOULD be the definite fastest of the
6. The cornering and acceleration is equal of that of the minolta, but with better cornering.
 
Any other LMP you want me to put up? You should try the CLK, 905, Speed 8 and definitely the V12 LMR.
 
You can put the V12LMR , i just bought the Bentley speed 8, i tried the CLK and it should do around 5:55(guesstimation). The 905 dont have godd enought handling vs the 787B and GTone

Thx! started a few attempts with the R8 to find the best lineup of cars to race against, i think i found it but i'll have to try it more tomorow its late i didnt had that much spare time tonight,

had a lap at 5:44 but it was not a clean lap, then later i had a very good one with the car lineup i found the best, lost control a little before the long sraight... it was a very clean lap, hard to say but 4:41 5:41 for sure, on the sector before the long straight the 787B and GTone had around 5:04, i think it had a 5:03, will have to test more, the top speed is 325kmh vs the 338kmh of the GTone, it should be a close result. :)

First time out I beat the McLaren with a 6:21.366 to the McLaren's 6:27.xxx.I know with engine break-in it will only get faster. I was hoping to go under 6:30 and maybe out muscle the McLaren at the end but it was clean all the way. I'm happy with that...👍

Yes that R8 is one of the fastest for sure.
