And have you heard of the American Le Mans Series? Grand Am, KONI Challenge, Time Attack, etc.? I love people that think Americans only turn left.

... now back to praising V1.07 lol

What harm does it do if someone who has the game for 1 hour is to get an X1?? if its the way they want to play the game they own, so be it..

So many tight gits here, no wonder so many people are sad and lonley in this world, learn to share and not be jealous if other people have the same or even better than you. It will only make you bitter.

Online racing has settings to make racing fair, so if a noob racing with an X1 or whatever car beats you in an online race they are obviousley better at the game, just accept it.

lolwat? They're better at a game because they had to rely on a trade to get a faster car they couldn't earn like the rest of us...

I don't care people are duping and taking cars into online play. The fact is when it gets out of control like it has and it affects the people that use the game normally. I.E. I can't gift high end cars, or on the other hand I can't receive them!

I'm talking about trading the correct way, so no the "Share feature" doesn't work. You know I like JDM cars and my friend likes Italian so we would trade if something rare is found that he didn't have for a car that I really wanted. Can't get anymore specific than that. 👍

Enough about me tell me about more about yourself, why can't you state why your here beside asking me 20 questions? Did you agree about was included in the update?

Ok I understand now. Thank you for the clarification. Now that youre asking, no I do not agree with the cap, I liked trading and duping cars. The reason why I even replied in this thread is because I interpreted your original post as dictating how I or anyone should play the game. By your last post I do realise that you want to discuss or praise PD and thats fine, but I do not agree with the,"I play the game the right way and everyone who doesnt is a cheater "" tone....

Also lumping all people together who dupe as cheaters is useless. I've played all GT games from GT1 on and I've always loved them. I've played GT5 the normal way and I've duped cars to take part in online events where there was not enough time to grind for the specific car. So sue me. I feel I'm entitled to play the game as I please. Not how PD want me too... We have Apple for that..... :) Sorry I dont have a 21st question for you... Now I'll move on to the Anti-1.07 thread 👍

These PRO/ANTI threads will get nowhere. People are just going to keep arguing back and forth.

Just struggling with the idea of why PD would reply to either end - They "Fix" the game as they see fit. It's not like there's any continued revenue to be gained by them. It's the age old issue of their game, their rules, if we want to play, we play by their rules. Seems fair enough to me... If I invented something with the plan that people play it they way I envisaged it, and this wasn't the case, people were finding other uses for it, but I could rectify this and ensure it was only used for the originally perceived use, I am certain I would.

Simple really, if you want to keep playing it, keep playing it, if you don't, don't... I'm not sure anybody really cares, 6 millions users at last count was it? Not like online is going to dry up anytime soon anyway...

I have played GT5 since November and had allot of fun wille doing it.
A-Spec = Lv31
B-Spec = Lv24
88% of game played

I cant play every day, so I turned to trading and Duping via my PC, this was instead of playing games on FaceBook; farmvile & Cityville.
I had allot of fun trading and do not think that is cheat......WHO am i cheating???? No one, did I steal frome some No...
I play this game for my sake no one els's....
We are a groupe of people playing online for fun and testing allot of cars, could not have done this with out tradin., Grinding with A-Spec is getting to borring, so trading made me playing the game allot more again.
B-Spec is just waste of time for me and will just give the PS3 allot of mileage on it.

I love the game and for me it is the Best driving simulator out there.
I'm sad that that we cant trade as before and most off all, I now have to share my only trading slot with my to kids who'm also send cars to each other from there PS3 accounts....one gift car per PS3 is whaaay to fare out!!??

We all have our reason to play the game and how we play it is our business.
Hope we all can accept that we are different and play the game differently

Sorry couldn't resist,

All isp's could go out of business.

GT is more than just another PS3 game, it was supposed to be THE reason for people to buy a PS3. Sony has a huge investment in this franchise, not just now but for future Playstations. With GT5, all they've got left over other racing franchises is the simulator physics and number of cars.... but other companies are catching up fast...

But the game is now "old" in release terms, and it's now LBP2 being sold as the reason to buy one (for now). I doubt the franchise will suffer too much, it's not as if the entire COD series has suffered by the fact that World at War was such a turkey....
Moreover, apart from removing what was for many a shortcut, not sure quite what they're meant to have done wrong here. Removing the tyres from the PP score can easily be balanced, I do agree with an earlier post that the main prompt could well be legal issues from Ebay which explicitly forbids the sale of digital content, yet hundreds of digital cars for sale on there. (With their current crusade against those subverting their security, a legal action involving them doing little to prevent illegal trade on Ebay could be embarassing).

I don't doubt the game still has issues, as far as I'm aware PD weren't happy with them product at release date, but Sony didn't want to put it back again.... I agree with a lot of people that a save option on endurance races could do with coming soon. My own personal favourite at the moment as I'm trying to buy 1000 cars would be able to buy a car without leaving the dealership...

So far I make it about 70 extra events that have been added to the game via Seasonal Events, so well over 150 races at present (F1 seems happy to survive with effectively 16-20 a year for the last 10 years or so), so think PD have a very definite plan and seem to be sticking to it.

I can see that there may be some specific gripes, and it's not like they're not paying attention at all (hence re-opening the trade window to allow cars to be returned), so anythings possible I suppose...

There is no "earning" any car in this game. There is no skill involved in having rare, expensive cars, only time. To argue otherwise is pointless. I kinda like the idea of there being as many people as possible having competitive cars in as many classes as possible. That makes is more likely to have full starting grids in online rooms. More people able to have the cars they want = more people staying interested in the game = more people and more varied online races = longer replay value and a larger community. A larger and longer lasting community will ensure that Sony puts as much resources as they can into future GTs.

Isn't this the praise thread? 💡

Now, these forums are pretty unreadable, the haters attack the praisers and vice-versa...

I'm not saying not to complain or to praise, freedom is here for all of us I guess, but the forums are just losing structure and logic. :scared:

It's like we're in the mind of a PD employee....

Shall I say "touché"?

Yeah, there is no logic in many GT5 things, but I do enjoy a lot the game as is, driving physics are here to make those things much less important to me.

But, yeah, they should fix a lot of stuff for most gamers, I guess...

I love this new update.. although I'm still not sure how the trading works now, but cutting down on duped cars is great!

Just go ahead and close this thread. People who "cheat" do not affect you or me in any way.

except for the now endless amounts of X1's driven around by children online for no other purpose than to destroy the races of people trying to actually have a good time. If these pathetic little dunderclumps didnt go duping X1s at a rate that was astronomical then giving them to any child that wanted one this problem wouldnt be so pronounced now would it. It would only be a few ***** with them hell bent on destroying an otherwise enjoyable race environment.
