It appears that today will be all about the legend that is the Porsche 917.

Here is the 917K, 1970 Le Mans winner driven by Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood.

The car has been fully restored and placed up for auction recently. Here it is in all it's current, lovongly preserved glory:

Really surprised to see more Porsches than Nissan's considering the story behind why Nissan always runs #23 whenever they can.

For those that aren't familiar with it, the number 2 is "Ni" in Japanese, and the number 3 is "San" in Japanese.
