On PC we start voting to kick if someone hasn't 'readied' themself after about 30s.
I guess we're an impatient lot.

Have you tried hosting your own room?

No, but how would that fix the game timing out after qualifying but before the race? I'm not talking about the READY/NOT READY screen. Almost every lobby tonight has got stuck between the end of qualifying and the pre-race screen.

I have had issues with other hosts, but online has been 100% realiable for me when I host.

I dont personally think this is a bug I believe its host specific.

Just my experience.

@IanBell @The_American One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is the chase camera - I'm very happy with the changes you've made to it, where basically it's like Gran Turismo now, with the camera being fixed to the rear of the car rather than the track, which is exactly what I like. Setting world movement to 100 to lock the camera solid, pretty much makes it perfect for me. This, combined with the controller improvements, means I can happily drive around using chase cam if I want to (best way to admire those time changes!), which is pretty cool, and a first for me in a sim of this kind!

However I know from the GT forums here that not everyone likes this type of camera, and I wouldn't be surprised if you get complaints about it - so I just want to say that if you do look to change it in the future, please make sure the option to keep it as it is now is retained. Thanks :)

Fair play if you like the new chase camera but I'm one of those who isn't entirely happy about how it is implemented in pCARS 2. An option to have have a view that is further away from the car and not locked to the vehicle would be much appreciated, thanks! 👍 @IanBell @The_American

Erm. I and many people don't deem it to be that much of an issue. Yes, it's slightly frustrating but beyond that, there's no actual issue and it will be fixed soon.

Well it's a big issue for me when a simple thing like Editing a tune in "Edit Tune" in preparation for a race to change tyres, adjust gas or whatever for the particular weather condition and/or race duration and the adjustments are not keeping or familiar to Pcars1. Something is very wrong and it's frustration the hell out of me.

You can back the camera up with a keyboard.

Well, I tried the Ford Mk.IV Race Car and I'm not sure it sounds right. It has a 7.0L V8 and it's not making a crackle sound that I'm used to from one.

Out of the box, is the GT B Escort, a bit too slow? I haven't taken the time to check gearing, but mid-range power seems weak, compared to the PC1 version.

IIRC, it isn't using the same engine as the one in pCARS 1, but the RX and racing version does I think.

Even so, it's not feeling like the zippy, lightweight, 1600cc touring car it is.

From the "outside", the car sits low on its suspension. I don't know if that has anything to do it.

Reminds me of the Datsun 510 in Forza 6. If that car is set extremely low, the performance just falls way off.

Is there no way to view your sector times while driving? Seems like a major oversight.
You can change this in HUD display. During time trials you can see while driving the WR sectortimes, your PB,your actuals etc. No I do not know if it can also be made visible during Career mode? I then only race with lap delta time --> less distraction and green is ok and red is 'push harder'.

It's extremely useful when comparing yourself to others online and making setups. I looked through all the HUD options and didn't see any sector time options.

So maybe only available during time trial and not online? Like the 'save replay' is only available after a race and not while free roaming. Right?
I will check later to be sure

Completely agree. I absolutely adore this game, however I wish TC changes during race settings were more like Asetto, and I wish I was penalized for bad shifts (not using clutch properly) like Asetto. H Pattern barely cares if you use the clutch or not.

Still. Love love LOVE this game.

I bought my H pattern shifter like a month ago as anticipation for this game!

I enjoyed the hell out of it in AC! Works like a charm and doesn't even register the gear in case i mess my clutch timing!

In PC2, it's basically useless, whether I turn autoclutch off or not, whether the car is an H shifter only or not, you can basically drive any car with it without using the clutch! Heck you can even drive tiptronic cars with it!
It's so weird! I hope PC2 correct it and implements it the same way AC does!
==> an H shifter car can only be driven by that H shifter (of course if it's plugged and settings is on),
==> if autoclutch is off, you need to use that clutch,
==> you cannot drive a tiptronic car with the H shifter, and vice versa,
==> the game does all that automatically without you needing to fiddle with anything.

@IanBell , please man stress on this and make it happen please! This is a must for immersion and simulation which we are all seeking!

==> you cannot drive a tiptronic car with the H shifter, and vice versa, ------ unless you as a gamer do not have a H shifter
==> the game does all that automatically without you needing to fiddle with anything. ---- indeed, just as AC does it.

You don't see this to often

Exactly!

I was in 1st position at the start of the online race at the Red Bull Ring (9 laps, 9 opponents), a couple laps in i saw what i thought was rain coming down.. wrong, it was only fog, i only realized it was just fog after i pitted for wet tyres. I thought i had made a bad mistake. I went from 1st to 7th and now on wet tyres in the dry.. i thought it was all over for me, i had just killed my chance at winning 2 online races in a row. For 2 or 3 laps it was still dry, then a miracle, ice starts to come down, i was so happy to see it on the windshield on my 488 GT3, my mistake was no longer a mistake. Everyone but a few pit for wets, i was infront of all but 1.

More fog and ice came down, and it became nighttime in Austria at Red Bull Ring, the visibility was horrible. Being a short track, there were a few back markers, which i somehow got past with not much problem, though scary at times, as i was chasing down the AMG GT3 in first place, i was close but i didn't wanna do anything risky, to avoid regretting anything, then for unknown reasons to me he decides to pit on the second to last lap, i take 1st place back.

"Final lap, take the win, you deserve it buddy" my engineer says as i cruise to victory as the start of the final lap, it almost brought a tear to my eye. I love this game. :)

Could someone explain to me how to best use this tires :)

Like what's the best conditions to use each tire?

Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R
Pirelli P-Zero Corsa
Pirelli P-Zero
Pirelli Winter Carving Edge

Whenever i drive cars like the P1 or Laferrari and it starts to rain i have no idea which tires to use on the car? :(

As Pirelli rate them

Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R - Trackday tyre
Pirelli P-Zero Corsa - Extreme road performance
Pirelli P-Zero - Road Performance
Pirelli Winter Carving Edge - Winter tyre which can be fitted with studs

Wet I would go with the standard P-Zero's or Carving Edge's (need to check if they have been modelled with or without studs).

Basically the top of that list is for drier and warmer track conditions and the bottom is for wetter and colder track conditions.

I think the Trofeo R and Corsa are slick options, P-Zero is a semi-slick road tire and Winter is for snow.
None are actually slick and all are road legal (the Trofeo R's only just).

The Trofeo R and Corsa you wouldn't want to push hard with on cold or wet roads however.

Pitted in to repair damage, which the invisible pit crew fully fixed. As i exit back on to the track the engineer tells me to change up early because I have engine damage .... erm nope.

I did a muti class race yesterday at Daytona Road course 30 minutes (my favorite circuit in the game so far) and the classes were group c1, LMP2, GTE and GT4 and I decided be in the group c1 class. So I picked the Nissan R89C and i was so surprised how grippy the car was. Not just that but I had the AI set to 90 and ageession at 60 and I was still dominate. I wasn't fast by a lot but clearly the fastest. It was a enjoyable race until pit stops. I got caught speeding on pit road because I accidentally turned my speed limiter back off when I pulled out my pit. Ended up finishing last in my class.
