New video. He shows something more than others (silverstone in 720S road car)

And i see trophy truck battles against road supra.
I hope thos mixes in cars are only career thing.

Funny, AI didn't changed at all. Always liked how they dive bombing inside, like there is nothing left to live for, and then eventually driving the same slow further. Can't count how many times got killed on track by this signature move.

I've seen a mixture of AI behaviours. Perhaps the AI skill and aggression settings are still available and some people have adjusted them to extreme settings for the sake of an interesting video?

Based on the videos I've seen so far I would have to disagree, both GT and FM would need to still improve the physics and tyre model considerably, what appears to be more accurate is that GT and FM are trying to get to the niche that PC3 have just reached.

From the videos, I cannot really judge the tyre physics of PC3.

I would need to try by myself.

Just a small note on Forza (even though this is not its section).
I constantly played (and loved) for 3 years at GTS and PCars 2 with the pad.
Only one year and half ago I bought a OneX with Forza7, and inititially I was completely disappointed by the somehow tricky reactions of the cars (a lot of oversteer in many models).

I decided to gave a deeper try anyway, and I started to test in-depth the same cars within these titles (including AC).
I am basically playing hotlapping only.

After a while playing I can now appreciate the driving model, the weight and inertia of the cars is reproduced better in Forza than GTS.

What was the initial odd feeling about oversteering/understeerin and lack of grip, it can be resolved with proper setup.
And the tires provide a good sense of grip (and lose of grip when it happens).

Limited to pad experience and in terms of visual, audio and tactile feeling, Forza is ahead to both GTS and PCars 2 (AC still reigns though).

What I am saying is that when we compare racing games, we should keep in mind that even the same car can be represented with very different setups, making really difficult (or even impossible) to judge the physics by an initial look.

There was seperate agression and skill settings. Only difference is now you are selecting low, normal, high presets instead of percantage value.

What a weird mix of cars in that 720s part

I still wonder is this only a career thing or they just messed up the car classes. I wonder how custom race interface will look like. Maybe there will be option to hand pick each car in grid?

I wish every console game to have the option like AC1: assign any car to a grid.

F1 car, MX-5, Group A, Alfa Guilia, all together.

yes this would be nice in pc3. And it wpuld redeem a little bit this game.

I agree we will need to wait for the final title, however based on where all three are right now, my point stands, PC would need to take a massive step backwards to drop behind either FM or GT.

Same gran turismo stupid races...nascar Vs 60's gt vs road cars vs gt4 in the same race.

No spa, no lemans.

Stupid fake road circuits.

Still want it but heavily discounted.

On the 28th captain tsubasa is out, enough to wait for this on discount (imo it will drop super fast).

Ok i'm no expert but when does this game go gold? With 26 days left shouldn't it have already i mean they have to print the hard copies, send them to retail, setup pre orders special editions with hard copies that's not something you do last minute.

Cause from what i seen those preview copies were not from the gold version of the game?

:indiff:

Tbf, a bunch of car types in 1 track is something that I want to see and play around within car roster. To see how a 60's GT measure up against GT4 for example. This is something that can only be done at racing games mostly. But obviously for official events, don't pull this kind of race and only stick to 1 car class type.

In PC2 I sometimes found that a change of just 2 points made the difference between a great race and a poor one against the AI. I can't see how restricting choice to just low, normal and high will be an improvement.

The more I hear about this game, the less hyped I get.

Seems it is very gamey according to a preview

2 days before the Berlin event begins, hopefully it's a Formula E trailer (the timing makes sense).

And how will the game implement Formula E when they confirmed there is ZERO Qualifying in this game..... remind me of how the Formula E grid, as well as every other races series is formed?

They said leagues would be supported then removed qualifying and private lobbies

Maybe the way PCARS2 does, letting you choose between front, middle, rear or random. Or maybe how GRID does, start last for race 1 then reverse grids for every other race. I'm sure SMS will figure out a system that doesn't leave 30 cars starting line abreast over the grass or stacked in a pyramid.

Therefore totally unrealistic and against every form of motorsport. Whats the point of incorporating real race series but not qualifying shows how far down the rabbit hole they went with this

I think you have to look at it as a new arcade game with simulator mechanics rather than something which follows on from the first 2. From that perspective it looks like a great game. Going with Project Cars: Revolution instead of the number 3 might've been a better decision.

btw NASCAR is one of the most popular series' in the world and they're running all of their top championships without practice or qualifying for the rest of the year.

Except for those times when you turn them down by 2 points and they get faster, or the other way around.

Actually, the only thing that clearly seems is that PCGamer got a very good commission from SMS.

Anyway, I appreciate their honesty in telling me that all things I loved of PC2 are gone.

One of the claim of how the game is "gamey" is that there's some side objectives like mastering corners.... that should've been utilized as sponsor requirements.

I could not be more polar opposite than this. I don't have any interest whatsoever in hypothetical matchups. I want a game to mimic the racing series I like to watch and follow in real life. I want the classes in a career mode and quick races to make sense.
As the years go on, I find myself only interested in GT1/3/4 races classes and no road cars. My fantasy is to be a race driver on a pro team, taking out a hypercar or exotic does nothing for me.

But everyone likes different things. I realize this game isn't one I'll stick with if I do get it, it doesn't sound like there's much for me. And that's fine. Seems like some people will get a lot of mileage out of it.

Thank god ACC is exactly what I wanted.

Have fun with this one folks, maybe I'll pick up down the line at some point, Grid was fun for a few weeks.

ACC is good but even compared to PC1 and PC2 its a totally different thing. Its not the go to game for a good track and car list for example. That's not a dig, but its a licensed series so it's limited compared to other games.
