:grumpy: Its really annoying that I am not receiving an activation E-Mail. Now I can't play pCARS again, unless I get the E-Mail.

That just makes it all the more amazing for me.

Seeing RUFs makes me wish that there were RM versions of the RGT in GT5. :(

Is it still possible to become a beta tester (or whatever it is called)?

Don't get your hopes too high but as said many times already, if the FSA investigation goes through ok, there should be a short opening for joining still at some point (like a weekend or so). Everything regarding this is halted until the word comes FSA is happy and everything can carry on. I think this still is the plan.. let's just wait for things to clear up.

It's just "RUF", not "RÜF". It also doesn't have a special meaning, it's just the last name of the company's founder, Alois Ruf. But, yeah, the Gernam noun "Ruf" would be translated as "the call", or sometimes as "the shout".

R U F,Rough or Roof?

I take back my statement about RUF. Why I have RÜF in my head... no clue. Should've consorted Google before opening my big mouth.

Fill in 'rufen' with German selected and click search and then the blue speaker. This is plural, so just remove the '-en' on the end and just say it up to the f.

Ok Roof it is then.
I prefer Roof to porshce something about the stigma attached to their driver's,balding, fat middle-aged men but I'm sure some drive Roof's too.

I know why you got Rüf stuck in your head.

>>>>>>> Tüf (prüfung).

Could be. I dunno, it is mentally corrected.

First physics are in for the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400 and the design was resumed yesterday.
The physics will not be correct out of the box though. Lots of stuff needs to be coded up to simulate all the tech that's in these cars before it behaves as it does. The tech will be implemented in two phases, so it will definitely handle correctly at the end of its development.
Initial pass has just a 50:50 torque split front to back, as there is no tech to allow differently yet.

Anyways, I am getting excited to see the Evo evolve during development. :)

Am I the only one who's incredibly excited to hear that intelligent AWD system are in there, in the first place? I always hated that that wasn't the case for games like Forza and Gran Turismo.

Yeah, just played with the Evo in GT5. It doesn't behave as I think it should. At least it doesn't behave as in this video.

Glad that SMS is working on the Evo X again. :D

And hearing about the intelligent AWD system, seems intriguing also. I wonder if they driven one of the Evos or seeing one with the super all-wheel control in action on a track and/or on a dyno for their information. And will it top over GT's and FM's AYC controllers.

Maybe when it's finished, I'm seeing a GT/FM/PCars comparison down the road. Can't wait. :)

Suzy Wallace (SMS producer) has an Evo and is a total Evo nut. You bet the team should and will get it right. ;)
Suzy went to the Green Hell last year with her Evo for a drive. So we definitely have someone who knows the handling characteristics. Plus we have Ben 'The Stig' Collins with his broad experience as well.

There is no doubt in my mind we will get it right.

As for GT5, played it with the Evo X last night, but I felt that something was simply not right with its AYC system. The car just didn't behave as I expected after reading many service manuals that we have for reference in the WMD forum. Though having never driven one in real life, I can't really say what or what I should feel.
It's just that the car didn't seem to pull itself out of a corner no matter how I drove it while keeping the dar's systems in mind and their needs. I wonder if AYC is working properly at all in GT5.

Holy %&##!@!&, are you kidding me?!

I just became aware of this game and had a look at these screenies. http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/project-cars-community-gallery-49/#more-3521

I always thought GT5 looked good, but this looks SILLY good!

Spa looks fairly similar on F1 and PCars, but I think the lighting looks better in PCars.

I actually like the physics feeling in GT5. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I haven't tried any other game with my T500RS. The only thing that could be a lot better is the feeling when tyres are about to loose traction. I can't really feel that in GT5, even with the T500RS.

I really hope PCars will have that and more when it comes to physics. When I read "30 fps on consoles" my mind was already made up to play it on PC only. I need my 60fps+. :)

Really looking forward to this. Going to download and try.

You can't if your not an investor.

But if you are somehow able to download it, please share it with me because I want to try it myself.

I was just clarifying following your second sentence.
I was trying to find out if he had found, by any change, a special way to download pCARS (not illegally ofcourse).

Yes, release is planned for, I believe, november 2013.

If you know the URL to the files (or someone gave you it) you could download the builds, you still couldn't play it though because you have to sign in to your account to play it.

Its gonna be released once the member deem it done. Something like Q4 2013 and Q1 2014 is probably a good guess.

Yep, I already have a legally downloaded build, but without the code, I can't play it.

At the rate it is going ATM I would say it will be done by early next year. The game already has a lot in it but from what is promised the game will be huge.

Is there going to be a free demo for all to try before the release of the full game?
