If you know the URL to the files (or someone gave you it) you could download the builds, you still couldn't play it though because you have to sign in to your account to play it.

Ouch! Just gonna have to force my brain to forget it then. :)

some RUF love.... ;-)

Suzy Wallace (SMS producer) has an Evo and is a total Evo nut. You bet the team should and will get it right. ;)
Suzy went to the Green Hell last year with her Evo for a drive. So we definitely have someone who knows the handling characteristics. Plus we have Ben 'The Stig' Collins with his broad experience as well.

There is no doubt in my mind we will get it right.

As for GT5, played it with the Evo X last night, but I felt that something was simply not right with its AYC system. The car just didn't behave as I expected after reading many service manuals that we have for reference in the WMD forum. Though having never driven one in real life, I can't really say what or what I should feel.
It's just that the car didn't seem to pull itself out of a corner no matter how I drove it while keeping the dar's systems in mind and their needs. I wonder if AYC is working properly at all in GT5.

Woah, the Stig, himself and a Evo fan?! I'm impressed, really. :)👍

Can't wait to drive the SMS Evo X FQ400 (which should be the EUDM version of the US/JDM GSR, I think) on the 'Ring when the game is finished!

I have driven the Evos in GT5, can't say about the FM4's Evos though, but the GT5's Evolution controls do feel kind of awkward, especially around the corners. I'm a Evo guy myself (even though Subie STi's rule...hehe ;)) but I need to drive the Evos tonight and do a test with one. But I do remember about adding the torque converter to replace the AYC system and the car drives perfectly though.

Now I wondering if SMS has a Subie lover in their ranks ;)💡.

Oh, I also have to add that we have Lewis Hamilton's kid brother helping as well, Nicolas Hamilton. ;)

I also have been openly wondering in the WMD forums from time to time if we will get some Imprezas or GTRs. Haven't heard much yet, but I hope we get some more Japanese cars though.

Oh and I would also love to see that new Mercedes A45 AMG in the game when the Mercedes license comes through. I really like the looks of that car. Though granted, there are more important cars to fill the line-up.

Here are the articles of Ben Collins and and Nicolas Hamilton:

Demos are the last thing SMS are thinking about right now. There may be one but we won't know for months, until they're ready to even think about it.

If it's comunity based product it should be on the customer side, therefore a demo when the time comes is the obvious consequence.

Not entirely.

When it comes to the community SMS's main objective is to deliver what the people who signed up want. Since we can already play the game I am not sure people will vote for a demo just because it's a nice thing to do.

I'm fairly certain that there will be a demo simply because it's a good way for people who are interested in the game but not sure about buying it to try it out..

I think a demo would come (if at all) once the physics are done or at least one car is finished. Most people on the forums are PC guys, so they already have their demo. On the other hand, SMS knows that the majority of sales will come from the console crowd, and they know that people will be skeptical after the Shift series. It could go either way at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if a demo wasn't released.

I'm not saying there won't be. I am saying the decision wont be based on the fact it is a community run project.

Officially I'm calling SMS the British PD, right about now.

That's great they got Ben and Nick helping them out with the physics and the handling of the cars and try to simulate them more closely to the real deal, probably even better than PD and T10!

I hope they can get a demo for the PS3 and 360 during the summer time soon. I really want to see what they will do, especially on the PS3's RAM and it's complicated technology.

And yes I hope they will add a STi, GTRs and Supras along with the Corvettes, Vipers and Mustang, especially the GT500 ones. 👍

But if they don't, at least they got the Evo X, BMWs, RUFs and a few others that I like to drive/race.

kikie

Hmmmm....That's could be a sight to see on PCars. From what I heard and experienced on GT5, that the hybrid/electric cars have been accurately close to their real life counterparts in terms of efficiently and performance. Can't say about Forzas, but I heard some good words about theirs works on the hybrids. So I wonder what could SMS could do.

I think you need to do some back logging on the news page of WMD. ;)

PS3 screenshots? Nice!

Wonder how good they would look if pCARS would have been developed for the PS4?

Equal to PC at most, though with less options probably as far as controls go and so on. The game is developed on and for PC and ported to any other console.

That's true, it would probably be limited option wise.

Speaking of the PS4, and since it's said to be an "open" system built like a PC, i hope it will accept separate wheels/pedals ! With my G27 and CS pedals i can't play GT5 anymore :grumpy:

Now while I will admit that I have not read all 134 pages of this thread....

I am having a hard time getting excited over this game because most of what I have read about or seen has all centered around what is being done on the PC. I do not, nor will I game on PC when I have a PS3 that meets my gaming needs.

The last game I purchased that was developed by Slightly Mad Studios was not only a disappointment, it left me frustrated with the money that I wasted. Once bitten twice shy as the saying goes.

I am not one to nitpick a game over graphics and sounds, but to me, how the game feels while I am using a DS3. Why should I believe Project Cars is going to be fine on the PS3.
