I don't know whether to cancel my LE order and get the digital copy or leave it as is and enjoy the booklet and stuff. I have gotten used to switching games without popping discs. Yeah I know first world problems.
 
Release date is still TBA on the XBL marketplace.

Some of the pictures in the sample images for PCARS on the XBL storefront, are actually a lot
of the pictures that went onto the Photo Pron thread here on GTP :)
(There was like 24 sample images, I was able to recognize at least 5 of them from GTP)

where are they pulling those 1374 ratings from at this stage?

I know your pain...

In this case though, I'll be getting it on PC digitally, and I don't even have a disc drive on my PC so it was no real question about what to get.
 
If they are to release PC in May there will be an announcement soon. Game gotta go gold in the coming week and you can see some PR/marketing going on already...someone is giving 10 free copies of the game..I think it is Redbull. I've seen this on twitter and FB.
 
There hasn't been alot of news lately. And when I mean not alot I mean none.

Like all has just gone dead for the past few weeks.

Free car announcement. Monthly DLC promised. Regular build notes declining in size. Fanatec support announced. New driver in the Young Driver Initiative. Game on display at the Gadget Show. What exactly are you looking for besides the obvious release date?

Keep in mind these guys don't have a NFS/GT/Forza budget to work with, not even close. My guess is they are relying on word of mouth in the gaming communities, Youtube, social media etc., and will have some kind of splash around release time, but nothing close to what the big guys do because they just don't have the funds for that.

The first one is the only one that's interesting ;) The rest is "well duh" stuff tbh.

I was most interested in monthly DLC myself. A steady or semi-steady flow of new content would be a real breath of fresh air to me and keep the game fresh as well. And if you have a Fanatec wheel and a console that's pretty huge for those people as well.
 
Im so calm right now. I was like crazy a few weeks back but now I'm relaxed all the way. Why? I don't know. Maybe because it's just around the corner. Don't get me wrong. I'm really REALLY looking forward to release day and a few days off.

Quick question that may be obvious but I'll ask. Is it currently possible, in quick race mode, to select each AI car individually or does it just choose random cars from that class? Because I was hoping to have some 911 GT3 Cup or BMW M1 Procar races on PCars and am wondering if that is possible.

Amazing what people take for granted sometimes. That SMS are by far the first to include Fanatec support, before Turn10 and before Evo (read: Sonys first party dev for PS4) even knew about it, is "well, duh"?! Err, ok. :odd:

@JASON_ROCKS1998 : That is possible by choosing "opponent: identical".

Well that's good. Would be nicer (Although I'm not hoping for it) to choose each car, so if I just wanted the Pagani Huayra V McLaren P1 in a race instead of all of the games hypercars.
 
pretty safe to say its not going to be may.Not only does the game need to be finished but the discs need making and thats a very big job..I can wait a bit if needs be, i still am waiting for amazon to list the t3pa pro pedals and havent yet decided on which racing stand. 1st world problems eh ?
 
If I remember correctly, a game can go gold as late as 2 weeks before release. There is still plenty of time to turn round a 7th May release, never mind an end of May release.


EDIT: Look at GT6's example:
On the 27th November, we were told the first discs had just been printed and the game was released on the 6th December.

I've got to get my act together , if they stick with a May release and hopefully early May I've still got to buy my T300rs and Playseat .

I've got this exact combo and game wise it's the the best thing I've done. The playseat looks pricey but it's worth every penny mate.
As for the t300, that's worth it too. I was playing game stock car last night in the Mclaren mp4/4 at Spa and it was the best gaming experience I've ever had in my (40 years of gaming ) life. It was out of this world. Sorry for the rant. Just get them. You won't be sorry.
If pcars is anywhere near as good as Gsce I'll be overjoyed :cheers:

I think they'll give a release date when they know a definite one. Another false date now could be disastrous. I'm happy to wait but I've seen many on these forums cancel their orders. More fool them.

The sooner it's released, the sooner i can stop seeing my psychiatrist...
