Is there a thing called "summer sleep". If so, I'm going to summer sleep and wake up just in time for the release of pCARS. This games seems to be exactly what I'm looking for (graphic's wise). It's always hard to wait many, many months before the release of a game.

Video showing in detail the new Ruf RGT-8 '12 (WIP), that has been added today in build 417. The video also includes a lap and replay in the short circuit of Catalunya.

I'm totally impressed. Not bad, just need some improvements on the RGT-8 (991) and it will be great, but still a nice WIP car. Love the videos guys :)👍.

Question guys.

Currently I'm cleaning up my PC and was wondering if you can move pCars to another hard without going through the whole download/intsall process again?
Currently it's installed on on my ssd (C drive) and I was looking to move it to my other drive with my other games.

I honestly can't remember if the option to install elsewhere was given.

All of the files should be contained within your user/user/appdata/local/CARS directory, so it will be wherever you have your user directory. What you can do is transfer all the from your SSD into a folder on your bigger drive, then point the launcher to that directory by clicking on the options button on the login box.

So, for example:

If we call the bigger drive D:, create a new directory called pcarsinstallfiles, we can move the files from C:\user\user\appdata\local\CARS\Patches\ to D:\pcarsinstallfiles\Patches\ and then the launcher will look to that directory to find the new files, and download any new ones in there.

Such delicious car porn.

That red RUF in picture #6 is just amazing! :dopey:

Really looking forward to see more pictures of the RUF's.

Great pics, Adrianf1! 👍

Stunning as always, Chromatic. :)

*does some 'ini mini miny mo' for the new background*

Oh did Jonz already post this video here? It's simply amazing and I just love the music and its flow. I think I played it 3 times already.

Brilliant video !

The RUF is a wild beast to drive but one of the best sounding cars in sim racing that I have come across. As the revs keep climbing the sound gets better and better 👍

Yeah, the RUF is good and has a good balance. Though it feels as if the car misses a bit of grip but more so the downforce the body creates by itself. Though I could be totally wrong here, but the wise car engineers and so on that are on the team will get down to the root of the issue.
Next week it will probably be a whole lot better already in terms of driveability. Though I already love it now.

Can't imagine what the Yellow Bird will do on notNordschleife that is being scanned by Pablo Vision™. If the current in game RUF is hard to drive initially, we will be in for a wrestling match with the bird. :p

Damnit I really like this car now, and I never ever like the formula cars i any game. It's soo nice to play just below the grip limit.. until the very limit it feels there's more and more and more, but it's a false assumption and it will punish you if you push it too hard. After a few beers I'll settle for this lap.. and recording live with 30fps didn't help either :p

Wait:confused: is the Ring getting scanned??!

Also Stiggy. It is technically RÜF with umlaut. It means 'calling' and not "rough" as you say. Like in the context of "it's been my calling to become a race driver". ;)
It's just "RUF", not "RÜF". It also doesn't have a special meaning, it's just the last name of the company's founder, Alois Ruf. But, yeah, the Gernam noun "Ruf" would be translated as "the call", or sometimes as "the shout".

What Simon said.

Just a question but are you 100% sure?

I haven never seen Ruf being written with an umlaut. Not even Alois Ruf's name whom is the founder. Nor does the official website mentions Ruf being written with an umlaut. http://www.ruf-automobile.de/de/de-index.php

I could be wrong ofcourse.

tree'd by Luminis. :ouch:
