It's the new part that no one has ever seen this open in game development..
These are wise words and worth being read more than once.

I don't have a WMD account so you probably facepalm again, but the last posts (insulst a part) were a possible hype train with "NASCAR license and other stuff" to something like "FSA canged our plans".So lets recapitulate:
- starting to focus on getting the game ready for alpha phase 6-9 months ahead of release is rushing things
- pCARS is under-budgeted and that was corrected by... leaving the budget at the exact same 3.75 Million Euros
- I have no problem with swiftly insulting people whose posts reek of ignorance, stupidity and false assumptions
Hey, you fellas got one out of three correct, well done! Maybe somebody accidentially Implamented some sense in your ramblings, after all! 👍
Another thing I want to discuss is, why FSA decided to put a limit cap? What if SMS need more money and people agree to give them with more subscriptions because they like what they are doing and want to support pCars even more? What if big corporations are pushing FSA to do this kind of control?
The sudden rush Ian seems to have could make me (and not only me) thinking the money is over, FSA changed their plans, SMS tried to re-open subscriptions but no, and now is time to release whatever they did. Therefore I've jumped on MY OWN conclusion yet again.
Now tell me, Is it against forum rules? I didn't stated it is a fact. It is my opinion. If it's against forum rules post the link where it says so. And dude seriosously, attack the point not the people, calling people "fool" is no different attitude than calling people fanboy.
Ehh?
Because Ian says so here!

Looks fantastic in full screen and 1080p.Nice vid from RayRoocroft
I concur. Understandably, they won't be able to put everything into the final version, so as for the post-release content, I think a ''season pass'' solution of some kind would be the most desirable in this case - even though it is something that disgusts me to my core, due to the fact how publishers and developers have abused the model this generation.Altough I understand development time and cost, my advice to SMS is try to release as much stuff it was originally planned as possible, Virtualr.net is FULL of pr marketing, carlist tracklist etc. People remember what you said..

I'm aware of that, Simon. Just a thought.Just remember, WE will have the final say on how DLC is handled just as we had the say how the core game would be delivered. If the majority of WMD don't want a season pass there won't be a season pass.
Should be. Since when did Slightly Mad handle their finished games, never mind add-on content with any care about the gaming population?
Shift 1 might have been okay, but they totally gimped Shift 2 and Ferrari Legends. So much wasted potential.
And now they're wasting the potential again.

I see some posters here have that impression.Well, what i get from what Ian posted recently, it that the game just jumped from pre-alpha status to get it out quick status!....
I see some posters here have that impression.
What actually happened was that the sim will now most likely be released early 2014, rather than late 2013. A message on WMD was misread, and replied to so it looked like there would be an early release - it has been cleared up now.
So, a longer development period then, that's not exactly rushing it. The boss calling for not adding more features is something that has to be done at some point. There are a lot of features in and under development as it is, and time is needed to finish and polish all of it.
We're getting ready for going alpha soon, and we're looking at allowing a little extra time to ensure it gets good - nothing wrong with that. I think the panic button can be safely put away![]()
It's not that much longer, and it will go towards ensuring that pCARS becomes very goodAs a PS3 owner I think I would prefer a early release after seeing your post![]()
It's a closed community with paid memberships, and for good reasons. It's not a god given right to look in on software development processes. Most things get out anyway, as is to be expected, but the WMD forums will remain "the project offices".That reminds me why can't WMD open up their forum so everyone can see it and make it so you have to register to make posts? because it is slightly annoying always having to check on YouTube/ask you guys for information
Don't worry, you have lots of PS3 titles coming this year that will entertain you until Project CARS releases such as: GTA V, The Last of Us, etc...DrJustice I know that pCARS will be brilliant I meant that I'm going to have to wait longer to play it![]()
Games taking a little longer than first anticipated is nothing new. Yeah, I know, easy for WMD members to say...DrJustice I know that pCARS will be brilliant I meant that I'm going to have to wait longer to play it![]()
The game being delayed (again?) to 2014 surely shows that this new game they took on is gonna slow things down? It's not then taking longer on p cars. It's them taking similar time on p cars and fitting another game inbetween now and 2014.
