They look,....., different.

Hell I'll say it they look ugly. As I found out on this thread, there's a lot of difference between people pics and video, some look fantastic, some look very bad. I'm glad I got a good config.

Yep. My pc can't max the graphics though.

Doesn't look like you use an injector. You should try one, it won't give higher FPS, but it will make the game look a little better.

Hello.

I left you a new video series that'll make comparative CARS project, these are in SPA and Suzuka Circuit and teach difference of day and night, sunny and rain with different views to appreciate the details.

A greating

I had not been using pCARS in a while, with this latest build I find my post race replays stop after ~30 or so. Anyone know if this is a settings issue?

These pictures are stunning! Makes me want to try to sign up to be a Team Member, whenever they allow registrants to apply again.. if they do..

@chromatic: The most exciting brake lights I have ever seen, and boy have I seen some exciting brake lights! :) The beautified realism in your pics is truly a sight to behold.

We're not seeing enough of the Lotus 77. :indiff:

Aye, screen shots are a handful.

Question is, is it going to be able to match the physics and engine sounds/race effects with those visuals?

I can assure you on both counts with that. Physics are great and so are the sounds.

To show how far they are going with the physics they recently made a new tyre for the Lotus 78. Not happy with giving it a generic slick they made this new tyre to represent the slicks of the 70's which of course had less grip than todays F1 tyres.

We have come a long freaking way in the evolution of graphics, gameplay, and countless other things. Project C.A.R.S. looks absolutely impressive. My (pretty much) outdated PC won't be able to handle this game. So I'm not going to be able to experience this game and all it has to offer. I just basically came in to praise the graphics in these recent posts.

pCARS is awesome. I disagree on the sounds however, they are not as bad as GT5 (nothing is) but they they definitely need work.

I'm hoping the physics will improve a lot before release. Most of the cars feel "dead" to me. Every now and then a car will improve a little but if the current models are say 90% of what the final product will bring , I'd say the graphics far outweigh the physics.

I'm not saying you are wrong so please don't feel insulted , but we all have an opinion. That's mine right there :)

(Has iRacing spoiled me with its detail and physics engine ? Probably :D )

This is weird, because for me it's the contrary. Yes the graphics are great, but what stands out IMO is the handling/physics. For example, i find that cars like the Caterham classic and R500, Bac Mono, BMW GT4 are absolutely fabulous to drive ; with those cars i have a better experience than anything i tried before (including iRacing).

What is really very important in this game is to have everything set up as best as possible (FOV, FFB settings, graphics, etc). Personally until last october i couldn't even play pCars because i had a very negative feeling about it, like i was not in full control ; after spending some time on the settings, i managed to get everything perfectly set up and from that moment i haven't touched another racing game (exept AC of course !).

But i agree that it's far from perfect, some cars can feel boring and uninspired, the AI is still very WIP, the sounds need a lot of work too, etc. But the progress in last builds (especially the new tyres and the revised setups in some cars) is very very promising :)

I agree with you, I feel like the physics feel sterile. The graphics are alright, nice in fact. I have the latest build and the physics absolutely need some feel to them. I have not tried every car, so some of them may be better then the ones I have tested.

The physics needs to keep up with Assetto Corsa & RFactor2, iRacing in my opinion is falling behind. It's iRacing's safety rating etc that keeps it going, along with the fact that after you've spent about $150 you feel like you have to keep using it.
