It's easy to link your bank account to Paypal, it takes about 1 working day for it but it's fairly simple to do so.

Be aware that paypal has very low security and that it's pretty risky to put your bank account on it. Hacking of paypal account happen everyday. My account was hacked there and since then I use it but with extreme caution and by only transfering small amount to my account.

Link my bank account to paypall? Nope, I would never do that.

Instead of using my bank account I have a Master Card.
This way I get a invoice every month that I go through.
And MasterCard holds the risk of scam.

Works like a charm for me.

Why not? If you have caution is a safe method.
Because I am responsible enough to not use my credit card or my bank account info to buy things on the internet that's why I asked about the paysafe card. They are a safer option, I pay them the money I want and they give me a 10 digit code to use to buy stuff online.

What are you basing that on?

Hacked how? Someone finding out your password via phishing or other methods is not hacking.

Paypal is very secure, it has to be given the amount of money they deal with. I'd like you to show me some details of genuine, brute force/direct hacking of accounts.

Adding your bank account is very safe. The full details are saved in a secure file. Even if someone were to get into your paypal account they can't see your full banking details. They can see your bank name and last four numbers of your account. Same for credit cards, you only see the last four digits when you get access to the account.

If you worry about safety you shouldn't have a credit card at all.

Edit: Talking about bank accounts, I completely missed the point. :banghead:

I am a full member on Project Cars, but I'm not able to download and play the game's current builds. I can't access most of the forum threads there, either. I know about the FSA problems but does that mean I can't play alpha builds for now?

As far as I know you can only play monthly builds, or was it weekly? At least not all.

The current system is freezed with only the members having an option to leave & get money back (who foool would do that?). No new members no new upgrades to the current members. As said there will be new arrangements to handle the next gen console version "project", official info following on near future.
I am a bit disappointed that current system you no longer can fund anymore, was planning to upgrade to a similar level as you but thankfully there is a lot of positive news and will definitely invest money into the next-gen consoles project though. It is amazing how much access they have offered and rewards at such a low cost in current project. All sides of the game seem to be coming along well too, excited about how final physics will shape up and which F1 driver they potentially might get involved with the game 👍.

Well I bet most would have put more in if it would have been re-enabled, me including.

Yep, I am mainly annoyed with myself as I missed out by like a few days on being able to upgrade my tool pack, feels like a huge opportunity missed. Thankfully they are kind enough to let us get in on the next-gen consoles project 👍. I am excited about what AJ has planned for us regarding physics, I also saw you are ahead of Nic in Formula B, he seems very quick.

👍

Nic would have easily put in a better lap as well.. there's plenty time still, was satisfied once went past him and didn't push more. Will wait for the next set of tires now and then again :P

edit,

here's a snip of Andrews yesterday post on the new tire stuff.. Here's many good folks that might be interested of this kind of little details.

AJ
Today a new tread model went in. Here is a cut&paste of some commit comments I made.

Trying to drive towards FlexiCarcass I ended up having to more than just stub out a bunch of interrelated components. That's where ModalCarcass came from, and that is where FlashTread came from. As you can see in the parameters in tire.rg for this, there is a lot of new stuff, and just about none of it is "bolt on" or "canned". It is all just applying more detailed models down at the setae level.

A quick bullet list of what FlashTread has:
* "grip" broken out into deformation, adhesive, viscous, tack, and tear models
* flash effect (temperature variance through the contact patch at asperity level)
* curing (race tires are not typically delivered fully cured)
* water, including hydroplaning (which happens organically)
* loose material model (for gravel, sand, dirt, etc)
* improved setae kernel blending model
* tread rubber thickness and channels are modeled
* seta stiffness and some other parameters derived from Shore Hardness
* tread wear (and flat spots do just fall out)

......
.....
....
...

Note that this is only small small portion of the post and the bigger picture so too far going conclusions are useless. Also EVERYTHING is subject to change! :sly: And no - I can't answer any questions about those things. I just hope some of you at least enjoy reading this kind of stuff. :)

Nic uses like buttons on steering wheel I think for braking at least, I already heard he is quick at sims before though but still quite impressed. I will probably start getting more involved after June time, so will be interesting to see if I can keep up with you aliens. My only benchmark I have is Joni who is a fellow Finn for you I guess, can you beat him in an event? He is quite fast, I was a few tenths off him when I first was trying out the game.

Well don't think at my current "shape"

I remember him being neck to neck with Ramon on some TT there so I know I can match Ramons laps on my best day (whitch might be behind already mind you :p )

There is currently an event on your favourite track I think and he is leading that. Also leading a few tracks with Formula cars which you might be interested in seeing if you can beat him, I have only reference with Formula B to him. It will be interesting to see in your current "shape" if you can beat him if you have the time .

I was a complete newbie to the game when I tried it and surprised I got so close which made me like the game more , because so far it means I can be competitive at it. Things can still change regarding that if physics alterations move away from me but I am hoping it brings it closer to my direction. Will be fun to try out the new tyres for me soon, I haven't played in a long while.

I rather use my time testing tires and giving feedback than sweating after the last tenths (at this phase of dev) tbh. Moved to a new place where I once again have my rig now - so looking forward to be more active on that front in near future :)

See you soon on track 👍, will be great to have some friendly GTP competition ;).

Unless if there's a new project being started for possible next gen console and joining that would get you access to the PC builds.
